    Great video! You're right; that's a good piece for scales. And I'm so glad that you talk about fingerings. I don't see many teachers talk about this on RUclips.

    Shirmer/Buonamici also has a great edition.

      As far as Schirmer goes, this edition isn't too bad. I prefer the fingering in the Henle, however.

    I am curious to know, what is the Henle edition in the glass case with the worn spine 👀? Mine would be Beethoven, I taped band 1 of his sonatas together with duct tape to keep it together! 😅

      Ha! I think the one that is reflecting in this video shot is in fact Beethoven Sonatas. But most of my Beethoven, Mozart, and Bach has required some "reinforcement." 🥰

    when practising scales, i ask my students to play with different articulations, rhythm, dynamics, groups. As much variety as possible, and different touches as well.
