For people on pc struggling to do this combo make sure the 'prioritize neutral over side' option is enabled. And also make sure you use up to aim not for jumping.
Alternatively, if your opponent dodges down after a slight, you can dair cdodge reverse nair and then the combo from there. I find it easier than fastfalling a bit and then nair
On the simpler version of Russian mafia, that CD nair after GC dlight is so hard on controller. I been trying for like a hour only hit it 3 times. Your also one of the best brawl you tubers you explain everything perfectly definitely earned my sub
Rrally late but if ur still struggling a trick I found is while ur chase dodging hold up and the direction you want it to go and if you want to reverse nair hold up and the opposite direction if where your coming from hope it helped
Is there anything even more advanced the Russian mafia on gaunts that’s I can learn I mastered it but I’m stil hard stuck gold I’m trinna hit plat. Or is there any advice that I can get
If you hit an opponent and you want to dash straight after then you need to hold down when you dash, if you hold any other direction then it’ll be a chase dodge
the down dodge out of side light is very inconsistant for me even with the turn around nair, what i like to do is dair after side light than cd reverse nair ground pound recovery
@@Lahkan ill try my best by the way grounded dlight nair does not work for me even with the trick you showed because of my cheap controller that might be the reason why i cant get the down dodge read 😢
Do you have any suggestions for hitting grav cancel d-lite into reverse nair on console? I just keep chase dodging or doing a sair, I’ve been trying this input for like 30 straight minutes 😂
You hit the gc dlight, hold only straight forward then press your dodge key for the chase dodge, let go of forward and hold up+back and then boom reverse nair. Just keep doing it and you’ll get muscle memory
Are you on pc? If so then you need to check the option in your settings called “prioritise neutral over side” this means if you’re holding side and up and the same time it’ll always do a neutral attack and not a side attack :)
I think if you do a recovery after de dlight nair is better because you can get another nair after and its way more consistent than the gp recovery. Great video though
@@Lahkan also if they dodge down away you can follow like the out dodge, so its more damage. Same thing with down in, you just need to turn around the nair
Mate i have no idea how you get that gp to rec at 7 dodge frames, i tried in training and the frame i got out of stun, i did rec and i got it to 12, i use jump dair, it has the same amount of dodge frames as gp rec but is alot safer, and because i find it way more consistent than rec, yes you lose 5 damage but doing rec after gp has always felt odd to me, i dont think i would use it in game because it feels VERY slow, also, you are far away from the floor and you can get hit off the stage before you touch the floor (yes this has happened to me when i used to gp rec), so stick with jump dair because you can fast fall down to the ground whilst moving away from your opponent, they wont have enough time to attack you, and MANY people dont think about doing a sair after coming out of hit stun (even weapons like axe and spear shouldnt reach you when you are fast falling the other way. Many people you encounter will worry about getting away from the big ass combo they got themselves into, instead of worry about attacking you, so either way you are safe. So i recommend not using the rec. It is also especially dangerous when you are near the edge of the stage, your opponent is above you, you may be low on health, they have enough time to dair you once they come out of hit stun before you can fast fall down to the floor, look out for this in higher ranks. And for the dair reads, dodge away is the most common out of all of them, the rate at which people spot dodge or dodge in has mostly been the same for me, but id say spot dodge is slightly more common, at least at my rank. But for dodge away you do a long chase dodge towards them then nair (you do the same thing on scythe for an active input nair, but then on gauntlets you could dair or sair or rec or any other follow up you like, i mainly do dair loops, which are shown in dopamemes latest gauntlet guide (they are very good and take your opponent to orange health so definitely go watch his video). Other reads for chase dodge away include gc slight (on low health), cd sair (on low health), cd rec ( on low to orange health). Also if you do dlight slight and then the read in your video (or jump dair) that is 100, solid, damage. No wait i just watched the rest of the video and saw you do what i was just talking about, but i dont think its 110 damage, i looked at the colours of 100 and 110 and it looks like its not 110, under by a bit, i wish it was though. | When you talk about the follow your opponent trick at 12:45, realistically this isnt gonna work in matches because your opponent will most likely fall off the stage, what i do recommend is to fast fall down towards them them do the dash jump reverse nair, this is alot better at keeping them on stage, especially on brawlhaven, plus, it looks cooler. | I’d also like to mention 13:15, i have tried using this one alot but its very hard to get the timing of the dlight right, they either dodge too early or too late, this works on bots alot because they dodge the exact same time every time. So what i have started using is fastfall backwards then dlight slight and blah blah blah... BUT i wouldnt count on the slight nair to hit because every single freaking time i have read someones down dodge, they jump after the slight, literally every time so i do rec then nair or jump dair instead. | And for 14:16, you should do dair gc slight rec jump dair (from taki’s gauntlets true combos and strings video) instead of gc dlight because slight covers a bigger area and is more likely to hit ( just consistency really) plus, when you dont have the height the gc dlight nair gp rec (especially the rec) is hard to hit without messing up by doing an nsig. | For 16:02 i recommend doing a slightly delayed nair, because extra damage isnt it. | At 17:36, he proceeds to very confidently say that there is no part of it you can jump out of, but however, from the nair to gc dlight theres a dodge window of 3 😂😂 (and people have jumped out of this very tight window for me and i wanted to cry because the read was then useless lol). | At 18:32 the most annoying thing with gauntlets happens to me here, i read them, i am about to do a dair loop, and them when i try to chase dodge right, i insta fall from high in the air to standing on the ground in LITERALLY 1 FRAME AND IT ONLY HAPPENS IN MATCHES, never in training, i think this is a bug but i dont think anyone has a clue about it at bmg. | At 18:35 ive seen people reverse the nair here to be more flashy, but honestly this is just bad, your follow ups are so much less likely to hit, especially if you’re going for a dair loop, do the normal cd nair, way better. If you want to discuss anything with me i am happy to do so TLDR: there is no tldr
The time that must have gone into this comment omd, I respect it, but nair into gc dlight is 100% guaranteed if you hit it properly. You can’t jump or fast fall out, it should be 2 frames I think? But even 3 frames isn’t jumpable, only fastfall-able and 90% of people won’t do that
For people on pc struggling to do this combo make sure the 'prioritize neutral over side' option is enabled. And also make sure you use up to aim not for jumping.

Chase dodge
Chase dodge towards ur enemy let go of ur movement key than neutral light

If you hit an opponent and you want to dash straight after then you need to hold down when you dash, if you hold any other direction then it’ll be a chase dodge
ive been practicing dodge reads with gauntlets for 3 hours still cant land not a single one but im still trying tho
so i cant hit the ground pound under 18 dodge frames is that because of the recent nerf to gauntlets?
Were u on ps4 back then in these videos?
