"The algorithm" brought me to your channel, and I'll be sticking around! Love your personality, should make for some great watching! Probably won't ever visit Universal though because I'm not really a theme park person, but I do enjoy enginerding!
I flew over the A421 myself tonight, about an hour after you were there with the drone, and yes, all open again with new tarmac. They got the road resurfaced quickly
Great videos and keeps us informed over 2 to 3 weeks what's you have done with the A421 flooding under the Marston Moretaine Junction and great work with the drone footage and the great flying skills with you drone. Well done. 😊.
Glad you like them! Much more to come, but the topic will be shifting back to Universal Studios and Wixams railway station construction. And anything else that may crop up in the very local area.
It's too far away for me, I live on the doorstep here for the Universal Studios site and this flood just fell into my lap. There are probably others covering it.
Woop! The 5 tankers that were parked up at Starbucks by The Branston Way are all still there... I wonder if they'll stay there until all the new pumps are wired up?
Thanks for this update as even though I live in Marston Mortaine, and have posted something on the local FB sites, nobody answered my question as to whether everything was fully opened/operational on the A421, no responses so far. From your drone footage, everything at the pump station site today looks extraordinarily brand new, doesn't it? Sincerely hope that it will be fully monitored/maintained in the future to avoid future problems. Thanks again.
Now you have finished dirt watching the A421, any chance you can start dirt watch over the Black cat roundabout A1 road upgrade? Would be great to see regular drone view updates of that works.. 👍🏻
Plenty of dirt here to watch if Universal goes ahead. TBH the beauty of this is it's all in walking distance. I don't think I could put myself through the black cat traffic just to get a video.
Do you need a special license to be able to fly your drone over roads etc. interesting seeing the progress made over the past few days, as well as aerial footage of the local area in general
No, no license if you are flying a drone of less than 249g. Over this and you'll face certain restrictions or need certification. I've done these but if you stick to sub 249gram drones you are very free to fly as long as you do so in a sensible manner.
I'd love to make a 3d surface of this junction. Do you have 20 + photos from the drone looking mostly down I could use to do photogrammetry with? If it's dji, they store the GPS and camera info in the exif data that makes it really easy to georeference.
Just think, if we had 14 years of spending on maintenance and prevention then this wouldn't have happened. I hate to think how much the repairs cost compared to just basic maintenance

I'm more of an engineering fan than a rollercoaster fan, I'd be far happier watching how it works than riding it but I'll still have a go.
Thank you for updating. Much more accurate and timely than many other news by newsagents.
You wait till they start building Uni Tesla Studios, I'll be there an every day!
Thanks for your updates on this its been really useful
Thanks
You're going to get me fat! Cheers Scott, really appreciate that. Top bloke!
You are very welcome from Scott.
The place is looking beautiful. The sunshine was gorgeous today.

You are brave flying that!
Good to see it open again.. they did a great clean up job.. Your drone footage is amazing.. Quality and smooth flight
Thanks

Thanks so much for all your time doing these videos they have been great to watch.

@@ProjectUniversalUK Fab, have subscribed to the channel. Looking forward to more content!
Thanks for another super video. Looking forward to hassle free travel to MK next week.
Thanks for letting us know - great news!
Well worth watching enjoyed them them all😊
Looks great! Thanks for the updates. How about doing a bit on the black cat and A428 works might be fun 🤔

@@ProjectUniversalUK fair enough, and thanks again 👍
Great news as we going to use the road to take our vintage United Counties buses to Biggleswade for the running day on Sunday 20th. Caroline
Ohhh nice, I love those vintage buses.

You wouldnt believe how much they cost to have on standby

It's all temporary infrastructure . But yes, I think they were new.
Shame they didn't resurface the awful rut in the road on the roundabout on the Cranfield side, while they were closing roads.
We have been enjoying this series. Out of interest where have you been standing?
Next to the slip road on the grass. If you look carefully you'll see me plenty of times.

@@ProjectUniversalUK fair enough. Maybe someone nearby can do it
Let’s just hope they move the pump control unit to higher ground

No sorry I don't take that many photos.
Looks like they are running the pumps off generators until they fix the switch cabinet
Yes, 3 gennys.

£7 Million give or take but don't tell anyone I told you 🤫
Wonder what the late Sir Captain Tom would have made of this palaver on his doorstep?
