    I love your videos Danielle and always look forward to when a new one comes out. You have inspired me to start reading again. I even bought a Kindle Paperwhite to help me with the lighting and font size so I can read the text easier. Thank you so much! Picking up the habit of reading again has been such a blessing and you’re the one I have to thank for that. Thank you again! 😊

    I keep mine in airplane mode all the time. I just turn it on to download my next book. This makes it MONTHS between battery charges.

      Thank you and welcome!! I really do LOVE the Paperwhite. Unless you're looking for something specific in one of the other Kindle models (like the ability to write or to turn pages using buttons), it has everything!

    I really like your step-by-step review of the Kindle Paperwhite. I believe it's the best review I've come across. I have 4 Kindles and have enjoyed all of them. I just received my new paperwhite signature (my 4th Kindle) and most of the settings and how to navigate the device. However, after watching you step-by-step video there are things that I didn't know and I now will be able to enjoy my new device even more...thanks to you.
    Just a note in passing, and it is meant in good spirit...that is your use of "y'all." I detect no southern accent in your voice and when you say 'y'all' it just sounds phony. Please don't take this as a trolling comment, but I have lived in the south most of my life and there is just something wrong about it.
    However, thanks again for the setup video.

      Thanks so much for your thoughtful comments. I'm so glad that my Kindle setup video was helpful for you and that it will help you enjoy your Kindle more.
      To your question of my use of "y'all", I was actually born in Florida and spent most of my life living in Georgia. I am, in fact, a proud graduate of the University of Georgia. Go Dawgs!! I wonder if you don't hear any Southern in my accent because yours is much heavier. Anyway, I appreciate you asking the question and not just assuming that I was some kind of poser. 😂 (Do people even say poser anymore?)

    How fun! I got a strap for the back of mine so I don't have to hold on to it and can just slip my hand in. And thank you for your manicure suggestion, it's working for me!

    • @fitdaniellereads
      @fitdaniellereads  Год назад +1

      I’ve never tried the strap; I always just go with a PopSocket. You like the strap? If so, I might have to try it. I’m glad that the manicure suggestion worked out for you. It’s so easy, isn’t it?!!

    • @karenscott7465
      @karenscott7465 Год назад

      @@fitdaniellereads the manicure is so easy! And it doesn’t really matter if it chips a bit. My nails don’t hold polish all that well for some reason. I do like the strap situation. With a pop socket I’m still inclined to support it with a finger or two and I’m trying not to do that.

    • @fitdaniellereads
      @fitdaniellereads  Год назад

      I keep meaning to reply to this message and forgetting. If your nails don't hold polish well, have you tried a bonding base coat? I use Orly Bonder, and I feel like it helps my nail polish "stick" to my nails better. I have naturally oily skin and hair, so I assume that my nail beds are oily, too (I don't actually know if that's a thing, but it seems to make sense), so before I do my nails, I wash my nail beds with dish soap (bc it cuts oil/grease. I use blue Dawn bc it seems to be the best at cutting grease.), and then dry my nails, wipe them with alcohol (unless I'm being lazy, then I don't), and then put on the Orly Bonder, Sally Hansen Maximum Growth, and then the Miracle Gel top coat. It seems to make my manicures last a bit better.

    Wow! This was so detailed and easy to understand. Thank you so much for sharing. Also can I just say your hair is absolutely beautiful. Love it! My kindle is on the way so I’ll be using this video when it arrives ❤ Also I just finished “The Mixtape “ by Brittany Cherry. It was an interesting read.

    Love your videos. I love filtering my kindle so I can see either my Kindle Unlimited books or my library books. I always have my airplane mode always on just in case I don’t finish a library book in time and it won’t go back until it syncs again.

      Thank you! I don't use screen protectors on my Kindles. I do have protectors on all of my devices with "glass" type screens. For those, I tend to use Tech Armor products whenever possible.

    No offense but you already had a latest gen Paperwhite plus you bought a Scribe, Basic, Oasis, and now another Paperwhite. That’s a lot of money to blow on devices that all do basically the same thing. Impulse buying is a real thing and it can be a serious problem for people and I genuinely hope you aren’t suffering from that.

    • @fitdaniellereads
      @fitdaniellereads  Год назад +2

      I appreciate your concern. This was something of an intentional impulse buy. I got it because I wanted the green -- but you're not wrong. I have a LOT of Kindles. 😂
