As I understand the Animist is part spontaneous. The divine spells are prepared, while the Apparition slots are spontaneous. Which makes sense as you can change out the (primary) apparition.
Animist is very much shaman with a bit of medium. At least from the preview. Inquisitor may not be coming officially. They mentioned there are a lot of archetypes coming in the new book so maybe something there.
Well, more like a spiritualist. We don't employ these apparitions on the battlefield like that. We let them possess us to grant us their powers. Yu-gi-Oh I guess ? Imagine your average Joe that knows nothing about swords flicking their wrists and now they are possessed by a master swordsman, so they gain proficiency with martial weapons, armor, etc.
Wait, is this part of the 2024 re-vamp? Or is this part of a diffeent book? What niche are these supposed to be fulfilling? Don't we already have shamen that deal with spirits? I'm not familiar with Pathfinder but I am following it until the new version gets published.
Me showing up to the next session with my Trox (large-sized bug ancestry) Exemplar named Paul Bugyan
Is Trox a new ancestry or is it homebrew?
@@iarooz2189homebrew as far as I know. Can't find anything new about that.
@iarooz2189 it was in 1e

Exemplar walks into a bar and 29 patrons turn to give them a dirty look. "Barkeep, I would like your largest bucket of your finest gin."
Great work as usual. Excited for the exemplar.

Think a bit like Shaman King if you are familiar

They're more than likely coming in a rulebook in 2024.
I think they're coming in a book that's coming out next year.
probably gonna do a mix like they did for the kinecist :)
Animist is kind of a cross between shaman and medium from 1e. Exemplar represents demigods and folk heroes like Maui Hercules and Cu Chulainn
