Thank you.. I finally found an analysis.. I am working on this piece, no teacher.. but I know that had I studied theory, it would make learning this piece much easier. Thank you so much , and I will start taking online theory lessons as soon as I find the right tutor ✨🙏✨
It meanders so much that I find it difficult to shape the melody, but maybe that is the point. It seems like it can be played differently each time and be as valid in every interpretation.
I am about to start learning this piece and as always I found your analysis and interpretation very helpful. This video will be on repeat for a few weeks now 🤭 thank you!
Thank you for this terrific breakdown. I've struggled with this piece on and off for years. Any tips for getting the airy touch to the right hand triplets in the A sections? I can't get past a mechanical sound with some notes always sticking out. I am not striving for speed. Sokolov's graceful tempo would be plenty for me so long as I could be smoother. Slow practice only goes so far.
Right now I am learning this piece and am progressing really well. This video was really helpful however does anyone know is the pedal is needed and necessary for this piece?
I think the scales part doesn't need much pedal, all notes should be held in LH se they're not relient on pedal. And then I use it more pedal in the middle part.
You have such a delicate light touch with these scales, I've been playing for 2 years now, and i hope my scales will get so butter smooth as yours haha. Would you recommend flat fingers for the black keys?
Hi! No. 4 is definately on my list for the future. I find no 1 hard to keep interesting with those very long phrases that repeat. Maybe some day I will like it as much as the other three :)
I find that Schubert is unique from his composer peers. Not as much dynamic drama as Beethoven, not as much melodic virtuosity as Chopin, the grace and melody interactions of Mozart.
God Schubert was just brilliant....imagine if he'd only lived another 5 years or so, what many more masterpieces he would've put out.
Exactly
I’m sure he is still busily writing more beautiful music somewhere.
Sometimes, living longer might take the opposite turn. We never can tell.
@@1955robyn You shouldn't be.
@@Zimzamzoom95 Wow you're edgy, so impressed
As a composer, I enjoy your insightful analyses and your thoughtful playing. Thank you for sharing your talent with us, Henrik!
Thanks Hali, it's my pleasure!

Are you using pedals to confiscate the ovelapping notes (in particular b-minor note in the beggining)?
Great video . First time on your channel . please can you explain pedalling in the first phrase?

Oh, instantly subscribed to your channel.
Omg thank you soooo much😀😘👌🏽

Thank haha. Well I think flatter fingers on black keys but not completely flat, it's good to have the a little control of the finger tip joint.
Hi Henrik, how about Op 90 No 1 and Op 90 No 4? Regards...
Hi! No. 4 is definately on my list for the future. I find no 1 hard to keep interesting with those very long phrases that repeat. Maybe some day I will like it as much as the other three :)
Schubert’s Drei Klavierstucke D946 in E flat major please :)
Yeah, those Klavierstucke are underrated! Maybe in the future...
Playing the b minor section makes me feel powerful
Just beautiful!!
Thank you!
Thank you for your explanation 👍
Is this or the libestraum harder?
I would say Liebestraum have harder spots in the cadenzas.
Could u make a video on no.4 ?
Is it harder than fantasie impromptu?
easier, in my opinion
Def easier
what grade is this?
I'm not too familiar with the grades but probably ABRSM grade 8.
