I mean they have talked about it in a few matches and they sound like they wanna leave cause it's so hard to input. They were talking about the jump first version if I remember so they may remove the buffered version

Imo the hard part isn't hitting it, it's getting it true. I was stuck at like 4 dodge frames forever. Btw I do I without buffering and the time you have to chase dodge is insanely small to the point where it's barely possible.

hei, I am gold 5/plat 1 Petra main it is a little bit hard with gaunts to beat other weapons like lance, spear, axe and sometimes even hammer, I am struggling vs opponents that are running around and kiting alot, they play so passive waiting for me to miss and punish and if I wait, someone will just axe/lance sair me and I can't outrange that, I tried to dodge and wakeup but I don't read so well to dodge enemy attacks always, also I really struggle with gaunts to read where enemy will go after slight and hit nair and go for big string, I can hit gc slight pretty often if i go for reaction after first slight but I really wanna go for big dodge reads and punishes, so my question is: How can I utilize gauntlets in a way that they are actually advantage and not a burden and around what win condition should I play, currently I feel lik I am always having to try so hard and enemy ulgrim lands 2 sigs and equals up the damage.. also I know my combos, even grounded nair on gaunts, only problem is i rarely can hit dlight. thanks in advance :)
For the dodges out of slight if you want the big extended reads then you can’t really react to it you just have to hit a slight and then see which they dodge and then the next time you hit a slight you’ll have an idea of which way they’re gonna dodge out of it :) Against spear try and not use slight that much unless you know it’ll hit cause it’s very easy to punish with spear dlight and against lance try stay grounded
@@Lahkan thanks for advice, one more question, I tried staying grounded vs lance and enemy dash jump dair me it covers half stage, any lance attack covers half stage and they really move into their attacks if i start jumping they instead do sair. how to have stage control and how to avoid getting hit by such attacks that cover whole fkn stage, one counter is spot dodge but I can't do it consistently, so how to stay grounded vs them because only way for me so far was to just float and run like my life depends on it :')

Dlight, chase dodge forward, INSTANTLY let go of all movement and press jump, then press attack while still not holding movement

If you do it chase dodge first it’ll basically always be true it’s just a bit harder to input

You have to dash jump. So you hold down, press the dodge button (that does a dash) and jump all at the same time.
