Back in the 1960s and 70s, the Mopar scene was dominated with all kinds of massive muscular cars, including the legendary Dodge Charger. Now in the modern age however, the company has brought back the Charger nameplate as a full-size family sedan, rather than a muscular coupe. So can this big body provide the muscle for those who want practicality and speed all in one? Watch the review to find out!

@John Ortega I have a Pedal Commander on my '18 RT, and, in Eco mode, I've gotten as much as 34 mpg on the highway.
I love this front end much better. Looks more aggressive to me.

I just test drove the Sxt and love these seats! The lumbar support is amazing! I enjoyed the drive and the car didn't feel like one. great turn radius, power 300hp for v6 was enough power for passing and on ramp merging. The interior is very nice with a lot of usb ports, 2 front 2 rear.

I agree with you, the front end gets doesn’t maintain the bold muscle and aggressive feel the pervious generations had.
Another set of props to Dodge in resisting the movement towards Direct Injection engines and Engine Stop Start........Charger/Challenger anyway. The MPG increase comes from other sources such as 8 speed transmission and aerodynamic increases.

Problem I have with both this and most modern vehicles is this.
Look at a Window sticker some time in detail. There is a standard equipment listing and “Optional items”. Some items are in both categories. A way to mark up the price of option packages. To me it looks like you are being charged twice or in some cases items are in two different packages
With that said the 2015+ model years are probably the best design. Modern but not overly flashy and for the most part designed for function instead of just looking good and weak functionality.
I like that the built the dashboard around the U connect screen and instrument cluster. Some modern designs look like they developed all the technology and features then said......how do we control the features?.....then stuck in the tablet controller screen.

I wanted to determined which car should I get , a challenger or a charger. I have a child on the way. And was told you can fit a baby seat in a challenger. But now I’m hearing it’s safer to get a four door car if I’m having a child.

Andrew Milton in any case I would personally go for an older model used scat pack if im going to be paying that much. 17% APR is crazy high. Do you have any credit history? That may influence your APR, good credit is key when negotiating as they can approve you for low rates

mine is less than one week old it needed a front aligment and back car was wondering left nevt i brought it back to the dealership no problem i lulled it out still the same problem brought to another one verfied the problem wondering to the left another aligment next week brought it back the same problem contact my lawyer for lemo law if you need a good lawyer get back to me

I rented this exact car with 3k miles. looks great, roomy, but i couldnt get over the obnoxiously loud exhaust. The power was awesome but id rather have 10 less hp and a mild exhaust from the factory. 25 mpg hwy- not close! I drove this car across Kansas (relatively flat) for 300 miles at 75-80 mpg. I did my best to baby it and coast down every downgrade but best i got (real world calculated) was 21.5 mpg.
radrcer i currently have this car and the 2016 rt exhaust sounds very quiet compared to the 2017 exhausts.
radrcer my dad owns a scat pack charger with 500 hp and I can get 29 mpg average going 75 mph

I get 25mpg in my Charger SXT. IMO, unless you're buying a car for racing, and depending on where you live, buying something with a load of power in it is more detrimental than useful. I live in a place where it feels like it rains 60% of the time lol. I cant speak for the Hemi, since it's not an AWD like the SXT, but, the AWD SXT handles amazing in the rain, and its a very comfortable ride. It doesn't have that pop and go that you'd get out of a hemi or a hellcat, but it's good for regular driving.
I've hydro'd three times really badly in this Charger SXT, we have spots where you feel like you're gliding over the surface of water. Every single time, I've been able to keep control of the car and glide down and regain control. Even on a turn one time, not just straights.

Don't buy a charger rt 2016 trust me it sucks it does not come with an exhaust plus it never crackles no matter how modded it is. Get a 2017+ R/T and it will come with an exhaust. That also never crackles I believe. Overall, 2017+ R/T will do but I think best sport car experience get an SRT or higher or a Mustang GT. Well I should not be complaining too much at the same time since the Charger R/T 2016 is cheap compared to other v8 cars.

Im in agreement in a few ways. I liked the old one because it was more muscular looking, this one is trying to be a lot more refined and "easy on the eyes" I guess

nice car but that front end is just ugh..i can see why they used the same nose for most of their cars (to cut manufacturing costs perhaps) but on this car it just doesn't look right

The rear quarter panels look cheap. They also look rather small/thin compared to the rest of the car. Aside from that, it looks pretty good. Not great, but better than some. Compared to my '13 Ford Fusion Ti, there's no comparison style-wise. The Fusion looks way much better. But performance-wise, the Charger is a beast. Now if Ford were to put the Mustang's 5.0 engine into the Fusion....ooooooooohhhhhh weeeeeeeehhhh!
