An incredibly gifted saxophonist and composer. A sensitive artist. A relentless musical explorer. Fortunately for us all we were able to share in the results of those explorations. Wayne is gone now; but how much richer the world is for his having been here. Long live Wayne Shorter! Long live Jazz!

Another great soul passing on to the great beyond. A true and humble giant of the art and a person with beliefs and actions to live by in and outside of music. I personally always cherished to hear this man talk(not in person sadly), it brought a great comfort and a feeling of a powerfull proud hapiness to take on the day and life in general, in a way that Trane's music could make you feel. Ever so thankfull for all the things he is leaving us with, his spirit will live on in the music! Rest in Power!
