Incredible VIDEO even despite the memory card gremlins! Yup it happens to all of us! Even though the sound was out of sink in the 2nd clip the video was spectacular! And those FP9s looked and sounded fantastic! Hope they never repaint the former Canadian Pacific plow! What was the Union Pacific GE doing on Ontario Southern property?!
I have a video of plow action from Stratford to Palmerston, Wingham etc. from 1987 where they were using CN F-Units. Are the ones now used by the OSR ex-CN?
I heard that. Last time I talked to the crew in Stratford they thought the plow would never run again as they now have that snowblower. Guess they changed their mind.
That's neat! I don't think I've ever seen a rail snowplow in action before. Thanks for posting!
Better in person. :-)
I'll bet it is.
Nothing more satisfying than seeing a snowplow at work on the rails. Nice catch
Thanks
Super video i like it thanks greetings from luxemburg europ
Thanks. Much easier sipping coffee nice and comfy enjoying this while you did the hard work.

Great shots! And those gremlins happen to everyone one time or another.
Maybe they will stay away for a while.
Another great video, Thanks
Thanks for looking

I added the sound as that far away there was no sound and dead silence just does not look right on a video. You caught me . :-)
Very cool video
The Weather Network is calling for 10-15cm for both Friday and Saturday. Your chance for some more snow plow shots is only a couple of days away!
Bring it on.
Sadly it never happened :/
Nice action! Great video
Thanks
The bloke in the Ford was ready to leave before the lights stooped flashing, then the locos set back.
Anthony.
Yes, they backed up to take another run at that section and I though the camera was on but had stopped it . :-(
Is CN's Goderich Sub still active? There used to be a lot of plow activity on that sub due to the huge lake-effect snow dumps.
They run there 5 days a week to the salt mine and service a number of customers along the line.

GEXR ran their plow on the same day as the OSR. Trains on the Goderich sub run Monday - Thursday, heading down to Exeter typically on Wednesdays.

That squirrel was moving pretty quick at 1:35 :-)
Yes, pretty quick indeed, for a critter that should be in hibernation.

For sure
Run squirrel, run. 1:35.
