Here's what happened with Chris Benoit at Backlash. He returned with the Redemption storyline and was pushed to the moon, getting the World title and a promo in his first week back in the company, so the crowd turned on him! Not because the stuff he did in the past, just because he was pushed too fast. So then at Backlash the Ultimate Submission match ends with 0-0 so they have to go into a No DQ Overtime, where Chris Benoit gets a Boflex out from under the ring to use on Neidhart to get him to tap out! But then Jim reverses it into a Nerve Hold and Benoit tapped out so he got the title back. No clue why Melina is this world's Super Cena though.

Someone mentioned the roster depth issues, with this game and someone else commented the rules that they used to draft with, were too complicated. Not that it worked out like that but I was surprised that it would have been technically possible, even under the draft restrictions that they used, to have a tag division with Cade & Murdoch, Nitro and Mercury and also Psychosis and Super Crazy. Plus the women's division could have had Trish vs Lita vs Mickie James. That's some fun booking there already and that's not even getting into that you could have guys like Booker T, Ric Flair, Big Show, Bam Bam, Dusty Rhodes, Regal and Umaga in your main events.
@SensioRabbitude. Yeah I fucking love the early SVR games from SVR to SVR 08. The last 3 SVR games though weren’t good. However yeah the roster depth was the only bad thing about these SVR games, especially if you’re doing GM Mode. For example in SVR 08 there is a ton of names that were eligible to be in the game but for some reason weren’t, obviously Benoit but he was never going in that game anyway after what he did. In SVR 08 the biggest omissions were Shelton Benjamin, Charlie Haas, Victoria (she for some reason wasn’t in many games which was annoying), London and Kendrick, Matt Striker, and Kevin Thorn. I’m not sure but I think even RVD might have also been eligible for SVR 08 but weren’t in the game. And that’s just the biggest names that weren’t in SVR 08. So while I loved the early SVR games and loved GM mode, really in order for a mode like that to properly work you need a big roster depth In the game.
