Also mix in sautéed finely chopped onion to the meat before forming you patties. The bun can’t be overwhelming or too much bread. That’s why the standard milk flour bun works best. Toast the bun using clarified butter.

I did not mind at all but my kids were complaining. I even tried a thermometer but it was unreliable. Any tips.

That's oh, I've been making hamburgers for years and everyone always says they taste the best for people who put fillers in their burgers like eggs or onions or bread crumbs and stuff like that. That's a meatloaf. Patty and it might taste good but not as good as this kind of hamburger. You want eggs you want onions. You put that on as a topping not in the burger. The only thing different than I do on my burger that not burger that I find kicks it up a notch. I sprinkle a little cayenne on the burger with the salt and pepper but very light because it kicks it up quite a bit
