    This series will focus on painting up the Deep Rock Galactic board game pieces included in the Deluxe and Collector's edition. This is "table ready" quality with a mix of Army Painter speed paints, standard paints, and acrylic inks. Miniature quality will be better with the official game, these are from my Creality LD0002H resin printer.

    I like the left (first) one better with a bit of freshly/brown as contrast. I have painted some warhammer pink horrors before so I know the purple speedpaints (hive dweller) was way too dark for me. I love how these DRG models can pop with color there is no holding back needed ;-) LOL

      Yeah the purple and pinks with this first generation speed paint do not thrill me. I might look at using acrylic paints when I do this spitter included in the game box to have better color options. Should show up this week if the snow stops delaying shipping.

      @@hopelesshobbyaddict How did you get the minis you used in the videos? I’m guessing there are 3D print files somewhere? It’d be nice to have one to test on for the dwarves at least.

    I was having a hard time getting the purple for this. Definitely out of the colors I usually use and quite odd using pink but enjoying the experiment and how good it looks. Thanks for this video series!

      Yeah these ones, and trying to get that Warder's back dome to glow pink, still give me some nightmares. Hard colors for me to mix and manipulate.

      @@hopelesshobbyaddict Definitely been delaying getting to the warden and exploders, already failed doing a bit of glow effect on the macteras. DRG is my first foray into painting minis and it's very helpful there's a guide just for them thank you!

      @@j-sun3821 You bet! It forced me just to give it a "best effort" on a few of these models, like the Spitters. I think it made me a better painter by the end and has been fun to share the journey :)

    Not my normal colors to work with. It was an experience to say the least. What are your color palette ideas for the Web Spitter?

    I love this whole series of videos! Perfect for painting DRG as my first-ever minis! I don't have nearly as many paints as you do, but am gonna try to get close to the result from the first half of the video. What priming technique did you use for this model?

    • @hopelesshobbyaddict
      @hopelesshobbyaddict  Год назад +1

      For this one, shaker can white flat Rust-Oleum. I need to finish up my priming and model prep video. I have about three different methods I use.
