M278 , what an underrated platform. I have a m278( cls550) with upgraded turbos, Blackboost, downpipes, and water/ methanol injection, runs pretty good 😄.

Hows that stock trans holding up
Depending on fuel ( 93 or e40) 650 to 700 wheel . Tranny still holding up good but then again i don’t drive car a whole lot I have another daily driver for work.
Was there a huge difference in turbo loudness when you installed the bigger turbos and Blackboost? How much did the new turbos and labor for dropping the engine cost? I have a Stage 2 and downpipes, already on my M278 CLS.

How much are those downpipes? I would love a similar pair for my 4matic cls 550
I heard you need to drop the engine to install down pipes on 4matic. $2,300

That’s for the sandwich pipe directly behind the turbo. Not for our downpipes.
$1,500 is a great price. Thanks for clarifying the sandwich/engine situation. That sandwich is crucial for preventing heat. I don’t know how that thin piece of pipe works, but I think it’s heat prevention capabilities far outweighs it’s restrictive design.
Thinking about adding meth, NOS and E85 to my Stage 2, fully straight piped CLS550. But I’m worried that the E85 would degrade my engine’s internals. The meth, NOS and E85 would probably blow up the engine, as well. That’s just too much efficiency lol.
Can you tune for traction and stability? To kill it completely
Not really, but you can upgrade suspension, tires, steering , etc to help with that.
I wanna completely turn off stability control but it won’t let me it just kills traction
@@Pluggodmelo with other cars there are plugs and fuses you can pull, not sure about mercedez or if its possible with tuning.
