NFPA 13 Riser detail labeling with Draftsight

In this video we demonstrate how to label a riser detail created in SketchUp and exported as a 2D DWG file. Today we will be using the 2D CAD program Draftsight, but this could be done with AutoCAD LT, or CMS Intellicad just as well. We discuss selecting and organizing the components of the riser detail in CAD, adjusting the size of the layout, and adding labels and notes to the drawing. Various techniques are shown, such as aligning notes using construction lines, labeling pipe types and valves, and incorporating code references. The video also mentions considerations for different pipe materials and installation scenarios. The demonstration concludes with the completion of the riser detail, including what the final document will look like.
