The fact this man didn't use steroids makes him the best home run hitters and an all time legend

Jesse W Aaron did it without juice, kiddo
@MUFC Soccer is boring.
the ONLY reference to him taking them was in in his autobiography when he said after the 1 time his heart was racing he never took them again; otherwise, there is NO other evidence that he took them but i'm more than willing to see your proof. i'll be waiting(but i wont be holding my breathe) & oh btw comparing greenies to roids is almost an apple to an orange) fyi if every Aaron homer was an out he'd still finish with over 3K hits. as far as velocity the guns were measured when crossing home plate in the last few years it's speed 10-15 feet from release which adds 3-5mph........like i said i'll wait(but NOT hold my breathe buddy)

I'll always remember him as one of the greatest athletes in 20th century
I'm lucky to have seen him play many times in the early 70's at Atlanta Fulton County with my late father as well as watching 715 and the call on NBC by Curt Gowdy. Thank you Mr. Aaron for these great memories.
I seen him play also a couple of times at riverfront Stadium against The Reds
Curt Gowdy's call of hank arron's 715 is my fave hr call of the 70s
Don't take the vaccine.
My opinion he's the all time homerun king and Roger Maris is the all time single season homerun king respectively. A great ball player and great person.
Totally agree
ABSOLUTELY!!
It's all subjective when comparing acrosd eras. I just like to say he is one of the best of his era but there more to baseball then home runs and that why he is not viewed as a better overall player then Musial and Mays. That era was filled with the best athletes in america at that time. Baseball was king then like football is now
@@anwjuice he was definitely better than musial.
Some may quibble with your calling Roger Maris the single season home run record-holder since he had 8 more games than Babe Ruth.

One of my favorite players. He is why I wore 44 when I played softball
Cool!! Hope that 44 on your jersey brought you good luck, Tiffany.
Hank Aaron was indeed an amazing player Tiffany, sad day for Baseball.
The man went about his business with courage, grace and a quiet dignity.
My favorite baseball player because of these quality's, the fact that he was an amazing player was just a bonus.
“Hit it for me Hank, hit it my way.”
I hope that young man is doing good today, and probably is celebrating Hank Aaron’s life with his family.
He still is the home run king.
Didn't go around whining and complaining he delivered every time incredible man!
Like that comment,Malcolm X always said that.Stop complaining and start doing.
He didn't go around denying others opportunities due to fear and racism due to the color of their skin like so many others throughout history including today.
Um...he did. As usual certain people just didn't listen.

What this man has done for baseball and generation of athletes will be forever remembered.
When I was 12 years old I went to see an Exhibition Game between the Milwaukee Brewers and their then AAA affiliate Sacramento Solons in Sacramento.
Hank hit a towering HR in the
game but it wasn't enough and Solons went on to get the win 11-8.
After the game, Hank came over to the stands and started signing autographs. He stayed and signed autographs for everyone there. I know because I was the last one to leave.
I was in such awe, here I was standing in the presence of the all-time HR King, and he stays and signs for everyone.
Great story!
Hank’s the one in awe now.

A genuine human and one of the greatest baseball players in history.
Loved everything about him.
"we were no able to stay with our team mates. We wasn't able to change clothes in some of the ballparks with our teamates. you realized it was not right but at the same token you had to do them to make things better for someone coming behind you"
Imagine if more people thought like this. Instead people seem to want others to struggle as they did. That transcends selfishness.
You are so right . Wish athletes now would have to watch this . Sadly the athletes now are destroying everything for future generations
I agree! It's all about money and ego nowadays, it's such a shame...

A true class act from day one. He’ll always be my home run champ. You just don’t see men like this anymore.
Not only a great baseball player but a genuinely nice and cool guy. Inspired many of us and an example to us all to never accept no for an answer.
Hank Aaron was not just an all-time great baseball player, he was also a great man, and that combination is extremely rare.
I never got a chance to see him play. But thanks to the internet, I have gotten a chance to watch some of his history milestones. Hammerin' Hank helped lead the way and brought the joy of the game to generations who never got to see him directly. Thank you, Hank! Rest well, your memory will live on.
One of the indelible memories of my childhood at 10 yrs old was watching Aaron break the home run record on a 12 inch black and white tv in my bedroom. To me he’s still the home run champion.
We where living the same moment, I was ten and had the same 12 inch black and white tv. Only difference was I had a Cassette recorder going so I could listen to it over and over forever.
As long as I live in this world Hank Aaron is now and will always be my Home Run King!! Without question you can easily argue him as the greatest baseball player of all time!! I told my father years ago before he passed that I would have given anything to have lived to have witnessed the baseball era of the 50s and 60s with all the old ballparks!! The golden era!!
One of the TOP 3 BASEBALL PLAYERS of All Time. I was 6 years old watching Hank Aaron pass Babe Ruth. I remember how worried my family was that when Hank passed Ruth on the home run list, someone in the stands would try to shoot him 😢. Hank was greatness personified. He faced and overcame the challenges in his life quietly and gracefully. Now he's gone Home. I hope all the sports legends are there to greet Hank as his soul enters Heaven. I hope Hank enters Heaven to an ovation and outpouring of love that is reserved for only The Best Among Us. That's who Henry Aaron was, "The Best Among Us". Rest Well Champ. You've earned it. @@francus7227 Ok.. This is not to take away from B. Ruth.. No “buts”.. just “and”
And Ruth played back when guys worked offseason jobs, and the VAST majority of the world’s pop, let alone the US, even dabbled in athletics themselves (when Ruth grew up).
And Ruth sticking out SO much. Not that it wasn’t impressive. Back to “and”… And like that of athletic females, where SUCH a higher% than guys just dabble in athletics, if engage at all… it’s much more common to see females stick out like a Ruth. So it was impressive, AND actually makes sense that an individual stuck out like that. Add G. Mikan of the NBA to the list. The NBA just wasn’t nearly as popular in it’s early days.
Long story short. I simply separate Ruth’s days from Aaron’s. There’s no taking away from either. Ruth was indeed a BEAST
@@francus7227 not to be a jerk.. just helping out on “the name of the game” w/ Runs. Yes. For Teams. I don’t demonize. The Runs for a Mantle & other Yanks simply make sense. So do the drawn walks. Ya don’t mind them when you have 5-6 hitters that literally reflect cleanup hitters for other Teams.
So many of these “legacy/impact” stats are in relation to NYY players specifically. Again, they simply make sense. I’m not devaluing anything.
Let’s look the yrs Babe hit more HRs than Teams. Pick any hitter in front of the Babe. And let’s say I’m in fact 1 of those Teams (or any Team)… So if I’m looking at an avg #2 hitter in front of Babe…. Do ya think it’ll be a wise idea to make a big Trade, or even a Trade/acquisition of that player w/ big plans moving fwd, thinkin’ he’ll give me “the Run production” he had hittin’ before Babe????? And don’t forget Gherig in that mix-match w/ the 3-4 spot.
You’re welcome for that. Again, the Runs just make sense. So do all the “drawn walks” for a Mantle as well. The walks make sense on both sides. Sure a post 4th hitter might hit cleanup for my own Team, but I’m sure in many situations it was a better idea to pitch-around Mickey. ;)
He was the best of us. The pride of West Palm Beach, FL. We miss you, sir.
Henry Aaron's humble prowess went far beyond the left field fence. He perservered through tremendous hardships and still became the soft spoken, respectful champion we love. His example of accomplishment can benefit all people in any endeavor towards greatness. Thank you Mr Aaron. Rest in peace.

One of the best of all time may he rest in peace hes an angel in the outfield🙏
So sorry, what a legend. I remember my dad took me to Shea to see the Mets vs the Braves. I saw Hank hit a home run with no batting gloves on. The ball was high in the air and you can see the outfielder trying to chase the ball back to the fence but it was a genuine Henry Aaron home run. In the steroid era, a homerun ball was a line drive in the air and the outfielder didn't move; all he did was watched the ball go over the wall. MLB should retire #44 just like they did for Jackie Robinson #42.
even though #3 was never retired, i could easily see #44 being retired, as ridiculous as this country has become.
