When I'm scooping up a glue dot with my single placer, I rotate the pen and it twists the glue dot and helps get it inside. It will practically wind itself right inside.
Thank You so much for posting this video. After getting frustrated with the clay I decided to try out the micro glue dots. Once they came in the mail though there was one big problem - I had absolutely no idea how to use them! Your video was very helpful. So helpful in fact, I am going to pass this idea on to the couple of folks I've turned on to diamond painting as a way of relaxing!
Glad I could help! Thank you for commenting and letting me know it helped you out. I still love love love my glue dots!!
Just wanted to let you know that I got some of the glue dots and used them for the first time today. I spent a lot of time on my diamond painting today and haven't had to change it out yet. I also love the sound it makes when you place the drill down. I don't mind the pink wax, but it doesn't last long for me. Nothing else I've tried has lasted this long. So thanks again for the video.
Oh yay Mary Ann!! I’m glad you like them! They do last forever and a day!!!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️
I have tried using the pink ,blue wax. I even bought some paddywaxx but tonight im going to use my micro glue dots
Awesome!! Thanks so much for doing this video!! ❤
You are super welcome Laurie!! 😍😍
This was perfect! Thank u so much....heading over to Amazon now to order. 💕
You are so welcome Shay!! ♥️♥️
Great video! Now I love glue dots! Thank you!
I'm so super late to this, but, I basically just want your pen.🤣
Thank you so much! Gonna try this for sure! 💞
This was very helpful!! TY!! For sharing!!😊😊🖐🖐
Thanks so much for the video on these glue dots, ordered them asap. They are awesome.
I love me some glue dots!! I hope you love them too! 🥰🥰
Really loving that painting! I need to try out those glue dots. Thanks of the info!
You are more than welcome Kimberly! The painting is coming along nicely! 🥰
I’m definitely trying this
I spent sooo much in waxes! Discovered Glue dots this week and now know how to use it Tks!
I know what you mean! I have several waxes and find myself always going back to certain ones. Glue dots are an absolute fave of mine!
Very interesting I have just been using the wax that comes in the kits. Love the pen!
The wax that comes with the kits is just fine if that’s all you have on hand. It just tends to want to come out of the pen when placing ABs. That can be so annoying.
Love using glue dots! Personally I prefer using in my single placer only. Never thought of the turn over trick, but will try that. 😊 👍 Have a great weekend!! 😘
They’re such a great product for diamond painting and they do last such a long time! Yes, that turnover trick is great because you get to use it twice as long! 🥰🥰
Thanks for sharing your knowledge of how to use the micro glue dots.
This was very informative.. Thanks so much!
You are so welcome Bonnie!♥️
@@TheUNCraftyCrafter First time I loaded my single placer with the stabby tweezers, they won! Lol I am much more careful now!
@@BonnieAdams323 right??!! Those stabby tweezers mean business!
I have not tried glue dots yet but I might give them a go. 😁 Thanks for sharing Jenni🥰
You should totally give them a try Ashley!!
I’ll have to try this. I’ve just been using the wax that came with my kit since it’s my very first one.
Thank you so much for making this video. It's good to know I'm using the micro glue dots properly with the single placer but I didn't know it would work well with the multiplacer! No more phantom drilling for me! LOL ~ Kel
You go girl!!! Yes, no more phantom drilling lol!! That’s the worst! 😂😂
I have the everlasting tips and I use the Mini glue dots size 3/16 in (5mm). I only add one to the single placer tip and about 4 to the 3 placer. I turn mine over when they start to lose their stickiness and use the other side.
Nice!! I’ll have to snag me some of that size! Thanks for sharing that tip! ♥️♥️♥️
Thank u very much looks good.
You’re welcome!! ♥️
I also love your pin
Im super new to dp. I identify with you as I'm not crafty either. Can't paint for anything. I do do adult coloring which I love.
Now I have a new addiction!!!! New sub.
Omg thank you I didn’t know you can use glue dots in the multi placers I have the permanent adhesive dots that I brought from staples. Waiting for my micro glue dots to be delivered today.
Yes ma’am!! I love my glue dots!
Thank you so much for sharing this! Had never seen or heard of this before! Was wondering in your experience do you think this is better then tac?
I started using glue dots few months ago and love using it I always use my fingers to push them in never thought to use a tweezers
Tonight I am going to use my glue micro dots. Thanks for sharing
How did it work out for ya??! I usually only have to reload maybe every other week or so. It really just depends on how dirty or oily drills might be. Also, for some reason ABs and crystals make the glue dots less sticky. I just use either putty or plain blue or pink wax for ABs and crystals. The pen came from Enablers Outpost. They don’t make this one anymore - so I take really special care of it. It’s my fave! ♥️
@@TheUNCraftyCrafter it worked great. I'm hooked.
@@TheUNCraftyCrafter where did you get your pin.
@@sylviawilson972 Enablers Outpost but they don’t make this particular pen anymore.
@@TheUNCraftyCrafter thank you
I use glue dots too xx love them
I just love that they’re so easy to use and last such a long time!! ♥️
@@TheUNCraftyCrafter exactly and my friend can't get on with them 🤷♀️
@@sallyanncole2447 Hmmm!!! Maybe send her this video and see if that helps her out.
@@TheUNCraftyCrafter that's an idea 💡 💜
Thank u for this video. I have glue dots, but I wasn't sure how to put them into the different placers.
You’re welcome!!! 🥰♥️
I just got my micro glue today havent had a chance to use yet but didn't realize that it'd take so many micro dots for single placer so I'm wondering if instead of using the micro ones if it be better to use the bigger glue dots or if they'd be to big. Does anyone know?
I only use 2 micro glue dots in my single placer. It might depend on what kind of pen you have. They last forever so you won't be changing them that often.
Awesome! I had purchased them a while back but when I would try to use them they wouldn't release the diamonds. Now I know to “dirty them up” a bit and I will try again. Thanks Jenni. 😊
Stay Safe and Blessed❣️🤗👍💐
Yes ma’am!! You have to dirty them up a little bit Hahahhaha!!
@@TheUNCraftyCrafter 🤣🤣🤣
Would it work if you used the tweezers to pick it off & poke it in?
Great video. Personally, I wouldn’t go too big on the glue dots as the bigger they are the thicker they are as well. I like the Mini ones.
Oh wow okay, that’s great info to know Rene'!! So you don’t use the micro ones, but the mini ones?? I’ll have to grab some of those as well.
Thanks so much. I have the dots but didn’t know how to put in pen. I am hesitant to use metal tweezers in the metal ends so I don’t scratch them. But i will try now that I saw you do it. I will try to be extra careful though. Again, thanks.
Sure thing Ellen! Using toothpicks would probably of be better but I tend to be a rebel Hahahhaha!
This video is amazing!!! Thanks so much!! Please tell me where you got that amazing pen
Hiya!! Thanks so much! My pen came from Enablers Outpost. 🥰
Thanks. :)
What wax do you use for ab drills? You said not to use glue dots on abs. What wax should I use on my ab's?
Thanks so much for this video!!! The only issue I’m having is getting the glue dots to not bunch up to the center of my stainless steel multiplacer tips. They work fine in the single placer, but seemed to have the same issue with the plastic multiplacers. But with the stainless steel multiplacers, the dots kinda bunch up and start to migrate towards the center of the pen, no matter how much I try to keep them spread out across the pen. Any tips?? Do I need to just start placing drills and will that keep it spread out? I do use the micro dots so maybe I should try getting larger ones?
Hi there!! I’m sorry for the late reply. I hope you get a notification of this reply. So I used to have the same issue and the fix for it is that you can’t stretch the glue dots out across the placer. It will shrink back. What I do is put the dots in starting on the left side and then continue putting them in from left to right, using my tweezers to shove them in tight together. Another thing is if you’ve had wax in your placers before using glue dots and you’re having trouble, use a brand new placer bc the wax residue can keep the glue dots from sticking to the inside of the placers. Hope this helps!
I have used them for a couple months, since seeing GBmaltese do a video on them. I love seeing the word spread about them. That pop is really satisfying.
I still hadn’t tried them in a multiplacer yet. This gives me the confidence to try that now. Thanks.
That canvas you are working on is adorable. Where is it from?
My cat tries to eat the extra paper from the dot roll. I have to be super careful to tuck it away. I can’t just throw it away because he finds it in the little trash can by my craft table. He is a little a-hole.
I enjoy that pop sound too, with the glue dots! Try them in your multiplacer and let me know what you think!!!! 😊 This canvas is super cute - it’s called Natures Assistant from Bella Sephina. It’s a Sherri Baldy. Cats are generally little butts anyway, Hahahhaa!!!! 🥰
Thank you for that tutorial. I’m going to try them. Btw, what’s the name of the pen you got from Enabler’s outpost. I love it!!
You are so welcome! I’m not sure what the name of that pen is. However, if you tell them that you want the purple and teal glitter pen they will probably know what you’re talking about.
Can I use glue dots in my multiplacer? What about using them on my ab's? Thank you.
Yes, absolutely
Thank you for the tutorial. I bought some glue dots and couldn’t keep it in my pen when I tried to remove the excess. I will try using the sharp tweezers.
Yes, try those pointy sharp tweezers! They work great.
Just starting out and will give these a try. Where did you get your pen?
My pen came from enablers Outpost.
How many glue dots should I put in the pen? I'm using a single placer.
What can I use for my ab's?
Can I put them in my multiplacer?
Thanks for the video. Do they leave any residue on your drills? Have you ever tried the museum putty?
You are welcome Mary Ann! The glue dots do not leave any residue thank goodness. No I have not tried the museum putty yet but I want to. 💜
@@TheUNCraftyCrafter Thanks, that's good to know.
Hello Mary Ann. I have used the museum wax with great success. Not the blue tac, but the one called “Quake Hold.” I had a package for several years and used it to keep flower pots from falling over and only now started using it for diamond painting.
😎😍
😘😘
Hi, I need some help please? My glue dots keep on coming out of my stainless steel tips, what am I doing wrong?
Too much dots and I can't let go of the diamonds. Too little dots and I can't pick up a diamond. What should I do? Thanks 😊 Dianna
Can you use these on materials like Tee shirts or sweatshirts?
I’m not sure, I’ve never tried that before.
I just use my fingers to press the dots into my pen tip. Much much easier than tweezers. I do use tweezers to turn it over.
Do the glue dots work as well in Everlasting multi tips too
Yes, they do!! 🤩🤩
How often do you have reload.
I love your DP pen! Where did you get it please?
I purchased it from Enablers Outpost on Etsy, however, I’m pretty sure this color has been discontinued. 😭
Where did you get your pen? Love the size and colors.
The pen is from EnablersOutpost on Etsy.
That pen is gorgeous. Are you able to share where you got it?
Thank you! It came from Enablers Outpost but they no longer make this particular pen. 💔
I use them all the time in my single placer pens you can diamond paint for ages when you got glue dots in your pen
That’s for sure Tracy they do last for a really really really long time!!
Great Job Jennie! I bought the wrong size and that didn't work for me... I couldn't find Micro.. Bought mini and I couldn't use it. Going to try again soon.
I haven’t tried the mini size so I’m not sure if it would work or not. Maybe you can try using them in your multi placer.
Were did you by your pen
Omg where did you get your pen???? I love it 🥰
It came from enablers outpost on Etsy! ♥️
Should fill it with the wax first and last Layer with dot
How long before you have to replace the glue dots in the pen with fresh new ones?
Hey Lisa - it really depends but they last a really long time. I usually have to change them out after a week or longer.
How long do they last in your pen
Hi Sharon! They last for several several days!☺️☺️☺️☺️
I have a stainless steel cat ear single placer and it only takes 1 micro dot. My problem is the dot slips out of the tip! Very frustrated! It worked better with the cheap pink pen! Any suggestions? Ricki Lieberman 💙💎💙💎💎💎
Did it previously have wax in it? I know sometimes if I have any kind of wax in my stainless steel tips and then clear it out and put micro glue dots in, the glue dots will slip out. Eventually though it will work once all the leftover wax remnants are out.
What is the name of the company on Etsy that you got your tray from? I tried looking it up but I don’t think I’m spelling it right lol
It’s Munimade but they have a website now. They’re not on Etsy anymore. Look up Munimade.com
Can you please tell me where you got your pen, I so want one.
Dawn, my pen came from Enablers Outpost on Etsy! 😍
"Turn it over" when it starts to lose its stickiness. What a great tip! Thank you so much, Jenni💜🤗💜
Did I miss the "ding, ding, ding"?
Hahahhaha Sandra. That made me laugh out loud!! Ding ding ding!! 🔔🔔🔔
Hi !! Where can I get that pen ???
Hi Sylvie! You can find them at Enablers Outpost! You should also find their Facebook group. Here’s the link to their Etsy. etsy.me/2QRjJTC and to their Facebook group. facebook.com/groups/642883796215708/?ref=share
Hi, I wanted to ask you a question about your pen. It’s absolutely gorgeous. Does it have a name? I would love to have one just like it. Do you know the name of the blank that they used?
Hi Josiane - that’s such a pretty name!! ♥️ I don’t think the pen has a name. Everyone just calls it the purple and teal glitter pen. 🤷🏻♀️ LOL! You should be able to send them a screen shot of the pen and they’ll know exactly what you want. 🥰🥰🥰
@@TheUNCraftyCrafter thank you so much😀😀😀
Honestly if it weren't for glue dots this is a hobby I would have up on. I was about ready to decide diamond painting was more frustrating than zen. Then came glue dots. I know this video is a year old, but I wonder how many people still use the wax. Once anyone tries the glue dots, I'm not sure why they'd ever go back to wax.
Same Nina!!! Glue dots alllllll the way!!! ♥️🙌
What is AP
Where did you get your pen?
Enablers Outpost ♥️
@@TheUNCraftyCrafter thank you
Why use glue dots instead of the wax....what's better about them?
Glue dots last much much longer without having to fill as often.
Why don’t you just use the wax that comes with the diamond kit. Just seems like a lot of work for noticing
They last a lot longer than the traditional pink wax. I have to change the pink wax out multiple times during one session. The glue dots last me typically a week. So while it may take a little longer to first load up I save a lot of time over all and able to enjoy my sessions without constantly having to stop and replace my wax.
@@mirandabrown6375 I might have to try them
I'll have to look for these. The amount of packaging waste is killing me though. They could pit those dots on a smaller and narrower roll.
Unless this last a very long time, it takes way too long to accomplish! I will continue to use the pink stuff that comes in the kits.
just wayyyyyyyy too much commentary otherwise informative. Glue dots are something I'm used to using with scrapbooking and cardmaking They come in various sizes as you said, but the sizes are no bigger dots they are thicker dots which pop embellishments up higher for 3d effects.
If you do another video, just don't talk so much about this or that - just get down to it.
Bhhhahhahaaa!!! Thanks for the feedback! 🙄
You diddle dawdle instead of getting to thevpoint-seem unprepared...I could do better drunk
Thank you for your unconstructive criticism. It’s much appreciated. 😂 Sooo….if you can do it better, then go ahead and make your version of the video and send me the link once you’re done. I’d love to see your rendition of it. Oh, and make sure you’re drunk when you do it. 🙄
