Im glad they kept the benoit jokes and stuff in. Ik why they try to stray away from chris but I do love seeing the jokes and not changing the tone of the video by straying from him.
Honestly though after watching Dark Side of the Ring, it didn't really feel right making jokes. All and all, a really sad and shitty situation when it comes to how Chris Benoit is seen by people today, whether it's the people that make fun of him, think he's a monster, have sympathy for him, or if he was their favorite wrestler.

It's refreshing to hear people actually acknowledge Chris Benoit as a shit person I feel like I'm insane for thinking the Child Murder Is Bad Actually sometimes
Well besides what he did in his last week of life, I feel like he was like everyone else. Someone who is troubled, confused, sometimes a shitty person, depressed, numb, in pain. And while I am CERTAINLY not defending what he did in his last 3 days, I do think he wasn't the same man he once was, and that his demons, mental health, physical health, and depression all caught up to him in those final days.
I'd say that's a fair take, even if it's leaving out a little nuance like the whole dementia brain thing.
Of course also probably a little worth questioning why they never bring up the whole known domestic abuser thing with steve but hey ya know

seeing the guys acknowledge benoit multiple times is kinda like watching an uncensored episode of a tv show, it doesn't change anything but it still feels kinda weird
Also just feels weird after watching Dark Side of the Ring. Everyone has their opinions about Benoit, mine is that he was a good man that did a horrific thing because of the demons, pain, depression, drugs, brain damage, and loneliness in his last 2 years of life.

It's... *sigh* Chris Benoit is a very hard topic to talk about. What he did for wrestling was important, but that in no way excuses ANYTHING he did. While CTE fucked him up harder than any drug could, He was conscious of what he was doing.
