    • @workshop_deluxe2493

Disagree. The mats are lambswool, there are more adequat procedures to clean them. Besides that, all mats and carpets are edged with leather. Lots of water is not approriate for cleaning.

This was a barn burner of a video. WOW, That Wedgewood blue color with the gray was just beautiful. For a car from 1979 this was in incredible condition. So there was a vinyl floor, low pile mats and then sheepskin mats on top of that. That sounds like total comfort. You stuck to your well honed and well thought out process as if this was any other vehicle. I kind of think since this was from 1979, this would have still been hand built. So that explains the quality and high level of detail in every part of the interior. A sale price of $80K was a LOT to invest in a car in those years, so the original owner was well heeled and had some money. Sold several times to people who obviously loved this car so much to keep such amazing records. This was real treat and I enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks Mitch so much for this. Have a wonderful weekend!!! Looking forward to a new yard geek video. I always enjoy those. 💜

Just found this video. My husband was a professional mechanic for almost 50 years. About 10 yrs ago, he was looking at a RR in Calgary, thought it would be cool to own. Once he went through it with a fine-tooth comb, he had second thoughts. Called one of his brother-in-law’s who’s a car restoration genius. The advice was to run far, run fast. Yes the parts are expensive but there were other issues. One is that they use a mineral oil hydraulic system. Mineral oil attracts water. It’s also difficult to source the volume of auto grade oil required. And as already noted, there are few after market parts. Sourcing OEM can be a challenge, especially for the electric gear shifter.

The silver shadow was considered by all Rolls-Royce aficionados as Rolls-Royce‘s biggest mistake. They took the body off of the stunningly, classic Silver Cloud and put a square boxy body on it
That car is only known for bad 60s & 70s movies where Arab stereotypes as assassins drove around, packed in like a clown car, shooting out of the windows, in bad Bond-like movies. There was no reason for the silver shadow to ever exist. It is an awful car with an awful body.

New person to your channel- I have seen a few videos now and have noticed that you (don't show that you) wipe the wipers-- I have noticed that the rubber some times has a residue that can keep the windshield from being as clean as it could be. Nice channel, will watch some more videos as your attention to detail is satisfying to watch.
