You can always tell how well a car’s been maintained by the door jambs
Yes, I was actually the most pleased in particular with the door jambs in this job, there’s just something about them being super clean that’s really satisfying 🙂
And inside the fuel filler flap!
After hearing Pan mention that door jambs are painted and clear coated similarly to the exterior of a vehicle, my mind automatically went to the proper way to polish them. Thank you Sandro for this video. Nobody else goes the extra mile like this!
Just another great video of how professional your detailing is compared to any other detailer I’ve seen. Doorjambs are so neglected and even most other detailers don’t take the time to be as gentle and considerate to them as you showed us here.
Would you consider remaking a new video of your detailing products you use? Like brushes, towels, chemicals, etc?
Thank you mate and I am definitely planning on doing some updated videos on my current/favourite most products used, hopefully in the coming months.
Yes!! One of the most neglected parts of a car. A detail video specific to door jams. Love it!
Nice one Sandro
The nano polisher with Car Pro Essence is the perfect combo. Thanks for sharing that with us. I hope we get to see some more of this lovely Skyline. Thanks again, and have a good week my friend.
Great video and tips as always!
Seriously impressed! In the opening shots of the jambs, they almost looked rotted out and I kinda wondered why you were bothering ... But actually they came up like new. Guess the lesson here is not to let the dirt and grime kid you that there is not a great surface underneath.
You can’t alway know how it will go in the end when you start, but it’s extra rewarding when it all goes well!
As always the Perfectionist,i know it will be great before even watching it
🙂
Ha-ha, now I know - I am not the one only crazy man applied Cquartz UK 3.0 to my door jambs))) Thanks indeed for this separated video Sandro. Perfect filming even in these not very accesse friendly places. Cheers from rainy Sweden.
Thanks Sergey and thanks for noticing how difficult it is to get nice clean shots in those hard to film areas, appreciate it mate.
Another great video Sandro with a lot of helpful tips. I remember watching my pop as a young boy wash his car and after he was finished washing he would go round and open all the doors boot and bonnet and wipe down all the jambs.
I always see details of new cars or cars with a few kilometers and I say to myself: ok this is a good detailing but this is simple...
But when I come across these works then I do the warmest compliments to the author of the work.
Excellent!
I always wish i had my own driveway, garage or even more space following videos like this 😢. Tight dutch streets ftw, if i bring out the pressure washer i’ll get three other cars wet😂
🙂
Great tip on the tar & glue remover 🙌
Can’t believe someone let this Beautiful get that dirty.
Great job!
Good video. Nice tips and tricks
Just bought a neglected white car, and this is exactly what I needed to help with the jambs, little corners near external trims etc. Has all that yellow grime baked into it that normal cleaners don't seem to touch without heavy brushing - I'll give some degreaser then tar remover a go. Thanks!
*It's so relaxing and calming watching door jambs being cleaned*
Magic as always, Sandro. Thanks for sharing your process!
Thanks mate and my absolute pleasure 🙂
This whole time i thought they were called Jams, you learn something new everyday !
Top tips! Thanks Sandro . The tornador is a very versatile tool.
Would love to see the full detail on the Skyline 👌
There may be one coming down the track 🙂
I can't wait for the entire video on this R34! Amazing job as always Sandro, looks like it just came out of the factory 😍😍
Hands down the most informative channel love it keep up the great work
Nice!
Perfect job Sandro - as always! 👏🏻🤩
As always great to watch Sandro. Liverpool UK
Sandro just Fantastic This is what you have been saying right from the start Every part of the car is just as important If one part of the car is still a little dirty It takes down the overall look of the car Your skills are unmatched Youi passion always shines through no matter the job Just great to see as always Keep them coming In Sandro we TRUST
Thanks Bob, really nice to hear you particularly liked this video, jambs are quite often over looked so it was a video for those who do care about those finer details.
Thanks Sandro Jeremy Downunder
Pls make tutorial video on how to clean under body/undercarriage with no special equipment.
Wow I havent seen anyone go so in depth about door jambs.
I think I might hand polish and touch up, but not sure if ceramic coating is ott but we'll see
That was very helpful, Sandro - thank you! As always, fantastic work! 👍
Defining "detailing," Sandro.14:38 of my life very well spent.
Hope your'e very well!
Thanks, I’m well and hope all is good with you mate!
Really interesting and useful video, thanks very much. Some great tips here.
It is so satisfying to see neglected parts come up so well.
Thanks and great to hear it was helpful.
Great video, Sandro. The bonnet, door and boot shuts can be a pain in the arse to get right.👍
damn that was satisfying
I bought a second hand car.. looked like the door jams had never been done.
I couldn't be stuffed to do that level, but I just sprayed them with various detailing sprays every wash and then a hose off.
After a few washes gave it a little brush up.
Now that they're half decent I just use a damp cloth and wipe them down.
Its just something gross you have to look at when you open the door to get in.. when the rest of the car looks pristine, big let down.
Great video Sandro was only looking a few weeks back at some other way people detail door jambs, glad you released this video as it has some fantastic information !
Great work as always mate 💪
You are the best
Great video, i find that these trunk jambs become extremely soiled when the drainage areas are clogged and a good thorough cleaning will restore and allow that sitting dirt water to exit properly.
And that is a real detailing. Great job.
Nice video on door jams, I think sometimes they get over looked in the detailing world. I like mine to pop when the door or trunk is open. As always appreciate your effort in putting out these helpful videos.
Thanks mate and I couldn’t agree more!
Very satisfying to watch video.
Great tools
Another good option I like for rinsing out door jambs with less mess is using a pump sprayer filled with water.
My favorite way to clean jamps like that are a degreaser and a steam cleaner. It's safe for the paint, and or to prevent further damage paint from getting worse. Of course having a boar's hair brush helps as well.
great video as always, i was unaware that carpro tar x was able to be used so many different ways. will definitely need to give it a go
Great video Sandro! Love the process but i would totaly add one more step and go over with MDR on dark colored paints for sure. There's been times that i was so frustrated by mineral stains after very deep and tedious clean ups, acidic mdr finished then very well. Cheers!
I love my tornador. Well actually... I first had a real tornador that lasted six months and then crapped out so I bought an off brand from Amazon and it has worked faithfully for over four years now. I just make sure to rinse it out and wd40 the moving parts after every use.
Anyway... the tornador is an incredible tool especially for using just air and blowing my car mats out every week. It keeps them looking brand-new!
Some cars jams are a pain and get nasty fast like my wife's '13 taurus the lower seal on the door literally get full of mud and rocks every other week and are always dirty every week even after cleaning them and applying protection in the jams every wash.
It's such an easy thing to clean and also the ugliest spot for dirt in your car imo. Very surprising to see how it just doesn't bother some people
When I clean my car. Spray snow foam. Open doors and let is seep down. Place some towels over anything important then pressure wash all away. Literally just an extra minute of work
#1 Sandro.
Do you do PPF work as well?
Thanks mate, but no I don’t apply PPF
There’s some rust spots forming on the weld of my driver side door. I’m gonna have to sand it then spray it with something
wow!!!
Can Carpro multix be used in this cases, or is it better an alcaline degreaser? Thank you for the videos and the information you give us.
Yes you can absolutely use Multi-X and it is also an alkaline leaning APC/degreaser.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing thank you, Sr.
The often forgotten part for many amateur detailers 🙄
I was stupid and let my old SUV get nasty in the door jambs... Never again. I just got done washing my new Blazer and cleaning the door jambs is the last thing I did. Just a quick wipe with a detail spray using my secondary touch up drying towel. It took about 5 minutes and I plan to do it every other wash. I am not concerned about my old car now. I just use it to haul trash to the dump and load things up in that I don't want to put in my new car. As long as it is mechanically maintained I don't care how it looks anymore.
I think we’re all guilty of some neglect at times, but it teaches us great lessons, nice to hear your honestly and your lesson learnt.
I need to clean my Dads SAAB, the jambs gets super dirty
Nice job!! Would you coat the rubber seals with something?
Thanks and a nice protective dressing like Carpro Perl works pretty well for seals.
What is that degreaser? great foaming
It’s dilution of Shine Supply Wise Guy - should be listed in the description box.
I ceramic coat my door jambs right after taking delivery of a vehicle
Is it ok if i apply Turtle wax ceramic graphene paste wax(75 year Edition cream)
And then Top it with Turtle wax ice seal and shine?
Or its other way around?
And
Should we apply these products on newly purchased car?
Yes you can apply them to a new car and usually you’d apply the wax over the sealant.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Thank you for your advice 😊👍🤝
nice how much would a job like this cost?
the price of a bottle of degreaser, bottle of alkaline cleaner, a tornador, and a pressure washer
2nd👍👍👍
