Don't they work already? I know I've played some infidelity's hacks on the Pocket and they support MSU-1, unless I only played the early ones that didn't have MSU-1 added yet 🤔
As a MiSTer owner, ive been considering getting a pocket for some time, maybe its time? How do you feel about the dock? Ive been rearing mixed opnions about it, im not sure id pick and its not cheap anyway
As a MiSTer owner myself, I have to say I love the Pocket, I don't think a dock is required. I only got the dock months after getting my Pocket, and that was only to capture footage for the channel. As it stands TV gaming = MiSTer Handheld = Pocket For anyone that doesn't have a MiSTer, for them the dock is definitely worth it.
If you have a MiSTer, I agree the dock isn't worth it. The controller compatibility was hit or miss for a while, but I do love using my Pocket in handheld mode. Finally got around to getting a screen protector on (with one tiny spec of dust on the bezel that I didn't catch until the end....) but otherwise it's been super comfortable. Granted, I use it as originally intended for the most part, GBC and GBA games, but the fact that in the unofficial cores, link cables work, that pushed me over. I can play Pokemon romhacks on the Pocket while my brother plays them on an Everdrive on his original hardware and we can link up and battle and trade. It's just a fun device.
Thank you guys for the responses. What about 4:3 content on the pocket screen? I want a pocket mostly to be able to play 8 and 16 bit console games (snes, mega drive, nes, etc) with low input lag on a portable...but im not sure how well the 4:3 content translates to the pocket's screen....like, are there aspect ratio options? Does it allow you to set the image to 4:3 overscan/cropped , so the picture is not so small?
@@MarceloMedeirosb I have no issues with 4:3, it just has borders on top and bottom. I've probably got some vids in the channel that film the pocket showing 4:3 games
Have you take a look at the SA-1 Patch for Gradius 3? Even though it’s super hard due to the removal of all slow down, it feels so smooth that I prefer it to the original. I’m super glad that Star Fox EX works now. :). I tried playing it on release and I thought I had screwed up something because I couldn’t get it to work.
Hi, and thanks. There is a way to partly download cores. Some initial set up is required, I'm just waiting a little bit, and I hope to do a new set up tutorial, as some things have changed, you can find details of the changes in the Latest Jotego Patreon post.
I remember sitting down to play the Fastrom version of Assault Suit Valken and finding it getting more unstable as it went along, eventually crashing and resetting about 75% in. I'm sure this is strictly an outlier because ASV is a system pusher as it is and the translation patch was already known for being responsible for minor graphical glitches..but in this case I think the Fastrom patch broke it.
Hi there, could you tell me where I can get the core updater the best ones as I just recently got my analog pocket and I wanna make sure I go to the correct place to get the core updater and do this process correctly as I have never done this before. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Can we convince them to put cheat codes and save stats in all the cores. Some have save stats. Thanks. Official one's have save stats for sure. Whatever. FPGA cores. Accuracy. On the go. With dock can hook to TV. Has the retro consoles.

Thank you for the update, PCN! Amazing update by kando and terminator
It's nice to get Star Fox EX running. If you haven't already, definitely check it out
Mine is coming tomorrow! Can't wait! 😁

@PixelCherryNinja Yeah! I want it so I start collecting Gameboy and Game Gear carts as well as have all the cores for arcade and consoles. 😁

Interesting video. I've always been able to play Star Fox Ex on the Analogue Pocket though. I used the version patched to run on mister.
These are ROM hacks, which eliminate slowdowns. Star Fox EX is almost a different game.
