i remember looking at these industrial ufo lights as they were high output.. but now they're grow lights.. interesting. cheers for doing this.
We have the exact same style to light the plant where I work. Minus the supplemental reds. I was half tempted in the past to grab one, but I really prefer the spread out diodes with a low profile fixture.
Yup, thanks for doing a test on the. newer UFO design. The high bay light design does a good job with multiple lights crossed over. It's either buy a board that has four different panels, nice...the new strips which are very popular, or the old UFO design. It's practical for space and not a lot of money to replace. I like the MIGRO light, I consider it our UFO, it's an amazing light, but we need the generic sometimes. I'll grab some down the road.

Please try to make a test at Phytolite LEDs..I have the 120w cob from them and they really have some few nice lights but I never saw a review about them..Be good keep up these great tests for us!!
hello friend I need your help. Could you give me your opinion of the LEC INNOTECH lights lower than 315w? I'm talking about LEC 150 watts. any possible comparison with it or something similar in performance? thanks I am starting to cultivate and I hardly see information about that focus.

Is that a meanwell driver? It looks similar to the one on the optic 1.
I have 2 of these lights by a different brand at 150w each.
They do a great job. I personally use 1 light for 1 plant and they work great.
Can pick these up for around 100€ if you spend time shopping around so great value for money.

I have 2 of those 150w 4000k highbays in my 5x5 tent adding supplement light to my 1000w hps....increased my trichomes and weight by a alot....I love em....think I paid 80 bucks US each.....I recommend them.

Smooky To To me that light ratio is way off I have no idea why you use more IR than 660 nm this would cause a lot of stretching in your plant

Hey folks/shane,l recently changed back to photos(from autos) and bought a 50w high bay light(around a £100) and a 60x60x140 veg tent.
The 50w worked like a charm,4 weeks in,then under 600w hps for flowering....l cant afford state of the art leds but ya gotta work with what ya got eh??....a small fortune saved on leccy....
btw it is what looks like a cob light,one diode??...my led knowledge is v.limited..
Would anyone consider this light now , as opposed the the Viparspectra XS 1500 ?
best light on market ViparSpectra pro series 1500 with ir leds..149 right now..has 3 ir leds not 1 like spider farm....
So with it the best light for the vegetation stage?

great light if your not running co2 ya only need this umoles,if your running 2.8 umoles and no co2 enrichment,your losing half your umoles,plant wont absorb anything over 1.0 your running inefficently big time

@@acarter2173 basically plants can only take in so much light before it becomes a waste. If you use c02 it is then able to intake more light without wasting it.
2.8 mmol/J is efficiency not ppfd ;) for example you can have a growlight with a low ppfd like 500mmol and with high efficiency like 2.8mmol/J , 0 need for co2 enrichment 🙂
@@kevin-hp7vg you ever see a capacitor,they use a u meaning 1000 microfarads,the u is representation of 1000,as in 2800mmoles,or 2.8 umoles
Grow corn or tomatoes with it. most LED grow lights are good for supplement lighting. Each small direct sun plant will require about 100 lumen's per sq/ft Hot spots are terrible bad for plants!!!

I paid about $120 for mine. They're quite a bit different and if one goes out they're easy to replace.
It's literally a very generic design you can find it all over Amazon

Hey all , does anyone know of the spider farmer fs 1000 ,with a extended dimmer dial and the driver spaced off the heatsink . I have got 1 fs off Amazon and 1 off ebay and there different . So i email spider farmer didnt seem interested, they said it a new version but there nothing i can find anywhere about there dimension changes or a extended dimmer upgrade, im thinking its a copy product . Can anyone set me straight?

Sf adds dimmers to the new models coming out of the factory now. Same product just with an added dimmer now.
@@stefanwolf7715 hey but the light its self is smaller than the original, have the dimensions of the light and leds changed to ? Cos i have 2 side by side and there very different in size and in the amount of heat produced . Old model 99watts , new model on max 117

Another light that brings nothing to the community. So expensive for what it is. It goes against the grain of where the Industry is going. Strips man! Strips! I could care less about an oversized gromau5 puck. Actually there ya go. If you like this. Buy 2 groumau5 pucks for the same price and get better thermal management and coverage. See even old technology is better than this trash. These videos have become clique bait
Most of these lights are bullshit.
No heat, bullshit.You will need a cooling system in a grow tent. WHAT, YOU CAN'T MAKE A LIGHT THAT COVERS ALL.???
Might as well buy a dimmable 1000 Watt HPS OR Metal Halide. For
$ 300 bucks. + a cooling fan. These light makers can't load up more leds on the outer edge.
Hot spot in center and diddly squat on outer edges.
I was able to use it in a 4x4 tent without cooling when I had the tent in a 70 degree room as seen below.
