I grew up when these bands first came out. Both were energetic and tight as a band. Fast forward till now and she has taken it’s toll on both these bands but I think Def Leppard has it more than Bon Jovi has. Bon Jovi has no soul left plus no Richie Sambora equals no Bon Jovi. Long live the Leps!!!!!

Got to agree 100% with you Billy Rawls, I grew up the same time and loved leppard but not so much Bon Jovi. Leppard still kicks ass although I miss the Rif- God, Steve Clark. As for Anchovie the only reason I’ll watch them is I dig and appreciate Phil X he is actually too good for Bon Jovi. Jon needs to swallow his pride and get singing lessons. It doesn’t matter how successful you’ve been, if you can’t keep on top of your breathing technique, this is how it’s going to sound. I’ll guarantee Joe Elliot still gets help with his technique, his voice is still extremely powerful and he’s not out of breath after 5 minutes.

It is so great to see two very old best mates together on a ticket, Joe Elliot and his old mate Jon 'Obama loving' Bon Jovi. These two go back to the best decade ever, Leppard are with Van Halen the only 2 groups to have x2 records be certified Diamond in the USA, an amazing feat, that is x20 million records sold, 'Pyro' sits at 25 million, 'Hysteria' the same really, and given their real genius lyrically and musically Steve 'The Riffmaster' Clark's loss has been incalculable, Leppard still touring off Steve's work really, Elliot has a more rasper voice but it has held up. Sadly, and was never a real BJ fan, it is sad to see Jon BJ here, his voice is gone, it has been evident for some time, when he toured Asia recently I was given a ticket and went and it was painful to see given his massive input and staggering success. This is NOT Bon Jovi, no Richie NO Bon Jovi, the two guitarists Phil X and a bloke I have no idea who the fuck he is are not the same as Richie who was a unique guitarist, but one hopes before they retire they can re unite. Cos this is sad. And I mean NO malice at all, just a subjective opinion. Leppard still kick arse, yes they go though the motions, yes they do not have their original line up but Collen joined just prior to Pyromania after Pete was booted and Vivian as we all saw with Dio is SO under used, Viv is a brilliant guitarist, blows Collen away, again just my opinion. And the other point I'd make is unlike fake KISS, both these bands above refuse to use backing vocals, this is the shit, this is pure rock n roll, warts n all. Good lord Bad Name is my favorite song but this sounded terrible. After Richie left it went down hill. Only he sounds good singing with Jon. It was nice to hear them back together at the RRHOF induction
Haven't seen a footage of them live for years, they sound amazing for their age, shame the audience don't seem to appreciate them. Was a massive metallica fan in the 80's but their live performances now are embarrassing. Well done the lep's!!
Def Leppard is good. But Bon Jovi is phenomenal! Even after so many years they have it all! That being said- they're the best rock bands and it would be great if they did a few shows together.
That's what you get when you place a show like this on a field, as far away possible from our cultural cities. A stunned crowd who has no clue what so ever. This gig would have looked a lot different in Aarhus, Odense or Copenhagen. But thanks for the upload. I was fun to watch.

Crush was released in 2000 and he was great on that record plus Jon could still deliver live in 2006...I saw them at Milton Keynes, UK and he was fine. 2010 in Bristol he was okay...found some of the older stuff difficult but was hitting the notes. Something has changed drastically in the interim and I think it's the loss of Richie. He seems devoid of energy, soul and passion. You can't sing without those qualities i'm afraid.

I love Bon Jovi however they are, but really I miss the original (80s) Bon Jovi. Honestly they should have a reunion tour.

Crush was released in 2000 and he was great on that record plus Jon could still deliver live in 2006...I saw them at Milton Keynes, UK and he was fine. 2010 in Bristol he was okay...found some of the older stuff difficult but was hitting the notes. Something has changed drastically in the interim and I think it's the loss of Richie. He seems devoid of energy, soul and passion. You can't sing without those qualities i'm afraid.

Joe Elliot uses significant live "effects" for his vocals. But to be fair - the album versions all had massive vocal tomfoolery.

The background singing vocals are cranked twice as loud as JBJ's mic, so they can drown out (and hide) Jon's piss poor voice quality. In fact, he's pulling out all of the concert stagecraft tricks to cover up his vocal limitations.
He’s been doing that since the These Days Tour in 1995...his voice has been in decline since
