Yeaaa, if I'm ever getting my hands on this game, I think I' won't let them die 😕cause the facial expressions are way to real and sad for me to watch. 😢😅
Yeah, in the Sims the deaths are so exaggerated you can barely feel bad for the characters, in this case they at least make you feel like something bad has happened for sure

I like how Kim just takes an apple to tame her hunger instead of cooking a full meal. Its realistic plus that means 3 paras in the same house wont be making dinner at the same time
and they're actually eating the food instead of just placing it in their inventories! lol

I absolutely love how the girl para gets hungry and autonomously goes to the fridge and grabs a light snack she can eat quickly - an apple - rather than grabbing a bunch of ingredients and randomly baking a cake which is super time consuming

@@augusto7681 I mean, I know it's a pretty simple feature but what I'm getting at here is that it's way more realistic to have the character pick up a light snack when they're a bit hungry than grabbing a bunch of ingredients to bake a big meal

I REALLY hope that Paras can take of themselves while I’m away for a moment to go to the washroom, for example.
I think if the autonomy is this good then they should be able to eat, sleep, and use the bathroom on their own if need be

that was an amazing animation for death.
idk, it was very well done and the way he moved was pretty natural, but it looked like he more just decided to lay on the floor instead of actually falling from weakness, like he's just having a stomachache or something. still a nice animation tho

I’m hoping for a ‘realistic’ option. Medical or mortuary personnel, maybe… even a ceremony of some kind!
@@oldvlognewtricks Oh my gosh what if a CSI van or something pulled up to the area and loaded the body up. And some personnel take statements!

I'd say as funny as it is. they might disappear when they die, medical or mortuary personnel could be summoned (or called) to collect the Para. Or, (For Halloween, whether the event or. a OPTIONAL DLC, a Mythological Being, such as Thanatos/Death may show up and take them into the afterlife)
I can't wait to see how Pregnancy and Baby systems work! Building a Family Tree is my favorite part of Life Sim games.

I like how they voluntarily lay on the floor as though they are accepting death instead of simply falling over
Hunger is generally quite gradual… Maybe there are other causes that trigger a sudden collapse?

I do love the over-the-top animations in The Sims, but this definitely matches the vibes of Paralives better 👍
I remember when Paralives was first announced and I thought, "Oh, it'll take a few years to come out! I'll probably be a junior in high school!". Tomorrow I move into my college dorm, lol. But jokes aside, I am beyond hyped for this game and am so thrilled you're taking the time to make it perfect! Keep it up
Same when they first announced it I had just finished high school and now I have just graduated college and I'm getting my first job. But at least they are taking their time. They are an indie team, so of course it will take longer than a company with a huge team.

@@Sim-dil-e-iciousRight? Why are these guys taking so long? EA immediately gave us a game! They were smart enough to ignore unimportant parts of the game like pools, toddlers, basements, ghosts. In my opinion, the sims 4 was better as it released. I hate pools and basements. Having a game with no toddlers made it worth $60 at the time.
Even though paralives has like 15 developers, they're taking too long!! I think they need to do what EA did and just get rid of unimportant features like pools or basements. I hope that when the sims 5 comes out, they take out the child, infant amd toddler stages! It makes the game cleaner and run better. I hate when devs "take their time" to "optimize the game". YUCK! EA never bothered with optimization, that's why we always have so many cool kits coming out!

Loving the more realist approach to death, but I hope there will be more side effects of hunger before leading to the actual death, like not being able to stand for long, being lethargic, dizzy… etc.

Can you guy make them ask for help when they are trapped? If i make changes to a mansion level house and accidentally trap one of the household members, we need to know before its too late.
I agree there should definitely be some kind of "route fail" indicator, even just a tooltip saying [Para can't go this way]. I don't want to follow to closely to other games, but it also helps to indicate what specifically the obstacle is such as an item in the walkway or a lack of door/stairs.
I imagine there's already something planned for this though.

The animation and expressions of the paras make you feel for them. Nicely done. I like that it's not over-the-top.
I'm interested in how Paras will eat. Hopefully the female Para was just grabbing a quick snack, but if she really wanted a meal she would close the fridge door and sit. So excited for every update showing the progression of this game! 🤩

God damn, congrats on making us feel bad if we kill them, that's how it should be. Just the slow climb onto the ground had the right kind of realism to it.

So they’ve been working on this for 4 years! I think I remember seeing one of their videos some time ago! Does anyone know if they have a placeholder or planned release date?
I like how he just kinda quietly dies. It's so much different and more realistic than in the sims when a giant, loud theme starts to ceremoniously play and then the grim reaper himself appears.
It's much less annoying and moreso sad in a way. I kinda hope we get funerals, too. I hate that there are no funerals in the sims.

Animations like Electrocution, Fire (Provided it isn't from Smoke Inhalation, which is more likely to kill than the fire itself) and Drowning will probably have a more Chaotic, Dramatic Energy

A Quest 3 port of the game that lets us live our lives as the Parafolk would be a dream come true for many players. I hope you can make a quest port of this game.
Maybe if a para is hungry, they will first get a light and quick snack then they will initiate to make a bigger meal if their bar is low?

the only thing i could possibly hope for, for this game and for any and all upcoming sims competitors... is that they will choose the nearest sinks or dishwashers to go to to put dishes away. i wish that my sims or people will put their dirty plates in the dishwasher thats in the same room as them rather than going up 3 flights of stairs just to go to a random bathroom sink thats behind a locked door so they just scream "i cant walk" for days and days and days until they die

Really hope y'all aren't afraid of including some "unrealistic" elements, like Death appearing to take them away. It makes the game's universe fun and immersive! Of course, no need to mimic the other franchise; but please keep Paralives' world interesting! ❤
Hello! It's been 4 years and I've been following the development of this amazing game for a long time. I know that ideas can be sent to discord - but that's not my way :)
I'll write it right here. Maybe I'll get lucky!
I really want it to be possible to change almost everything in the city. Roads, lights, perhaps a background (if these are some houses)
I'm really tired of the props in The Sims 4, which make up almost 50% of the game and can't be touched - it's sad.
I see how competently and meticulously you approach the details and I will be glad to see such settings in Paralives.

I like how Paras aren't obnoxiously theatrical. I've always disliked how Sims in 3 and 4 started having really really over the top "wacky" animations for everything. 4 is especially terrible for it, they cannot do ANYTHING like a normal person and it just feels so artificially "quirky" and "wacky" that it's annoying and unfun.

Is removing a door in a empty room with only one chair while the parafolk is in there the paralives version of removing the pool latter while a sim is swimming
Oouh i like that the girl grabs snack when hungry, something simple not a full on meal, just a snack that will boost her (and keep her alive) until you decide to cook something
The chair is flipped over! Even that adds more realism, when objects can be manipulated by the characters
