Great tutorials. Even though I sometimes don't have half the stuff you use, I still manage to be creative about it and use anything in my disposal to get a result similar to yours. Thank you!

@@hopelesshobbyaddict I was "forced" to learn colour theory in a way, since I have only the basic speedpant starter kit paints, which means I have to try and mix stuff up in a way that the result is similar to the desired missing paints. Or how I have to use the dry brush sometimes in different ways than expected to achieve some more interesting effects.
Anyways I'm kinda rambling here as I am new in minipainting and this is the first boardgame I started with! You have been a huge help and I have followed each of your videos. I like your setup and wish you continue growing this channel.

@@DarthVader19991 I'm always rambling so I'm right there with you :) I have a color wheel now at least. I pretend to understand it lol. I backed the Broken Anvil paint set on kickstarter and I think I get some classes with that on mixing paints and theory as part of it. We shall see if that helps. This painting thing is a fun journey for sure.

I’m brand new to painting minis and your videos have been so amazing at helping me learn and the results have been great!
Will you be doing videos on the DRG expansions as well?

Awesome! Thanks for the kind words. Makes me happy to know my efforts were of value to some :). I got the expansion last week, printed out some extra miniatures to work on. I hope to start getting some content out in the next week or so. Work and life things keep popping up lately so I got derailed a bit. If I could just retire early and do hobby stuff *sigh*.

The whole series really convinced me I should get into speedpaints, especially since they seem beginner friendly. I decided to take the plunge and buy a bundle since I don't have many paints to begin with. Since no singles are out yet, which bundle(s) would you recommend to be able to paint the whole drg line? Would I be able to replicate it with the 2.0 mega, or should I buy both mega packs?

That is a realllly hard call. I still feel the original Mega Set from Speedpaint "1" is a great deal right now. Amazon even has it under $70 at this point to probably clear space for the new 2.0. Example on Amazon here I just looked up amzn.to/42sc4x4 As long as you understand the "reactivation" issue people had with version 1. That leaves you with cash saved to buy some single 2.0 bottles when they hit the market. Cherry pick the colors. Now, if you are patient, and not in a rush, the smaller 2.0 Mega comes out on the 10th of June. www.thearmypainter.com/shop/us/wp8060c I imagine you'll find it in the $80-100 range if you shop around. If that had been a preorder option back around Christmas for me, I think my recent review would have been more positive, as it's almost an apple to apple set, just missing some hardened leather, fire giant orange, etc. I am actually using the Bright Red in that set in my redo for the Engineer clothing right now. I would still add a single bottle of Hardened Leather for sure(original or wait for 2.0). I do like their new Peachy Flesh color as well, another alternative too Crusader skin. Did that help?! lol I think I'm rambling at this point. Getting late.

@@hopelesshobbyaddict Thanks for the reply and for the deal, it helped a lot! I'm ordering the 1.0 mega. Same day shipping too, so I'll be tackling the first mini soon.
