    You guys are 1,000 percent right! I fought my husband so hard on going to church, reading his Bible, to stop feeding his mind with such secular entertainment . It caused a lot of divide in my marriage and we were both withholding what each other needed. I brought it to God and said what am I doing wrong? And He said it’s not your job but mine. I am working on him but you need to focus on me, not him. I said okay God, I give this to you and I really started focusing on my own journey with no intentions other than to draw closer to the Father Son and Holy Spirit . He has watched me turn into the wife he’s always wanted and now he is curious about God. I am currently witnessing my marriage be transformed day by day. My husband went to church this Sunday and for the very first time in his life he was writing notes. Last week him and I did a Bible study together, I mean I never would have thought! God keeps his promises and he is so gracious.

    Absolutely! The Holy Spirit will convict your husband by your behavior. That is part of my testimony my husband and I found Jesus 2 years ago. I started going to church with the kids. I invited him a few times and he went the first but then said no and I got angry but kept going. Eventually I started to transform as I learned more about the Bible and my husband started driving me to church instead of letting me go alone. He would stay in the car. When he saw I wasn’t going to stop he started going inside. Now we are both batized , read the Bible together and our lives and relationship has transformed. I think if I stayed in that state of anger and combative he would’ve never joined me on this journey. I give thanks to God daily that we grew together and not apart ❤

      Not being yourself is not interesting to me. People may persecute you for being yourself when they are not Christian, but that is evil. I contemplate the Lord's glory in Scripture (Revelation 1:12-18) so that no one can ever take my freedom away to be myself (2 Corinthians 3:17-18). I always stay away from those unkind, evil people, as they are a drag of enmity to me anyway (Genesis 3:15). How many foolish, "famous" women in Hollywood are followed -- not by me, except what I see on the cover of magazines at the store -- who confess that they might finally be feeling better these days and maybe be feeling like themselves a little more, after years of fiction-service in Hollywood. All that money and fame did what along the way then (James 4:4)?

      Feminist, liberals and even conservatives look for reasons to not believe or to turn away from God. They be like the Bible was written by men for men or it was written to oppress women or it was written to suppress our desires( no, God put restrictions on us for our spiritual protection same way a parent puts restrictions on their kids even though the kid might want to eat sugary foods for breakfast lunch and dinner or go out and do whatever they want the parents have to put a restriction on them, but just like kids use all kinds of excuses to be rebellious grown ups use all kinds of excuses to comfortably live in sin or turn from God. I'm not religious nor do I know much about the Bible but I had a good spiritual relationship with God when I was a preteen so even though I am not religious or too much of a believer I have an understanding of the spiritual life aka next life. Without turning FULLY to God/Jesus to save our spirits from our sinful ways we have no chance. The days of being saved from torment ended once Jesus died for our sins, now the choice is ours but with the help of God if we choose to seek him, the time to get right is now, while we are still in flesh and spirit, once the spirit lives the flesh our spirits are set, there is no begging or pleading that is going to save you once you are dead. As long as this life might seem it's a second compared to the next life because the next life is forever heaven or hell.

      The one and only protector is God. Man has the role of Leadership but even many women can't have children. So the focus can't be only on finding a partner that can raise children. Also women can be productive and provide for the house. It's that simple. What if the husband passed away? I'm just saying.

    • @roma5809
      @roma5809 Месяц назад +4

      @@shahar26 true but why think that way? Also a wise husband prepares in advance in the event of his death or illness. The are examples in the Bible of the great patriarchs: Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and others like David who all prepared for the continued taking care of their family after they left the earth.
      Even JESUS himself prepared in advance for his mother Mary’s wellbeing after his death. A leader prepares.
      Also it’s unrealistic to expect a woman to provide and keep the home. Yes most women do it but they usually are burnt out and resentful from being overworked. God is very clear that the primary provider of the household must be the man.

    My husband and I fought and bickered for the first 4 years of marriage. I’m fiercely independent, I felt I had it more together than he did so I wanted to lead and for him to follow. But God put it on my heart to submit to him out of reverence for Him. And truly our marriage has changed from night to day and God has equipped him with what he needs to lead me. I always felt in my heart that the only right thing was to submit to my husband, and im happy at such a young age i never let the judgment take over me and always know where my place is. I couldn't follow his will the first test that I was put through, i abandoned him for a while and it never felt right it never did, but finally I went back to him and knowing that he's always there waiting for me with his open arms had my eyes tear up. I felt shame but as GGB says shame will stop you from going to him and come as you are so i did and man i have never felt at home than I did with God. I am continuously tryna be close to him even though I am so hurt right now, i am lost, I don't know who I'm supposed to be but I'm still trusting him and giving him my all cause I know he got this. I need prayers ladies! My husband has had a whole life of growing up with his mother hating his father , even though my husband is a huge follower of Christ now his learned behaviors have come to a head where he can be so mean and toxic! I have grown up with a house where this type of fighting was never around. I just dont even know what to pray for other than he becomes very much emotionally aware and he puts in the effort to make me feel acknowledged.

    Ephesians is one of my favorite books.
    These are my takeaways from chapter 5 for the husbands and those who want to become one.
    Verse 21: summit to wife
    Verse 25: Love his wife
    Verse 26: Is more concern with a woman’s holiness than her beauty
    Verse 27: Desires to build a woman up rather than beat her down.
    Verse 28: Desires to join with a woman in such a way where he considers her wellbeing just like his own.
    Verses 29-30: Is able to express his love in both practical and emotional ways.
    Verses 31-33: Realizes that his life and relationships are meant to bring glory to God above everything else.

    Angela’s leadership to spread the word is 🔥. Wow! The way the Lord is using these women to speak on a subject they aren’t currently personally living in is a testament of who God is. A God of wisdom, of knowledge. A God of order. This episode spoke clearly and in depth of what a covenant with God should be. I am 😮 and so mesmerized by God. Angela and Ari if I could say how much you two have helped me… this comment box doesn’t have the space! Thank you Jesus!!! ❤

    I am so godly proud of the work you two are doing for the Kingdom. This was such an important episode (but truly, I think that about all of them) and it warmed my heart to know my husband was listening in the background, while he was doing his thing. Hearing him say “Amen!” throughout the podcast makes me so thankful to God that He set my husband aside just for me. I didn’t meet him until I was 33. It was difficult to see all my friends and family getting married and starting their families, wondering if that was ever going to happen for me. There were several times I could’ve settled and married the wrong one but THANK GOD for giving me the patience to wait out His perfect plan. You can too and it will be so, so very worth it. ❤️🙏🏼 I love you, GGB crew! Thank you Ang & Ari!

    Thank you ladies. This was such a beautiful and truthful message. I cried many times. I was in a marriage where I was hurt and used, I am grateful God has separated me from whom was trying to destroy me because he couldn't become the leader and trustworthy man as God has designed men to be. I am happy single as I can now strengthen my faith. I've seen the miracles already in my life, and the closer to God the easier it is to be single as I don't feel alone when I can be of service to Him. And I'm still learning so much. I still feel the desire to be with someone of course, but I pray to find someone that can bring me closer to Jesus and his light and not further away from it. No playing games, just devotion to this beautiful godly life. Please come to Miami or Fort Lauderdale, or anywhere in Florida 🙏 Much love 💗

    Ari, you do make a good point around 24:52. Submission is a two way street. Jesus appeared on earth as a poor, traveling preacher, suffering scorn and rejection from the people He was trying to save. Then He encountered what could be the worse form of execution ever created by man, along with the spiritual aspect of His suffering, of which no one can truly comprehend. If THIS, is the kind of submission Jesus endured, and He is calling us to emulate Him in loving our wives, we husbands are confronted with a daunting task. In the discussions I hear about submission, it is, "wives submit to your husbands," PERIOD. The part about husbands loving wives like Christ loved the church gets glossed over: by those outside the church, and those of us within the church, too. If husbands are to ask their wives to submit, we must first ask ourselves, have we even begun to comprehend what it means to love the way Christ loved the church?

    • @romysv

      I wish most men within the Church thought this way. I've seen way too many men focusin on women just submitting and what the girls said about them being above women that I can't help but reject the idea.

      @adriannabordeaux Месяц назад

      Yes, the bible also says to submit to another out of reverence for the Lord. We are to also honor eachother. The only Lordship I desire is that of the Lord.

    • @danj8038
      @danj8038 23 дня назад

      @@adriannabordeaux that verse 21 is talking about the church of Ephesians, not the husbands and wives. the NLT translation and the NIV translation has brought confusion when it comes to the this specific part because they're more thought for thought translations and not word for word. Mutual submission if for the brothers and sisters in Christ. Not for husband and wives. Christ never submitted to the church, Christ submitted to the father will which was to die for the church.

      I feel that a lot of the video was spent demonizing men and saying what they needed to do also.
      Isn't the topic about women submitting to their husbands?
      Why not focus on that and explain properly that submission requires obedience?
      Surely, you can all give men advice somewhere else or in another video.

    Wow this really hit home for me. I’ve had to truly learn to submit to my husband and it’s still a work in progress but I’ve learned that submitting to my husband isn’t possible until I fully submit to Jesus and there are ways we don’t realize we aren’t submitting to Jesus and it opens our eyes to new ways we also need to submit to our husbands and then as we do the blessing flow into our lives. Submitting takes away our anxiety because we realize we are not in control of it all.

    Growing up in the church, my whole life I have heard "submit to your husband!" Putting it all on the wife. Thank you for sharing the truth, where there is a mutual job here. We both must submit to each other. But please be careful with saying the wife should submit to the husband even if he is not in a relationship with Christ. I agree with that, HOWEVER, you must add if there is any abuse in the relationship, God does NOT want you to stay in that. God is a God of boundaries and honesty. God tells us very clearly we must put boundaries on ourselves and if people, even our husbands, are not abiding by those boundaries, you must protect yourself.
    This conversation can be misconstrued very very easily, even in the Christian community, and I know COUNTLESS women who stay with their husbands because of this topic, not knowing God wants them to be honest and put boundaries on themselves.
    My relationship with my husband went through a hard time but only when I became honest was when God really worked in us.
    P.s. thank you for doing what you do!! I am proud of you and your growth during this time in your life!!

    I find it crazy that I use to think Christianity as a whole was a cult. But God called out to me in 2019 and I found comfort in Jesus after making my first prayer. Ever since then, a switch in me has been flipped and my life has changed radically. I praise God for all that has happened to me and will happen to me.
    My faith has started to grow stronger since I started watching George Janko and now Girls Gone Bible. This episode about dating is very tough. I've been in the dating scene for around 4 years now and would love to find a God-centered relationship. I've been matching with women who don't believe or no longer pursue God. Women who want a God-fearing man do not even bat an eye at me haha.
    So, I am grateful to know that there are wonderful women out there, like the hosts, and I do pray I will one day find someone.

    I think you’re more than qualified to talk about this topic because entering into a marriage that doesn’t have submission, values & these expectations set in place is so much harder than finding a partner who fits this role and understands how to have a fruitful marriage. And it’s especially hard to go into a marriage without knowing this, later find Jesus and your husband/wife is not on the same page… this needs to be talked about more.

    So blessed by all you do as a man in his later years who lost his wife recently. I am planning to live like the apostle Paul, staying single, and serving the Lord. I was watching your modesty podcast recently for the second time. I’ve also watched podcasts that you’ve done with Madison Prewett Troutt discussing these issues. I know given the pressures of both having so much natural beauty and having careers that focus so much on that that every bit of your transition has been spirit, inspired and challenging. I just want to give you some male perspective. There’s a scene in the movie clueless where one girl says to another dress so you show a little skin that makes them think about you naked and makes them think about sex
    In my experience as a man, the more skin showing if a woman is fundamentally beautiful, the less possible it is for the men around them, not to be distracted by sexual thoughts. And I’m telling you this is true for even the most ancient and tired men so I’m glad that you’ve learned the hard lesson of staying more covered up yet looking gorgeous, because for you ladies, that had to come with a lot of exertion.
    That being said your beauty so magnificent, and I have been so grateful that your ministry is one that I can share with young people in my family and in my net work, knowing that you are going to inspire young girls to value themselves as children of God and to release concern about how peers are sizing them up. This is so hard for high school girls, so I’m so glad I can refer that age group to your videos.

    Goodness I’m struggling being the primary provider in my marriage right now. Comparing to what others have had only been toxic for us. Praying God re-establishes my husband. But in the waiting, I’m encouraged bc God is faithful.

    Nice to see Godly women sharing the Gospel. I'm praying for both of you. Keep putting God 1st. I'm 35, and I help encourage any age generation to not give up on Jesus Christ. May they follow the perfect will of God. Love you and pray for you both. God Bless. 😊

    I'm happy that I gave my life to Christ on his 17th birthday and made it to be 24. My sister gave her life to him a few days after my 17th birthday and she would be 22 next month. Me and her would do outside one on one gospel conversation with people. We would invited people to our Bible study group at Panera Bread and I met my husband and his friend when me, my sister and my best friend was with me. Some reject the gospel and we respect them by walking away and some wanted to hear it. My goal was to reach out to all the younger generation born in 2000 like me.

    I'm in Australia and I really wish I could have gone to the show. It looked incredible. I'm just a teenager but I know you guys will be in this for a long time and when I am old enough I am 100% in need to hear you guys preach. God Bless!!

    I’ve been praying a lot lately about this exact topic. Thank you for reading the bible verses and explaining it in your own words. I’m learning that marriage without God can be very difficult and the more I pray and lean on God, the better we get. ❤
