damnn man i barely remeber you. thank god i saw this video lol... enjoy your journey and have fun till we meet again in the future and dont forget us here.. just in case you dont remember me i am the guy in the rojakk team that forget to bring my charger for the camp.
Man amazing editing. Quality af footage and your commentary is so obvious you know your audience haha. Lovely content dude!! Bomb af. Looking forward to week 2!!
That's super cool. I never thought of traveling *to* the US. I thought traveling throughout the US to see how different people are and what they do. There are just so many different cultures that you can't just go one place to see how people are here. And, man, you stayed at JFK? That blew my mind. Also, never take candy from strangers unless they offer you a ride.
Giovanni Gallardo We didn’t quite stay in JFK, it was a hotel a couple minutes away which was really close to the airport. I agree completely about how the US is just so big and there is no way to explore every culture unless you spend years traveling from state to state. All 39 of us are placed in different places and we are living different lives throughout the country. For me, I was placed in North Carolina, so I’ll enjoy to the fullest my few months here before regrouping with the others in the summer and exchanging our different stories then!
I really enjoyed this video! I just started a study abroad program in Hong Kong two weeks ago, so I'm going through getting used to a new place alongside you. It's cool to see somebody from this side of the world switching places with me, in a way. Enjoy N.C and the U.S.!
Matthew Shiflet Hong Kong! Same time zone as Malaysia! I’m still struggling with jet lag a pinch, but it’s been a wonderful few days in America, enjoy your trip. There’s plenty of Hong Kong food (dim sum, wanton noodles) in Malaysia and I eat it all the time. Oh well, for now I’m gonna be eating burgers and drinking coke... Enjoy your experience and I’m just gonna keep enjoying mine!
Shaun Yeoh Yeahh, the jet lag can be tough. Hopefully it wears off soon! I've been told American cuisine isn't too impressive to visitors, so I hope you find stuff you like 😂
Hi there Shaun, great vlog! I really enjoyed it and I love your dedication to record the footage until you didn't really enjoy your dinner haha. I applied for the yes program too and I was wondering if I could pm or email you and ask some questions. Thanks a lot for sharing your experience with us.💜
I just thought abt forgetting this KL YES thingy until I saw this vid . It’s kinda motivate me to participate myself. What a great video btw Happy Chinese New Year
My brother entered the selection but dropped out mid selection. I'm hoping i can join this year's selection but I'll doubt I'll even past the first one. One of my trainer's student made it so i hope i can get some advice from him/her. Don't know if the selection system is the same with Indonesia but if it is, would you care to explain?
Oh wow this is a throwback. No, I didn't make it unfortunately. Fortunately, it's 5 years later and I got into a delegation program for a semester to Uni of York in the UK!@@talael-kardaly3879
Hi, I wonder why you guys from Malaysia only have six months of exchange in the US? I was an exchange student too under YES Program and I am from Philippines.

Reventinah Salian I wrote quite a bit about my interests. I explained how I have a passion for music and video editing, wrote my own songs, helped coordinate my school rock band. I touched about my leadership roles in school, playing football and other relavant information. I’d say make it personal and make sure to plan and proof read your essay before submitting. That worked for me. :)
