Hi! My name is Loretta, a girl from the U.S. who moved to Japan! I'm here on the MEXT scholarship program as a graduate student, studying to get a Masters in Business Administration. Here are some answers to common questions:
    1. Do I Speak Japanese? Yep! I was taught formally in High School and have been speaking now for over 15 years.
    2. What are you studying? I'm a recent grad of Yokohama National University's "Masters of Business Administration" Program
    3. How old are you?: Year of the dragon. :D The math is up to you.

Loretta, I've just checked out your first videos on youtube which dated 2007. I'm actually shocked 'cuz I always thought that Japanese takes that long for studying only in my case, but I found out that it takes more than 10 years for many people to reach an advanced level. I recognized myself in your videos 日本語の難しさ and I remember how I wanted to give up so many times when I couldn't pass N2. I passed it on my fourth try. My third try's general score was okay but there weren't enough 2 points in 読解 section. I'm 25 now and preparing for N1 with my italki teacher. I still have some issues with reading and hate it so much, but do my best. You give me the inspiration to try my best!
Sorry if I have any mistakes above, I'm not a native English speaker as well((

The bubble era must've been crazy to have been a part of. I'd like to talk with people that were young adults during those times.
16:50 Ryo and I would get along well. I LOVE umeboshi. I regularly order it at the izakaya I go to weekly.

I love these casual talks, so I can practice my listening skills. XD Especially, hearing girls talk. Since I usually listen to comments or interviews of my favorite bands, I hear more male speech, so I sometimes talk very male-ish which is totally weird for a girl. I mean, I don't mind that much but I want to learn how to talk properly.
Right now, I'm preparing for N3 in December, so having some fun practices in between helps a lot. ^^
