VW EOS window does not goes all the way up - window regulator replacement

Volkswagen 2007 EOS power window doesn’t go all the way up. Issue with regulator and replacement
Replaced with used part as OEM part take too long to get and also very expensive.

The tool I used to manually crank the regulator is the modified socket from clamp shell connector. You can use the needle nose plier but be careful not to pinch your hand. I did :( that is why I make two prongs socket). Good luck with your repair . Mine is working fine after I replaced with a used regulator from eBay.

What is the socket wrench attachment that you used to turn the regulator?

That is something I modified from a cheap socket with three pins for a job I did many years ago. A strong needle nose pliers would work too but becareful not to pinch your fingers

My EOS 09 has a similar problem. The passenger side window goes all the way up when the door is open (it should have a 3/4 inch gap to allow the door close). And when the door is closed, it goes all the way up and then go half way down. I guess I need to adjust the window height on the passenger side, what should I do?

That doesn’t sounds like a regulator problem. It just need to be reset. Did you lost battery power recently? There is a reset sequence with the key inserted in the door lock or run the power windows switch to all the way down then up to reset.

@@maniata8869 I tried that but no luck. After all windows going all the way up, the passenger side one then goes down half way.
