No other singer can achieve this perfection. No one alive. For anyone that posts a "dislike" they don't know anything about music. They simply want to be cruel. Shame on them. This is vocal beauty that they don't understand. They probably listen to rap or jam music. They need to just leave it at that. Not understanding great music is not their fault....they just are uneducated.

She's one of the rarest of artists that can and does do songs in one take, because she sings from the heart; if you sing from the heart, you're singing from truth... and with a voice like that... the result is usually a perfect song the first time.
Some had the privilege of being on the planet when Jesus was here or Mark Twain or Charles Dickens or Socrates. I'm blessed to share this planet with Barbra Streisand. I love you, Barbra.

I learned long ago that Queen Barbra experienced stage fright--like a normal human.
Young singers, understand that fear to sing IS a thing.
Work through it, as this master did.
Be afraid to put it out there, and DO IT any way.
While I "have the floor": Embrace and learn from being offended, disgusted, and profoundly hurt.
Take risks with your voice and your life.
How could you be a singer otherwise?
Not suggesting you go crazy.
Just imploring you to fully experience love, hurt, rejection, disgust, etc.
To do that, you must live a life.
Get out there, and meet real people in real time.
I was lucky enough to get tickets when Barbara had a couple of concerts in London, roughly 1994-5 I think. She took my breath away when she sang “….nobody, but nobody’s, gonna rain on… my…pa..rade”! I felt like I was going to fly around the venue with the power and perfection of her voice…added to which was Marvin Hamlisch doing what he did best! His absolute very best. How lucky was I? (Broke too!) I always said I would remortgage my house if that’s what it took to see her, and it very nearly came to that (widow with 2 small children)! I never regretted seeing them/hearing them both. I just dreaded the following month when my credit card statement arrived!!

For 57 years, yes 5. 7. This amazing talent, woman, actress /singer Barbra has given me endless joy and sorrow listening to her velvet voice. This does not disappoint.

Only Barbra Streisand can do what happens at 1:35 and 3:23. How does she do that? How does she vault up the scale and land on a higher, difficult note with identical tone, effort and vibrato, and then effortlessly, somehow expand the sound on the high note in all directions? Other singers either strain to reach the high note with additional effort, or loose intensity, or shift vibrato to get there, but she absolutely nails the transition and then miraculously somehow expands the difficult note. She is a vocal gymnast. No other singer does it. And this is her first and only take of the song?? Can you hear that? Just amazing.
And what's even more amazing is when you watch her sing, her neck, throat, mouth, and face are so relaxed, like there's not an ounce of strain or exerted effort on any note. It's just like she opens her mouth and Nighthingales fly out.
Now I'm crying. Throughout her unparalleled career, she kept topping herself.
Magical. She's the greatest female singer ever. She could sing the telephone directory and make it extraordinary!

Holy crap! How can this be in a vault? Her voice is so inspiring and insanely poetic.
Her voice is one of a kind. As she matures ( age wise) her high range is missing a few keys, but she arranges the song to still sound amazing. For those new to Barbra- I suggest you go down the rabbit hole of 60s 70s. Even 80s...still my favorite female singer hands down to this day

Even though they have different singing styles (and i think Barbra IS the better vocalist) and different styles of music, they have a bit in common, too. Don't listen to the haters and snobs. I started to listen to Barbra when i was 6 now i am 56 and still listen to her glorious voice. She does what she likes, and i like what she does, after all these years she keeps suprising with amazing music. For me the passion part is entering a new relationship, seeing each other as equals, building something new together and experiencing each other in a romantic way. The pride part also known as the ego makes its way into a relationship which can be so many different ways like higher job position, an affair or even supporting someone else financially watch can completely change the dynamic that was first Felt in the relationship. That’s why I Believe the power of forgiveness heals all situations and we have to remind ourselves why are we fell in love with the person in the first place.
