I learned this technique from Lindsay, The Frugal Crafter and I use it all the time now and love it. I also use it to hold my embellishments in one small sheet that easier to display and then put them in the little plastic bags.
It is a lot harder to take off of that kind of plastic, for better results use sticker paper backing therefore they come off with ease, just a suggestion, since I use a toothpick to grab and place on an object, the other way you have to pry off.
Nice! What kind of glue are you using? How can you use this to 'all sorts of things' (as you stated) for example, art/painting - (1 that doesn't dry flat). Thank you~
i have seen this done also but they never say how well they work? I liked that you used then on the flowers as I always struggle with the hot glue gun and paper flowers ... thank you :)
Okay, I'm a little confused. Are these glue dots to be used to glue things together, or as enamel dots for decoration? If it's enamel dots, can you color them somehow?
You can make enamel dots by melting perler beads. Place the beads hole up onto parchment paper and put them in the oven. I've found that 285° for 30-35 minutes works best for me. They just slide right off the parchment paper after they cool down. Also, separate lights and darks, they take different times to melt all the way so the hole is completely filled.
Don't they dry out on the plastic? I've never heard of glue dots before, but I'm looking into making homemade greeting cards and ran across them. They seem convenient, just wondering how they work.
They dry tacky so you just press the back of the smaller piece onto it and peel/lift the dried glue dot off the plastic sheet, then you just stick it onto the card :) Rather than wet glue that may warp the cardstock. Perfect for making homemade greeting cards and definitely waaaaay cheaper as you can get thousands of dots, lines, writing (for foil), etc. out of one bottle. :) Endless possibilities! I am so excited as I've just discovered this glue. haha Please forgive my enthusiasm!

Thank you and they really do work well. The dots don't lay flat so good for flowers.
It also works on acrylic sheets

Please reply otherwise it is useless watching this.
It's also useless if you don't watch the video, because she SAYS what kind of glue it is at the 1:00 mark.
