Or, once Sting was already hurt, do you imagine that Vince called it in to the ref, who then told Sting & Rollins to go for the move again?
I too am curious as to what happened, step by step, as Sting was injured. But, life experience has taught me that's more likely to be manifestation of the wish to be able to turn back time, much like the impulse that Rollins mentioned. It's depressing realizing what wwe has come to nowadays, especially when you look back and see how they booked former wcw stars. I realize a lot of fans these days roll their eyes at this but wwe was so much better during the attitude and ruthless aggression era. Now their nothing more than a corporate entity with boring storylines and a lot of talent that doesn't get utilized all that much. I'm grateful for these types of videos and RUclipsr's though. At least we can relive some of the fun times WWF had to offer at the time. I won't even watch the shows or network now though, it's clear vince truly doesn't care what the fans want since they'll always have viewers. Sigh, rant over.

As much that I grew up with the WWF/E started with the Attitude Era and the Ruthless Aggression Era. And those two eras are the all time greats. But I started watching wrestling with WCW (WWE's old longtime arch rival competitor) in 1993 up to 1999 with guys with Sting, Diamond Dallas Page, Booker T, Goldberg, Hulk Hogan, Macho Man Randy Savage, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and others before I saw The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple H, The Undertaker, Mick Foley, Kurt Angle, and other talents of the WWF/E. Both WCW (1993-1999), and WWF/E (1999-2013) that I grew up from my childhood years up to my early adulthood years last decade (2010s). But Mr. McMahon doesn't like WCW stars working with the WWF/E stars, but some WCW stars put into success in the WWE like Booker T and Goldberg for example. But man, I feel that the WWE just wasted a potential deal for the Sting vs Undertaker match, and the injury that costed Sting's WWE path. All in all, Sting is always WCW. Always.

Hell, I'd love to see them both back in the ring for a farewell match. It doesn't have to be good but it would be a brilliant send off for both of them.
Just too see who the better man really is (I'd go for sting personally).

In some of these pics "Crow" Sting looks scarier than the original Michael Myers. HHH's pattern of making himself look foolish in a feud build up always means he's going over on his opponent where it matters most- Steiner, Booker T, Lesnar, Sting. Some of my favorite matches where he got to be the seasoned professional, get a couple good runs, and have some classics introducing the world to the future. Aj, Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels some of the best out there today. All I'm sorry is there wasn't enough Sting merch lol. Maybe he'll be an coach in AEW.

I came across this channel when I was curious about the Invasion angle and you produced an incredible documentary about that. This was no exception. I enjoyed getting to learn a bit more about the enigmatic Sting and his treatment in WWE, which I agree was more about Vince’s ego in regards to WCW.
I stopped actively following wrestling years ago, when I met my wife and decided I loved her more than I needed to watch wrestling. However, I said for years and years that I would return for one match, and only one: Sting v Undertaker. Now that match will never happen, as Sting is, as mentioned, retired for good and Taker has just announced his retirement as well. And both deserve their retirements, hell Taker deserves a entire wing of the Hall of Fame dedicated to him. But that match would have drawn the mark out of me for one more night. That match I wouldn’t have cared who won, because we as fans would have been the winners. I guess the closest thing we will ever have is video game matches, and I’ve seen em all. Just gives me more reason to not watch current WWE programming though.
I knew about Sting’s medical predicament at Night of Champions, I did not know that Seth Rollins felt as badly as he did and it really made me feel for him. For him it had to be a dream to wrestle against an icon of the business and to see him literally crumble at his hands was that dream turning into a nightmare. Seth is a stand up guy and an excellent performer in the current era of WWE programming.
Thank you for your work. As a former wrestling fan, I find it interesting to look back at old video clips of WWE/WWF/WCW moments and matches and relive the memories but also to see documentaries that give new light to things I had seen or heard.

The buckle bomb is a blind bump, it's a more reckless move than any kind of piledriver. I agree with Sting that Seth isn't really at fault and injuries happen in the business, but when you see Seth getting Balor injured with the exact same move and himself deciding to stop using it, you start raising some eyebrows at the whole situation.
Yes, wrestling is inherently dangerous and freak accidents do happen, but you can't deny that some moves like buckle bombs and tiger drivers are more dangerous than others.
