Hank Aaron was SO much more to the city of Atlanta than just a baseball player . He was and is a legend , a businessman , an Icon , a role model , and a prime example of what a good man should strive to be .
Well said lesko.
Undisputed HR king !
Hank Aaron is always be remembered ❤
Milwaukee legend
This man was a great man a great baseball player period
OMG - 50 YEARS. Wow, I remember watching that shot.
Hank Aaron is from my hometown of Mobile, AL. From my neighborhood of Toulminvile. He was a real life super hero to us back home. We played little league sports in T-Ville at Hank Aaron Park. You don't even understand how much he is loved and missed.
He hit it on my mom’s birthday. She was 21 when it happened.
I wish I could have been there! I can’t even see my home team on cable anymore…very sad! 😢 GO BRAVES!!🍀🇺🇸👍❣️
braves on top
Hank Aaron was a the epitome of what a baseball player should be. He led by example, always humble, and respected the game.
Thank you, Aaron!

MLB should’ve kept the All-Star Game in Atlanta to honor Aaron the year of his death.
But then stupid Biden and camala Harris pulled and said no!
Him and pete rose are the greatest hitters of all time
But Hank had integrity.
At this game good one to remember 😊
Watched Al Downing, while wearing the same #44, serving up the speecy spicy meat a ball for 715. That was a very proud moment in what was once baseball & it was also a testimony to Hank's consistent excellence by going above what was once perceived to be the unreachable bar & adding a healthy year to it at the end of his career. Sad he's gone.
I went to the game yesterday and saw it live.
Mr. Aaron's wife is so classy and lovely. I love how the Braves acknowledge and include her in special activities.
😢such a beautiful moment.
Hank Aaron is the ( IMHO ) greatest player of all time. AND STILL THE HR. KING OF ALL TIME.
What a night it was...i was in fourth grade...a Monday night game on NBC, and Hank Aaron hit number 715 in his second AB off Al Dowling. Excitement at my grade school the next day, and of course, the entire nation!
Ronald Acuña Junior MVP
👇🏽
He hasn’t done anything yet….
@@ELI_ATL I think he has 💀💀
@@Bomber.editzz he’s not top 5 in any stat this season
@@ELI_ATLmf we are a week into the season what are you even talking about lmao. We have career .220 hitters hitting .500
I can remember watching 715 leave the park on TV.A great day indeed.
Saw him hit one in St. Lou. Bob Gibson was on the mound. He hit it in the top of the first. Only run of the game. In less than 2 hours, Bob finished pitching the game and lost 1-0.
Why the recipients gotta play it so cool except Acuna. I hardly recognized Andrew!!! That said, he doesn’t look like he’s really aged!
Atlanta, which was one of the representative cities for discrimination against black people, seems to have changed a lot.
No it hasn't. It's worse.
Atlanta has been a majority black city for decades lmao
6:30 😮. That jersey is too fresh, where can I get one at?
God bless the real Home Run King! #Aaron
Lindo y muy merecido 🎉🎉
Just AWESOME!!!!
GO BRAVES!!! HAVE A GREAT SEASON, YOUR FANS LOVE YOU....❤❤❤
Henry Aaron played in turbulent times. Like Jackie Robinson, he endured many racial cruelties. He was always compared to Willie Mays for the title of the greatest "black" player. I saw him play in Wrigley field Chicago and County stadium Milwaukee later in his career. He was Mr. Consistancy. Lookup his stats they are incredible. 6856 total bases. I believe he was underpaid for the times like most players before free agency. He did not break the $100k ceiling until 1970. The most he made were his last 2 seasons in Milwaukee (240k). I am glad he is being honored and cannot wait to see his statue unveiling later this year. I can not believe it has been 50 years. Well done, Henry....
Basebol é um esporte muito pena que aqui no Brasil esse esporte é pouco praticado e tem poucos lugares para treinar 😢
i saw it on tv!
And peirce Johnson couldn't stop hanging his curveball right down Broadway that even a contact hitter blasted a moonshot he was the only one in that stadium that apparently didn't understand that his curve just wast there and it cost em i mean he wasnt the only pitcher that gave up anything but the ones he gave up were the ones that lost the game but oh well still a great night honoring the true hr king
go braves! There destroying the Mets tonight 100 %
That didn't age well, unfortunately.
Hope you didnt have money on that game lol
💯
How can you not be romantic about baseball?
Surprised Manfred didnt want to move this out of Atlanta
It's Opening Night in Toronto, too, tonight. Nothing on this RUclips site.
hank aaron was a true gentleman and pure class ,barry bonds could not carry hank aarons jock ,barry bonds has NO CLASS
Not once did Hank ever showboat on a home run , even in 715.
Never forget Manfraud moved the ASG from Atlanta the same year Aaron passed!!! 😡
only to be ruined by losing to the Mets, way to go Braves
Too bad Hank himself wasn't there for the ceremony.
The Braves lost that game 8-7.
Not relevant to Hank Aaron’s greatness and legacy at all
First
brian kemp is a clown
They did just a great job of honoring him in 2021 by letting politics force the All-Star Game to be moved out of Atlanta!
So you don't believe in secure elections?
Great celebration....but marred by the presence of Kemp. A racist fascist.
Can you libs stop bringing politics into everything? It is annoying.
@@willp.8120seriously. You’d think if the guy is racist he wouldn’t be standing next to like 4 black people lol
For a minute I thought you were referring to former Dodger and Braves Matt Kemp and I was like wait, wut?
@@codycooper2261 False equivalence.
