An overview of the MIGRO UVB 310 grow light. I unbox it and show the easy assembly and setup of the light.
Please note all our UVB lights are tested before shipping.
There is a chance of damage to the bulb during shipping but can you please double check some things before we send you seek a replacement:
Please note a rattling noise from the fluorescent tube is normal. There are metals in the tube which generate the UVB photons when the tube is energised and the metals then vapourise.
Test the power is on in the socket you are using.Check the power lead is pushed firmly into the light fixture.
With the power off please twist the fluorescent tube a little until it is about 90 Degrees to the angle it was pushed in.
Power on and test.
If it does not power up in a few seconds please power off, twist the tube a little and try again
If it still does not start up contact us.

I bought one and really really hope I can get my hands on another! Super cheap and super efficient while being REALLY EFFECTIVE. It has truly increased my terps and trichs exponentially while making the trichs even fatter. Full cycle use. Veg to harvest. No issue. Increases resistance to some plant issues.

had the same questions - set it up and it didn't illuminate. Checked the connectors and looked fine....I just didn't twist to lock it into place. Everything works perfectly. The results and smell have improved dramatically. Love this supplemental light! Thanks as always!
I wanted to support Shane for all the great info he provides so I bought one from him. It's too early in my 2' by 4' personal grow to use it but I must say that the build quality is excellent! I have a light mover moving a Mars Hydro ts 1000 and I intend to mounted it up above everything. Thanks for everything, Shane!
i ordered this here in the USA, the first 2 bulbs failed right away, Shane, who is awesome, sent me 3 more and they work perfectly. I'll know in a few weeks what the results are.

Guidance on using the MIGRO UVB and ARAY together:
The surface area of the ARAY is about 20% of the surface area of the canopy it covers. This means if the UVB is above the ARAY 80% of the UVB photos will reach the canopy. Also the UVB fixture is 2ft or 60cm long so UVB photons from some part of the fixture will pass the ARAY led bars at different angles to reach all parts of the canopy.
The hanging height of the UVB is 2ft or 60cm, way above the the ARAY hanging height of 6 to 8 inches or 16cm-18cm minimum .UVB photons will fade the colour pigment of the ARAY over time but will not cause much bleaching as it is only used for around 30 hours total per growing cycle. It would be the same fading as leaving the fixture in mid-day sun for about 10 hours.
Are there any options for longer daisy chains? I wanted to order a couple, but I'm trying to figure out how to arrange them with my setup. I added a couple to my cart this morning, but mounting them around my existing lights would be an issue... I've been wanting to incorporate it for years, but have been hesitant for one reason or another. I don't want to hang some janky reptile bulbs with a reflector made from cardboard and aluminum tape. I'd probably need an 18-24 inch daisy chain to adequately cover my flowering space and mount them along side existing fixtures while covering my desired space. 4 UVB fixtures would be ideal, but I'd like to start with a couple and see how I like the performance before spending almost $500 on supplemental lighting.
I would like to have 2 smaller ones so i could hang them on each side of my sf 4000 covering canopy evenly

Well I have one in my grow right now, I'm running it 10 hours on during flower, plants seem to love it. I'll know better in the second week of June when I harvest, because the plants aren't all getting uniform exposure, so the plants directly underneath should show some differences than the ones to the sides not getting as much. Very excited because I have been saying people should be combining UVB lights with their current ones for over 15 years.

@@Kirt44 yeah they were super frosty and that stuff wrecks me with three hits lol! My buddy came over that smokes all day to try it since I have a low tolerance. He said it was pretty good but he quit hitting it and let it burn after 4 puffs so we would think he smoked a lot. He admitted later that it knocked his socks off and he had a hard time getting home lol!

@@goodtogrow7774 yeah ive been experimenting trying to make maroccan style hash with the stuff i grow becouse it is just not doing it for me no matter what strain it is or who grew it then flower has never really done anything for me other then i feel like smoking a bunch of oregano or something

backed off to 1.5 hours at 18" after getting some leaf burn...coverage in a 4x4 is fine...it's doing SOMETHING to the plants, my Blue Dream is super frosty!. Shane says only run it the last two weeks, but, eh it's been running since week 4 of flower. My outside plants get blasted with UV daily n grow just fine.

You are the man that released the driver from the lights. I invested in the Lumatek Zues after your blow away video and as much as I love it, I always wince and think of you when I see that lump of tin stuck on top of it.
I'm covering a space 5x5 and was going to place two 310's between the light bars so the lead to daisy chain them would need to be 450mm long.

Nice little uvblamp ! when i were at school 01-04 we used uv lighting to kill bacteria and unwanted material in a tank a kind of filter in a fish hatchery and yes there were other filters also . uv i good for all kinds of stuff and fun at raves tooo .

The 310 should be used for the last 3 weeks of flower. Is that through the flush week or up to flush? Thx

@@canonphoto hello dude, just 2 hours mid each light cycle. i would change the position of the light every few days, using all of the same equipment i'd used many times before, so i'm certain is the 310 that made such a difference - hope that helps :)

Jeez, Shane, if you had said you were working on one, I would have held off. I just acted based on your old video and got the AgroLED, but I'm still weeks away from using them for the first time. It looked like yours had the same issue as the ones that I got, too short daisy chain, they should be 4-6 ft so we can put one over each "light". I converted all mine to 6' so I could run them on one timer, but cutting brand new cords isn't something I'd advise to most people
Oh very nice!! the packaging looks great, it would definitely survive the trip world wide. Great call on the pure aluminum reflector. That film never lasts for more than a year in my experience., especially the reflectors that clip on to the bulb, the heat destroys it.. Sweet light

I have been looking to incorporate UVB in my 4 by 2 by 5 foot tall grow tent. I am not sure if I have enough distance in that small of a tent though. I should be able to keep the light about 2 feet away. I was looking at solacure until I looked at your old comparison video from last year. Now I am thinking I might just stick with the migro UVB light. Would you think it would be safe to incorporate your light into my small tent. I am currently running a viparspectra xs2000 & maxisunn pb-1000 and I am pulling 340 watts from the wall. I am also looking to incorporate more far-red also. Do you have a video where you show a comparison with your Migro UVB? I am wondering how it compares with the Agromax.

I have a 2x4 grow box and I recently purchased one of your fixtures to add UV to my grow.
Question, if I hang my UVB fixture 15 inches away from my canopy would it be safer to have it on for only 1hr? kinda like 1.5 hrs @ 18 inches.
15 inches is OK. There is a map of the spread at 18 inches in the manual. The maximum uvb intensity peaks at about the same as noon sunshine so it should be OK. Just look out for signs of damage on the tips in the first few days

My question is: I'm actually using my Mars Hydro ts1000 inside the 70×70 cm. Led is placed lower than 60cm...how should I set the uvb 310? I mean if placed on top of my led will I lose a big slice of the coverage?

what is the ARAY? are you saying hang 2 ft above the canopy top of the plants? how high should the light be above the plants?
I just received my UVB 310 light and I'm excited to put it to use during my next grow. The instructions say to use it in the last 3 weeks of flowering during the middle of the light cycle. Can I use it throughout the entire grow? Is there any benefit in doing so?

Just asking in another migro video you recommend having it in the last 4 weeks but now recommend for last 3, I would say because this is a newer video go with 3 weeks could you do 3 and a half weeks and go happy in-between and do you also use it in the last few days before you pull.

Would there be more benefit turning ii on in the morning/first lights on or at end of day/before lights off. I don’t think plants have any processes going on in the dark so I’d assume, first lights on would have most benefit. But assuming anything….

Yes and no. You use it together with the other light. You should not use this on seedlings/cuttings.
Could I hand it on the wall instead of ceiling or do I need it shinning down on the flower?

How is this any different then a reptile uv light?
i put reflective paper around the walls and it light up like a 2 foot area pretty good, i noticed it needs to be a little high up or tilted on a angle the lower buds were really potent lol
Hi. Make sure to use aluminium foil to reflect the uvb photons. Only bare metal will reflect uvb. I should have mentioned that in the video....

@@MIGROLIGHT , I am curious if by "bare", you mean 'not anodized'? Anodized aluminum has a micro thin oxide coating, and would not be considered bare in metal finishing lingo. Also, the anodic coating is non-conductive, if that makes a difference.
Aluminum foil is anodized. It's easy to tell if aluminum is anodized or not. If you rub your thumb hard on a piece of un-anodized aluminum vigorously, your thumb will turn dark as the aluminum rubs off. Mars Hydro TSL series reflectors are made of shiny RAW aluminum. That's uncommon. My cheap, flimsy, made in China California Lightworks UVB fixtures are bright anodized aluminum. MIGRO's appears to be etched anodized aluminum.
SuperBudDJ, mylar is polycarbonate plastic with aluminum sandwiched in between.
I bought 2 of these and a couple of spare tubes, just waiting on delivery, I think this is what I've been missing, I use mh and sodium with a nano tube beside the lights to produce some UVB and noticed a difference so this should really help.

Above the fixture. Some of the light will be blocked by the bars but a lot still gets through. UVB is extremely powerful so the plant don’t need much at sll

Can you show how to cover a led chips with the acrylic clear lacquer? How to do this, what to use and whats the downsides.
Received mine, smashed and wet as hell. Unboxed thinking if either of these work it'll be a miracle. But one did work out of the box. The other would not but it was very wet. So I left it under a fan all night and now it works too! These things are beasts, they survived getting smashed repeatedly and wet and still work?

can you do a comperison with SolarSystem® UVB as you guys are the only ones that have good uv lamps about there. i am also a little scared of them as there wave length chat shows them going bellow 280nm into uvc which is a little confusing from everything ive read about uv

The mounting height of the UVB is a little higher then my LED, could i run 2 UVB fixture in a 4x4 with a dimmer?
You can run them above your fixture but not on a dimmer..
Do they have internal reflectors? If not why not?

Not long unfortunately. But you're certainly gonna get a few grows from it. Well worth the money.
Hang it pretty high and introduce it 15 minutes at a time. Trust me UV can seriously cook and damage tissue in leaves. Wear glasses too.
Just got mine today it's awesome, thanks, i know these will work awesome on leds and I'm thinking cmh is okay but would like to know if I should keep it on the same time with leds mixed with cmh.

@@OhGadz yeah I know it's got a bit but got two mars 250s on each side of cmh and this dose help I have seen a tiny bit of bigger yield with the uvb but it's meant to make them smaller and stronger I did notice a touch of extra strength and stickyness but not a heap I've probably already done 2 full grows with it, it's not bad for the price in a 5x5

ya it has plant stressors so plant in last days will produce more resin to protent itself much like out skin darkens to prevent damage ,but uvb only does this,leds only really produce uva,and thats not same,so cmh 10k,and migro light,and few others only way to get uvb

I where do you hang the uvb in a 4x4 when you have a spider farmer sf4000 running ?
I have a sf4000 and I'm using 2-4' agromax pure uv tubes. I have them well above the sf4000 near the front and rear walls and then angled in. Ended up with perfect coverage that way. 400-500 umw/cm2 over my entire 4x4 scrog
