How long is the project/construction supposed to be was it 5 years? So a 2030 opening?

Given the amount of focus the Chancellor gave the whole area between Oxford and Cambridge, and how big a deal this would be slap bang in the middle of the area in question, I'd be amazed if the government don't just say yes to anything universal ask for. Shame they can't just say that but that's politics for you

Can labour just give an answer without always including a dig at the previous party?

not sure if i would love to be living in one of those houses or not. you would literally be living right smack in the middle of a universal theme park. awesome when its all done, sucky during the 4 years of construction.

All depends on how they’re phasing the construction. Sometimes the most obvious place for a compound is inconvenient for works taking place. Always try to place a compound where it can stay the longest without needing to be moved / has least impact on main works.
