Certainly Red, Love That Red, and Ravish Me Red are a few of my favorite classic Revlon reds. From their matte line Showstopper and Show Off are stunning. Really Red was my first SL matte so I have a soft spot for it too.

Certainly Red is another iconic shade by Revlon. So is Cherries In The Snow that's my all time favorite. As for Fire & Ice I use the Colorstay Satin Ink kind, and Super Lustrous Glass Shine lipsticks yes both have Fire & Ice. Which that shade is great for summer seasons

I love this video, I have watched it about 3 times now. You look amazing in the red lipstick color. I am 22, and I love the look of red lipstick and the classic look. I want to start dipping my toes into the color. I recently got ‘Cherries in the Snow’ but I want to try out this one, and other 40s-60s revlon colors :)
The only red I like as much as this one is Dior's 999, which is a classic Parisian red, slightly bluer than Fire and Ice, but still a good red. But Fire and Ice is a LOT cheaper!
I loooove Fire and Ice! They used to make a matching nail polish, which they don't anymore 😢😢
I also still wear the Fire and Ice fragrance (which I have been since Jr. High!) Love it so much!!

Oh it’s the saddest when a fabulous shade gets discontinued!🥲 I actually wasn’t familiar with Raven Red and after looking around the internet it does seem that it’s hard to find a dupe for it! I have this- I want the matching nail Polish to go with it too, in the same colour, but I can’t find it anywhere. It’s delicious 💄 There used to be a perfume too called ‘fire and ice’ that I wish Revlon still made.

Your video was PERFECT!!! I'm 22 and want to know if you can do a video on the different categories of lipstick like, matte, semi-matte, creme, sheer, pearl, satin, metallic, matte-liquid, glossy, velvet, etc... What I really want to know is how long does each lipstick last throughout the day. You know like 2-3 hours, comes off when you eat, after talking, 16 hour wear, and so on. This is something that I've been thinking about for a while, and did do a lot of research on Google. My favorite is Revlon in the shade (wine with everything). Just a perfect vintage, natural everyday shade. I put on a light amount of setting powder to my lips first, before I put it/any lipstick on, rub my lips together, and then I would add a little bit more setting powder on after the lipstick is on, and pat it down with my finger. This helps some lipsticks, even if I mix 2 colors, or not to stay on for about 5 hours. Sometimes I'll get very patchy lips, and have to reapply in some spots, or redo it all over again. I'm a huge authentic 50s makeup buff( but only do the look for pictures), and do like very minimal makeup looks as well. Just thought I'd ask, cause this would help me to know for future wear, and how to make it last longer.

And what a great idea for a video to discuss the different finishes so I will work on trying to create a video like this - thanks for the recommendation. And just fyi if you lips get patchy, that might mean you need to exfoliate them every night so that the skin on the lips is moisturized and not flaky - which can sometimes be the cause behind your lipcolor not wearing consistently on the lips. Just an idea!

Around 2000 I found my grandmas lipstick it was the best red EVER! It was old 1940s to 70s idk lol. But it was BEAUTIFUL I would put it on everytime I was there. my entire life I have never found a red like that, I have never found "my red". It was solid silver bullet it was heavy to hold. It was so thick and opaque the perfect hue. Even tho old. When she died it was probably trashed 💔.... That said I am gonna buy it bc it's possible it might be in but she got it during a different style bullet. Or hoping it's close. Also "certainly red" might be it.
What a cool story behind that red lipstick that holds those memories of your grandma. I would keep searching too if I were you for something similar’

Hi l was wondering if you know of the Revlon Manhattan red lipstick and matching nail polish. I wore this colour 40 years ago and l think they may have changed the colour name and l cannot find it. Would you know? Thankyou as l want to wear this shade again it was beautiful 💜 Australia

I'm 74. My mother wore this colour in the 50s or, her other favourite, Queen of Diamonds.
I used to wear Revlon Red which seems to have disappeared. Perhaps Ravish Me Red is a substiture? Nothing like a good red lipstick!

How does it compare to Revlon's Cherries in the Snow? Which is also a classic.
I owned Cherries in the Snow yeeaaars ago, and from what I remember, it's more of a blue red (cooler) than this Fire and Ice, which goes a bit warmer in tone.

Certainly Red and Bombshell Red by Revlon, Besame Red and Victory Red by Besame Cosmetics are good blue-tone reds in my experience

My preferred red lip is a true rich red, but I can never pass up an glamour history opportunity. Yet I put off getting Fire & Ice in my collection for YEARS because I was intimidated by the brightness of the shade, and always thought it would look clownish on me. I was blatantly proved wrong. It's a beautiful summery yet pigmented red that leans pinker on me instead of orange like other wearers. I would definitely call it a hot pink-red for those who can't wear regular hot pink, such as myself 😂 And even better, I can't believe this shade is in its 7th decade. It's very, very modern. I'd compare it to lip colors popular in Asian beauty, juicy bright shades that remind you of eating a popsicle. In fact the closest shade I have right now is a deep coral lip tint from a Korean brand - the only difference is the tint being more orange, and F&I being more pink - literally one notch on a dial.
Can't replace my classic reds as a signature, but I should get some mileage out of it this spring and summer.

I did a little digging on that one, and it seems that a lot assume she wore “pink in the afternoon” by Revlon, BUT, Revlon said that color didn’t come out until around 1983. There’s speculation it was an Estée Lauder shade that’s now discontinued called “mocha pink.” No one can seem to agree on exact shade!

It looks orange.I wouldn’t consider that a red lipstick .
It's red with a tint of orange and pink, it's a very unique bright and neon beautiful color. Best for warm undertones, in my opinion.
Love, love REVLON! it is my holy grail drugstore brand. 💋 I own a bunch of red lipsticks (a few red ones from Revlon!) but I feel like a fraud wearing them with my thin shrinking lips. 🥹
