This is great advice. Some of these unique stuff can be missed by newer players (like myself). On the operation Orphix Venom I took the time to get two full Arcanes: Energize and Guardian. I do miss Grace at times, but I will get it later. These two arcanes though are now on each of my builds and they make everything a lot easier. Eventually I will get a lot of other stuff also, but it definitely was worth the time to go for those things as a new player.

Just tried this build and it MELTS. I made a few changes by adding Drifting Contact in place of Gladiator Might to help keep the combo counter longer, and adding Power Drift to Loki for a little boost in Eclipse's damage increase. Love seeing those red crits on screen and those Acolytes being annihilated.

@@astasenpai8509 After you double-jump or bullet-jump, just aim (while still in the air) and press the melee button.
Takes a little time to get used to, but once you do you'll be melting Acolytes in seconds.

@@astasenpai8509 You're doing something wrong. Make sure you have the Exodia Contagion arcane equipped in your zaw. When you double-jump or bullet-jump, aim then hit melee while you're aiming and while you're still in the air.

What about this whole combo, but instead of the Exodia Contagion zaw you use a Glaive Prime? Could have some really good damage too
the problem is that the glaive wouldn't have the damages of the viral zaw, which add more posibilities like using corrosive for heavy gunner plus the viral for everything else
@@RISCHARD1238 he is t using a viral zaw in this he’s using a normal zaw which is why I had to recheck it because didn’t know could add Expedia contagion to a non plague zaw
@@johnsinclair3652 yeah u could, but i think kripath with peye and vargeet ii jai is best imo, cause u can have both viral and corrosive and because of the increase in attack speed, u can add something instead of fury if you want

Another too many conditions to make lots of damage. You can reach millons of damage with any weapon if you have this many conditions.
A must have weapon is that one that doesnt need anything to be good. For example, the Kuva Nukor.
how is that many conditions? it's just 12x combo and a build that supports it. Getting 12x combo is the only part of the setup
@@fickleborn5314 Sorry I didn't quite get it. He builds 12x with melee and then shoots the Kuva Brama? I didn't see him doing melee damage in the video. I'm not sure how the Exodia Contagion is helping his shooting weapon.
@@johnmyers8921 He didnt use the Brama once. It's all ranged "melee" attacks. "Exodia Contagion is an Arcane Enhancement for Zaws that unleashes a projectile of Infested energy upon performing an aerial melee attack while aim gliding after a bullet jump or double jump."

now i have tried everything so far
im using wisp
i tried mirage also made no difference
with all the right mods and arcanes and exodias etc
i cant get orange or red crits
same stuff as u
but i see only blues and yellows the whole time
highest numbers i see in yellow is 500k-600k and once 1.057 million
majority of the yellows are 20k - 100k in group kills
so this doesnt make sense how u get red even on steel path with enemies at level 142
{edit} so i see this video was released on 6 september ......event only came out on 8 september !
that means this is old footage from a previous event
and is not valid anymore so this must have been nerfed like crazy
yup
from what I've seen in my own testing, seems that Contagion's throwable no longer accrues and instantly consumes any combo you had. Best you can do now is one nuke hit before being left high-and-dry combo bonus-less. Still strong, just not as insane as advertised. At least I made back all the forma I invested from the event :)
New player here ... do I need to buy multiple Exodia Contagions from the rewards shop, or just one ?

@@shubhamnew It's still very strong and way overkiII for almost anything even at lvl 1 though, so if you can't max it it's still very much useable.
luckily I got it from the naberus event. Saw how fun the mechanic looked and decided I had to have it. So ghoul saw and forma it is.
Even if I dont get too many of that Item I really want the forma in the event ( Im running low and I need some more to make my other warframes perform well
Want some advice for a "must have reward from plague star"? Buy spare Ghoul Saw sets. In a few months, they will be worth LOTS of plat. Want proof? Ceti Lacera bp from Scarlet Spear sells for 700 plat right now.

I saw the same thing, considering SS will come back i think the prices are insane, but I kinda get how nobody back then bought the BP. I didnt aswell xD
But ceti lacera isn't in the drop tables because there is a lacera. Ghoul Saw is a new weapon it's not a variation of it. It will be put into a drop table somewhere after the event. Another problem is it will probably always be in the market for plat at 245p so it can't get over that price either. I'm not saying it's for sure but be careful buying extra bp it might come back to bite you. Think of it more like the Cedo. That's the path the ghoul Saw will probably take.
the in-game market sells a fully built ghoul saw (with potato) for 245 plat. No one will be getting them off players for a higher price unless they are just dumb.
This is horrible advice, don't follow it. Ghoul Saw is a different case from that. It'll be available after the event and everybody knows it'll be available after the event cuz it was stated as so during the devstream. the price ain't gonna rise too much.
The exodia arcane pairs well with the proboscis cernos, its good fun
It's just the best event. Great melee and forma for days. Too bad we probably won't get dual MIGHTY SEERS
Don't know about the best - I'd kill for another Scarlet Spear -, but as a Titania main I do love a good Plague Star.
@@GergelyGyurics I call it the best due to the forma and being able to choose your reward more or less. Can stockpile a years worth of forma if you grind enough
@@ThePopeOfAwesomeness well yeah, one forma per round is pretty awesome I give you that, and the event itself is pretty good too. This is my third Plague Star and I still wait it like it's christmass. But Scarlet Spear gave you an arcane every round, and you could basically choose almost any Warframe arcanes. I personally maxed out Energize, Guardian, Barrier, Precision, etc. I basically had no arcanes before that.
I was burnt out after that event, and I had to take a rest from Warframe, but it was one hell of a fight and I'd gladly do it again.

I still can’t believe I missed the last plague star because I was in Alaska
A rando in my group the other day asked us all what we were farming first. I mentioned Contagion was my first thing on the list, as I didn't have one, and I knew of its potential. Proceeded to get called a noob for the entire mission for wanting the arcane.
The community of this game has really, really gone downhill.

I've got a 126%+ Critical Chance base Plague Kripath with x5.0 Crit Damage multiplier and Exodia Contagion installed.
Trust me when I say that enemies fear me when I step into a room with them.

will the zaw still perfom well even without eclipse and powerspike? i haven't reached that high in naramon and I haven't taken the time to farm mirage
If you have kuva nukor or cedo, you can proc them first, and without any combo counter, you can one shot everything below lvl 100,assuming you have a right build, so with 12 combo counter, cedo or nukor and contagion, you can pretty much run around, kill everything and thats without eclipse

So I got a Dokrahm Riven with +158% Melee Damage + 157% Critical Chance but sadly -31% Critical Damage ; would you consider this to be good still? Imo it would seem that the -% in CD would be negligible but I'd love a 2nd opinion! Thanks!

Does that exodia contagion ultimately turn this into a thrown melee?
No, its still a normal melee weapon, like a staff, sword, heavy blade, a machete or whatever, just that it can throw out a damaging projectile depending on speed, c-multiplier , elements and so on, but its not a throwing weapon a la Orvius, Glaive or Xoris and it doesnt behave like this melee class, nor can it use these specific mods like Volatile Quick Return or Combo Fury.

@@leobentley7056 so you double jump and then u throw out an exodia contagion projectile while in the air ? practice this - it should work . dont concern yourself with the damage for now - he has subsumed Eclipse and uses some other buffing tricks... but this is about the fundamentals .. and I want to know what you are missing

How can you get your combo counter up without dying? The moment I try to slice enemies in SP, I get shot down
Get some defensive stuff.
For example stealth, tons of armor, adaptation warframe mod, mesa helminth skill, shield gate cheese etc.

Tho what did GHS do (or had) in the video that made him build up combo counter so easily? I mean, I know he had that operator arcane that pulls enemies in, but when I tried to swing with this, it was like lifting a boulder.
@@Smylann Presumably he just hit a group of enemies while in stealth.
Once berserker fury kicks in the attack speed helps a lot, especially if you use a stance with lots of quick hits.

You could try magus lockdown. It immobilizes enemies.

You are able to throw it by double jumping, aim glide, then regular melee attack button. But you can only do that when exodia contagion is on

Hey just curious, wouldn't it be a viable thing to subsume breach surge onto mirage, then you could use eclipse, hall of mirrors, and breach surge all together
mirage doesnt multiply exodia contagion projectiles.

Naramon doesn't build combo. It helps you maintain it, by making the combo counter decay when it's not being used rather than totally evaporate.
I crafted the zaw and modded it to be like yours with the arcane and everything. How are you throwing it?

If you want to group enemies, you could replace a semi-trash ability with Larva from helminth. That’s what I personally did with Inaros, replacing his 3.
But isn't ensnare is better tho?
@@Inazus think it has its ups and downs. Larva doesn't need a target so you have more control on where the grouping will be plus they're more clumped up. Ensnare lines up the enemies and positions them Slightly facing down for easier headshots

Double jump, aim, shoot. Exodia contagion let's you throw a projectile while doing this. It's like throwing the "soul" of the weapon since it has its shape. And it deals up to 400% dmg if you throw it further

Zephyr; Grouping, +150%crit chance, 2x Crit multiple. More projectile speed with augment. Just need a blind for the 7x stealth multipler and that's not hard to do.
Shatter Shield and augment instead of her one?

So, I see that you used both Loki Prime and Wisp to demonstrate in the survival. Which do you prefer to use for that? Are they both viable for survivability in SP playing solo?
Just saying, everyone can agree that invisibility is the best invincibility.
Loki can be invisible for long periods of time.
Wisp is invisible when in the air and not using ranged weapons.
(Air melee is fine.)

I’m looking for someone with a larger channel than mine to bring fourth a new build for Chroma ( it doesn’t have gloom ) I found a way to make a chroma that’s actually far stronger than gloom chroma I was wondering if you could feature this build on your channel? I’m not looking for a way to boost my own channel I just was to share this build with the community because this build is built for melee since people love melee in this game, I wanted to do something for the community I have tested this build multiple times and compared it to gloom chroma for steel path, I was looking for a name for this Chroma build and called it Berserker Chroma.

It's not the weapon he's throwing it's the projectile from the arcane

Great info but your videos are just way too complicated for newer players with just way to many conditions to be met. I'm sure it's great for players who have a good amount of experience. Wish you would also consider the newer players.
I understand your point of view but this kind of build is actually meant for endgame content. If new players don't understand all the "complicated details", that's not really a problem because they'll learn all those during their journey to endgame. The central info is clear for everyone : the arcane contagion is good and worth farming. The event is open for everyone, so even new folks can farm it. What to do with the arcanes will be clearer for them later, but at least they'll know now that spendind time to get them will be very useful in the right time.
(also, there are already tons of channels dedicated to newer players if they really need more explanations)

This need 6 months of grinding to achieve not everyone have arcanes nor helminth so you should add in title for veterans only
6 months? More like 50k standing for a rank 3 arcane. That's 17 runs of plague star so about 3 hours if you're unoptimised or else it's faster. And you have several days to do it

Yes but only for priming purposes. You can try out gas and sickening pulse though but you will need to group enemies. Same goes with electric. It's fun but not as lethal as building for damage and crit chance with eclipse.

He doesn't get combo counter, he already has the combo built and thanks to naramon plus long combo duration he's just losing it extremely slowly.
