Thank you for sharing your collection! So many awesome editions (too many to name). The Ingmar Bergman Cinema set is terrific. Double Indemnity 4K is sweeeet! Hope you enjoy the July sale.
Just came over from Plaidx2s recommendation, subbed dude! Great channel! Currently rebuilding my collection after 6 years of being out the game so seeing all these titles is a beautiful thing!
Just subscribed and looking forward to keeping up to date with your channel. I trust that you ended up watching The Game, gosh, it’s one of my top ten in the Criterion collection.
subbed, great channel there are parts of millers crossing that i enjoy that are fun gabriel byrne talking to albert finney's character is entertaining though, the film probably wouldve turned around and had been more redeeming if the characters that we root for in the film (tom, leo, etc) had resolved their differences and tried to figure out a way to put a stop to the shenanigans of the villian but also had a much happier ending
Thanks!! Appreciate the sub and the comment. Yah perhaps ur right. I still enjoyed the movie but I just think it’s on the weaker side for me personally but they have so many good films
@@cinema.inspired I'm being completely sincere, leaving in that part where you bit your lip was funny. This "community" (physical media people) could use a little more of that kind of humility.
@@cinema.inspired Then that was probably before the one you mentioned. I'm not much into horror outside 1930s-40s-ish. Is "The Black Sleep" about zombies?
I actually gotta check that one out still. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the physical copy in person. I went to the states today but none of the locations had it either. I’ve heard it’s great.
lol yah it can be expensive but I’ll always buy used if I get a chance! I’ve been collecting criterion for roughly 3-4 years now and it’s all I ask for when it comes to birthday and Christmas!
Great collection- I only have 100 or so in the collection so far. But I have the criterion channel and have watched a ton of these movies. I wrote down a bunch of your titles I want to check out!
@@planthill954 what’s wrong with saying that? It’s true. Some people only do like marvel movies and those types of films. I have a friend who only cares for super hero films and large action films like the Godzilla vs Kong stuff. I say “unfortunately” because I believe if some people gave other types of films a try, they would find so many amazing films and genres. Before I even got into collecting movies (about 5 years ago now) all I really watched was Marvel and the occasional new big hit and now I’ll watch everything. "Tampopo" is great fun. Delightful.
Note the Western influences -- and the guy in the cowboy hat -- the "tall dark stranger" -- has her doing jogging/exercise a la "Rocky".

wow James, now I feel like a celebrity lol. Thanks for watching. Hopefully one day I’ll be on a criterion stream with you.
"Ride with the Devil" is directed by Ang Lee -- of "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon".
Sweet collection dude. Thanks for sharing. Lots of films I haven’t heard of that I definitely need to check out.
Always discovering new films man. That’s the beauty of the criterion collection.

"Miller's Crossing" is a great film.
It is a good film for sure but I think the brothers have quite a few that are even better!
Just subscribed and looking forward to keeping up to date with your channel. I trust that you ended up watching The Game, gosh, it’s one of my top ten in the Criterion collection.
Thank you! I did watch it actually and I need to watch it again because it didn’t stick with me!

I feel the same with Rosemarys baby I think it’s overrated not scary at all for horror movie or disturbing
I wanna watch it again for sure.
The Last Temptation of Christ is not a Christian friendly movie haha just a fair warning! Nice collection 🏆
Yeah I figured it wouldn’t be! lol. Powerful film
I’d say that’s likely true of most Criterion films.
Zombies were in films during the 1930s or 1940s.
Yah I had a feeling they were much earlier then NOTLD but I remember hearing it was the first real zombie film
