Congrats on 9 years mate. You really inspired me to dive deeper and try new places, shot my first big time fish last week (140cm Spanish mackrel) and I’d like to thank you 🤝🏽
Wish you many more happy years together, travelling the world! Great catches and beautiful footage but those muddy waters reminded me of spearfishing for Seabass! I see you are liking the charcoals now! 😁
So good to finally have enough phone service to watch this video, well worth the wait! I know I say all your videos are well put together but this one was something else, the footage, commentary and story telling were all on point 👌 It’s much easier to film and get footage when there’s just the two of you hey!
No worries mate family and friends are more important than filming for a video especially when you haven't seen them in a while. Amazing video and congratulations on 9 year's.
Congrats on 9 years 🎉love videos ,come to croatia in summer ,if you can in town Novigrad in dalmatia , sea Novigrad is very good ,we could go spearfishing together if you would like ,I have boat, have good places for nice fishes
Thanks for reassuring us that those sounds were indeed humpback whales, thought for a moment that someone was facing the consequences of a SPICY Wagamamas
Wonderful video! What a wonderful way to spend an anniversary with your beautiful wife. Congratulations. 🥳 thank you for bringing such great content. Sitting in freezing cold Idaho in the US it’s so nice to see content of warm water sport spearfishing.
Beautiful country. Been there for work quite a bit. Beauty of living in the U.K. is I can fly there in the morning, shoot the interview and be home that night… was a long day though I just admit 😂
Congratulations!! 100 more anniversaries to come. Wish you happiness above everything! One more amazing video mate!! Love it!! If you are still there try to hit a red emperor
In some of your earlier videos you have mentioned that you have built multiple spearguns. It would be really cool in the near future if you document your building of one. Keep it up, I love your vids
I managed to get my wife on a fishing trip during our honeymoon but she has never fallen for that again, you must be pretty good at sugar coating. Surely trout is in the top 5 so versatile, crumbed, baked, numus, curries. Each to there own i guess, keep up the great videos.
Hey Dan, good videos mate. Still watching your content. Welcome back to the big island and look fwd to seeing you and Tim chase barramundi in the next one 👍
The carbon guns were made with lots of foam, resin, fibreglass, carbon fibre and plenty of swearing. Essentially you make your core, then using vacuum bagging, add your composite layers on top of that.
I just think they are a bit overrated as a fish when everyone says they are the best in the world. Any day of the week I'd rather eat a red emperor, Venus tusk fish, large mouth nannygai, threadfin salmon or goldspot wrasse.
5:37 am I crazy or is there some sort of very camouflaged fish on the wreck? Looks like a scorpion fish but too big! I'm not familiar with Australian fish :D
11:25 just hold you hold that fish that is not the right way to haul it because it could slide off of the spear gun if the flange is not pierce to the other side of the fish🫡🙏🏾🙏🏾🤙🏾🤿
Love the video ❤ super couple next time try to make food on the beach ... i think if you try to take the camera and dive together and let your wife take the shot speafishing so we will see something new
Thanks @@DanielMann ! They look awesome. I must say that my first impulse was to look for them so I could buy them too, but I can not find them, not even at Omer website lol...Could you send me the link of your suplyer please? you would make me a huge favour. Can´t wait for your next video! take care amigo
@@l4nc4ster7 it's a new model for 2023 so may not be in all stores yet. You can see it in the Omer catalogue though www.omersub.com/wp-content/themes/trackstore-child/assets/pdf/cataloghi/OMER-GlobalBuyersGuide2023.pdf
I find coral trout a bit bland to be honest. The best part of them for me is the skin. In Australia I'd rather eat red emperor, snapper, grassy emperor, Venus tusk fish or scorpion fish.
Hey Dan, Nice video as usual. Do you know any doctors around Brisbane that specialise in diving/sinus problems? Every time I go I get about 20-30 mins before something blocks up in my head and serious pain only 1m below the surface
I laughed at the proposal thing....because it drew many parallels. Our family was flying out to meet my brother who was on his uni gap year in Australia, and to meet in Sydney for his 21st birthday. Short story was, I'd decided to propose when we did the Harbour bridge climb. I'd managed to get this ring half way across the world and to the top of Sydney Harbour bridge, without being busted. Down on one knee at the top, asking the question, to be met with 'are you joking....?' No, no. I'm not 🙄🙄
Hey mate - how come that you’ve given up your aqualung micromask ? Also is that the omer wolf ? How is it ? Seems like it have a smaller field of view, can you share your thoughts on it ? And also how is diving with polarized lenses compared to regular ones ? Great video as always
I’ve not given up on it. Still a great mask just very hard to find new at a reasonable price so testing alternatives. Omer is owned by Aqualung so naturally the design of the wolf mask is a similar fit. For me it has the same or slightly wider view than the micro. The lenses are polarised just a coating that adds a bit of contrast to the view. I quite like it and doesn’t darken the view much at all.
Happy anniversary 🎉 but 9 years and no kids as a dad of 2 I would highly recommend a baby for you both lol parenting is hard but rewording 🤣🤣what I am saying don't have any have fun sleep in 🤣
Here in the Florida, there is a huge superstition about having bananas on the boat while spearfishing. I’m curious how that got started and why people believe in it.
I think historically if you had bananas on long voyages it would ripen other fruits prematurely and was deemed bad luck as your fruit would go rotten. That’s what I’ve heard at least anyways. Very bad luck in Australian fishing circles too!
14:30, i hear "tokmo"... they have these in Australia... haha, turtle doves... Happy anniversary. Greetings from the Philippines
Congrats on 9 years!!! And thanks for taking us all along on your anniversary!
Thanks so much!
Congrats on 9 years mate. You really inspired me to dive deeper and try new places, shot my first big time fish last week (140cm Spanish mackrel) and I’d like to thank you 🤝🏽
That’s a great fish Alex, you’ll be eating well for a long time!
Wish you many more happy years together, travelling the world!
Great catches and beautiful footage but those muddy waters reminded me of spearfishing for Seabass!
I see you are liking the charcoals now! 😁
Cheers Dimos, it was about 5-8m visibility, not the worst but not great for spotting bull sharks 🥵
It sure takes big b@lls!
0:48 no bananas on board 😂😂 congrats🎉 for your 9 years, you 2 are a beautiful couple 🫶
Congrats on your 9 years.

Thank you for highlighting my comment. Recognition means a lot when someone has depression.
Love to see a clip from so close to home, great Trout and Jack mate. Looking forward to the next Australia session.
Congrats to the two of you. Wish you many more happy moments. ✌🏻
Thank you Gamaliel!
Awesome video mate. Very close to my stomping grounds. Enjoy our wonderful waters while you are here. Again great video

I love trevally sashimi! I’d be happy with that 👍👍
Good old C-ski 440. Awesome boat!
Love that little thing.
Brooooo that schoal of goldens was amazing! Congrats to your anniversary keep it up mate.
Thanks Leo, the goldens are an impressive fish that’s for sure!
Happy Anniversary guys! 🍀
Thanks John!
Wicked show mate👊👌
Great vid mate, love the Australian content. Looking forward to learning more!
Thanks mate, I’m sure you’ll be experiencing similar things soon.
Congrats on 9 years!!! My wife said the same thing to me when I proposed in Alaska...lol
Seems like a standard response 🤣
Good anniversary.
Ciao Daniel & co.
Grazie mille Mario!
Congratulations Dan And Wifey,,,Hope to See Many More together with you guys,,😁🇱🇨👊🏼👍🏼♥️
Awesome. Happy anniversary.
It's just exactly like Europe. If Europe had some fish.
Can't wait to see Tim Mac again!
Haha indeed! It was a lot like Dubai actually, similar fish species and water clarity. Tim Mac appears in the next three episodes from Australia!
Wonderful video! What a wonderful way to spend an anniversary with your beautiful wife. Congratulations. 🥳 thank you for bringing such great content. Sitting in freezing cold Idaho in the US it’s so nice to see content of warm water sport spearfishing.

I don’t know how you don’t live in Australia all year. What a beautiful place.
It’s just too far from anywhere else in the world…

No sugar coating necessary 😎 To me trout is just quite bland, loads of things I prefer to eat.
Another fantastic video 👌👌👌

Good luck getting the Baramundi!
Luck was on our side!

Hey Dan, good videos mate. Still watching your content. Welcome back to the big island and look fwd to seeing you and Tim chase barramundi in the next one 👍
Cheers Kane! The barramundi are super fun to hunt.
What boat is that one very interested
Casually spearfishing with whale sounds in the background, could travel to AUS for that reason alone. A well spent anniversary;)
All I think of is all the great white sharks following the whales so not super comforting for me 🤣
Hmm I can see that issue🤔 but whale song is idyllic even then!
0:01 bruh I live near there just out the front of this river is where I was with a 7ft bull shark man I wish I went last week
Luckily your lass isn't the one that got away congratulations mate
I love diving wrecks! Im real interested in how you made your homemade carbon guns, I always thought those things looked sick.
The carbon guns were made with lots of foam, resin, fibreglass, carbon fibre and plenty of swearing. Essentially you make your core, then using vacuum bagging, add your composite layers on top of that.
@@DanielMannHaha nice just like a skimboard but it can kill. I appreciate it, I’ll have to try that someday thanks Dan!
Hey mate ! What kind of boat is it ?
Fibretek C-ski 440
Can we get a top 5 best eating fish video Dan? For trout not to be in top 5 there must be some real tasty fish I don't know about
I just think they are a bit overrated as a fish when everyone says they are the best in the world. Any day of the week I'd rather eat a red emperor, Venus tusk fish, large mouth nannygai, threadfin salmon or goldspot wrasse.
What was that thing you picked up when you shot the coral trout? A rock? A box crab?
I thought it was some sort of mollusc but ended up being empty when I checked it in the boat.
Finally some content with timothy. He doesn't upload so this is a rare gem indeed.
You’ll love the next three videos from Australia, all featuring the man himself!
Awesome video, and happy anniversary! What mask are you using now :)?
This is the Omer Alpha wolf.
Hi Dan what's that mask you have in this video?
It’s the Omer Alpha Wolf mask.
I could see the barb out the other side of the fish so no problems.
Love the video ❤ super couple next time try to make food on the beach ... i think if you try to take the camera and dive together and let your wife take the shot speafishing so we will see something new
Thank you 🙏🏻
hello Daniel, really love your videos, just wondering what mask is that and where did you get it ?
Hey Deran, it’s the new Omer Alpha wolf mask. Should be available anywhere omer is stocked 👌
Cracker vid again the jack being too big for the BBQ and having to cut the tail off got me laughing.
I like to think of it as the BBQ was too small for the Jack!
👍
hey daniel you should come spearfishing with me in croatia.cheerrss!!
How long you last under water ..in around 15 meters deep??
Depends on the conditions but sometimes long enough to shoot a fish.
What sort of mask are you using ?
I find the C4 falcon leaks with my big Maori nose
This is the Omer Alpha Wolf. Fits me nicely just like the aqualung micro mask.
Happy anniversary!! Nice video btw. Love your mask, could you tell me the brand plase? thanks a lot in advance

It must be a bit different diving in a Australia after diving around the world for a while
Definitely, fish are much easier to spear and plenty more of them.
