Nice to see PRican neighborhoods like these, wish we had more of them. Spanish Harlem next! Bronx was home to generations of🇵🇷sad to see how very little has been done to preserve what was once our stomping ground.
There should be a musem...and murals

My mom is Mexican but grew up in Humboldt Park and I grew up loving PR food even though we lived in Brighton/Gage/McKinley Park.

I live in Humboldt Park and Cafe Colao is one of the best coffee shops in the area.
I love Humboldt Park! I only lived there for a few years the park is absolutely gorgeous! In the summer it has boat cars to rent, multiple people bikes, local boricuas sell elote, chicharrón, paletas etc. One of my favorite places in Chicago ❤️

Within the last month I've recently moved from Humboldt park, Chicago to the neighborhood of Bushwick, Brooklyn & although it is NYC.
I'm always reminded of how Chicago truly stands on it own as the great city it is, especially through videos as yours, excellent video once again!
I have nothing but beautiful and precious memories of Humboldt park. Going to the parades and festivals with friends. To feeding the birds at the lagoon. And walking the park during the wintertime. There were times I'd go to the park at night and look at the water. Think and reflect. I've seen photos of the park from 100 years ago. And for personal reasons,I'll always take Humboldt park over wicker park any day of the week.
Can you please do a neighborhood tour of the Printers row neighborhood, or "Little India" on West Devon Avenue in West Ridge Chicago

Little India is a misappropriation…half of Devon is Pakistani, and there are a growing number of Bengali and other South Asian businesses. Calling this neighborhood Little India is disingenuous, or reserved for the same kind of people that call all Hispanic neighborhoods in Chicago Little Mexico. Let’s represent all cultures.

I grew up there and owned a home on Whipple St. from 1962 to 2010. From my home. it was 50 yds from the park and 100 yds from the 606 bike path. Had to leave because property taxes went up 300%. I still miss the area and wish I could move back but that is now impossible. Pity.

I visited Chicago last July to see the Riverwalk and walk the Lakefront Trail from Oak st. Beach along LSD to Buckingham fountain. A 3 day trip for walking and of course hot dog, pizza, italian beef, polish sausage on maxwell st.I love Chicago, live in NM now, but visit often.I grew up in Humboldt Park 50s and 60s, North and Pulaski. You make me almost book a trip. I miss the park.

Just subscribed. Love your videos. Your camera work is great, and your positive enthusiasm really projects through the videos. I lived a few decades by Humboldt Park and Division, and did notice tons of changes--improvements over time. That bakery on Division where you had coffee and that sweet "roll," used to be a Ukrainian Bakery before. After your video, I am going to stop there. Learned a lot of history from this video. Will definitely visit the art museum, and maybe often. I am a member of the Art Institute of Chicago, annual pass. As you probably grew up here, love to see you put together super quality and fun videos. Keep up your wonderful creative work. Oh, you could have mentioned the Humboldt Health Hospital, which as you know was the Norwegian American Hospital until recently. Best of luck to you.

Jimmy's is on Grand & Pulaski... I spent many a days there. I moved out South to Beverly but get to Jimmy's several times a year. I was there last year(had) just got my car washed & splat! A *Flying* *Rat* *AKA* *Seagull* got me. Jimmys and Roeser's are 2-stoos whenever I'm back in the old hood...

Great video very well put together. I don't think I was in that neighborhood but when I went to Chicago I made a special trip to ponce's Puerto Rican restaurant and I was amazing ill have to see the park next time I come to the chi. I'm glad you're highlighting the culture and positive aspects because being from out of town I only heard about the gangs in that area and to avoid it but I can't pass up on good Puerto Rican food lmao

Hated that I didn't have enough time to go here on my first trip to Chicago, but I'm going next summer and taking the kids.

Little League *almost* *got* *hit* *by* *lightening* to going to the Festivals in the summer to visiting my daughter who lives near the park now. Roeser's Bakery is where we Still get our birthday cakes from.
*Remember* *Folks* Roeser's is closed on Mondays.

I live all the way out in Beverly on the far Southside now but will be over that way for Xmas & my daughter & grandsons birthday on 12-31 & 1-13.
