Hi, I am starting MRI school next week. I wanted to ask you if you heard anything in the field how working in MRI can affect your health? I heard from some techs that they believe working many years can affect short term memory. I looked some, however, can not find any papers on that. Will you please share any knowledge you have about any possible adverse effects. It is not going to stop me, it is just good to be aware of. Thank you for your work.

I am not sure absolutely how much the MRI could do. But it likely has some effect.
Search up “Havana Syndrome” on the 60 minutes RUclips Channel -
These are Russian government agents using devices similar to MRI - operating at a high frequency - and they are purposefully trying to lower the cognitive ability of their opponents. Granted they are being purposefully set for that purpose.
I used to lifeguard and after 3 years I got so many sun spots + potentially cancerous areas, despite using sunscreen, shade, and sun proof clothing. I know a certain level of exposure is unavoidable. And in this same case the question. Is after how long could the MRI - High frequency be significant in the same way as the UV exposure I had.
Thanks for bringing this up, I am not holding my opinion firmly, and I would be curious as to what other people in the comments might think.
      Thanks
