- Video of Ontario Southland Railway snowplow run. Video was taken at Mossley Road Putnam Ontario. This is the sixth run of the snowplow this year and winter is not over. CP plow 401005 OSR 175 ex Chessie and OSR 378 ex SOO
That's pretty cool. Almost makes me hope for a lot of snow this winter so scenes like this would become more commonplace. Almost.
The engines are run normally from the cab following instructions from the snow plow. There were many spots where there were drifts but most of the roads were ice covered and pretty hard to chase. You really had to pick your spot and wait for them to come by.
The way this winter is going they may not run at all this year but it isn't over yet. :-)
Great video, but I got a chuckle from your comment "sixth run of the snowplow this year and winter is not over." Snowplows up here in the north (Sault Ste Marie) run whenever there's a significant snowfall -- could be a couple or three times a week, at times.
Is that Sault Saint Marie Michigan or Canada

Snow plow crew do tell the crew wht they want but no direct control.
Video is fantastic! Sound sucks! How come you people don't use mufflers on your mics? Get rid of that wind noise!!
Strange over fifty six thousand people have watched the video and you are the first one to complain about the sound. It adds to the realism and lets the viewer know how cold it was. :-)
