I'm not talking about baby nursery decor or posh baby booties they only wear once for pictures, I mean the newborn essentials. My wife is 34 weeks and 1 day pregnant. I was diagnosed with testicular cancer causing infertility issues. We went through three rounds of IVF and received 2 embryos. This was our last embryo and our last chance at having a bilogical baby of our own. It worked and here we are. We are so blessed and your videos I watch every week on Friday! I’m 2 years late but I wanted to add. Make sure you have a baby seat or baby rocker that you can bring to the bathroom with you. You can go number 2 or take a shower and not worry that your baby is crying in the bedroom all by themselves. It’s life saving. Trust me

Don’t worry too much momma! You’ll do just fine. Baby needs the basics and all the love he can get . You’ll realize what you truly need as time passes I promise there is always one more thing that can be purchased but at the end of the day you’ll realize most of these things are nice-to-haves not must-haves . May I ask, had you stared to use the traditional method of shortening birth for baby, and avoiding tearing and episiotomy for mum, painless, gradual 'Birth Canal Widening' to 10cm diameter achieved prior to the start of birth (Wikipedia English 'Perineal Massage') or Aniball device? 'Mums Independent' on Facebook and my four 'Birth explained...' videos on my RUclips channel (with fun poems for kids and 'Custard making made fun for children' which promotes Shakespeare) go into more detail. Thank you: for your reply, for sharing and helping to keep antibiotics working in to the future.

Today I’ve been told I’m showing at 34-35 weeks along instead of the 32-33 weeks I had been measured at. The doc told me I can expect baby to pop by the end of this month at the soonest and I’m both nervous and excited! Thanks for this, it came at a valuable time!

Hello, I'm 21 weeks pregnant with baby #4. Located in Phoenix, AZ. I've been watching all your videos since I found out I was pregnant. It has been very useful and even with this being my 4th pregnancy, I learn something new every time that I didn't know with my previous pregnancies. So I found on on August 21st, 2023 that I have a baby boy due on September 28th, 2023!! Long story short, was told I couldn’t have children due to PCOS, was on birth control. I didn’t recognize symptoms because I don’t have a gallbladder.. I thought I was just having stomach problems oh my! This baby is definitely a miracle and something I didn’t know I wanted so badly, but not much time to prepare. Luckily I have a great support system! I’ve enjoyed watching your videos!

Here I was watching the 36 weeks update and this video trying to prepare for my baby girl.... when my water broke in the middle of the night. The day of I saw my ob who happened to give me his personal number just in case. He was heaven sent!
This video describes perfectly everything you need to prepare. Unfortunately I had no time since my baby was a month early. These videos have been a life safer through out my pregnancy.

Hi there from the US and currently 24 wks - love you videos as a first time mom to be! Just wanted to mention my experience with maternity leave. The FMLA is only applicable to larger companies with 50+ employees at one location. So it doesn't apply to me and many others as I work in a smaller office with 40 or so ppl. Luckily my employer is great and we have short term disability for 8 wks and willing to do work from home for a few months.
I just wanted to put it out there that FMLA doesn't apply to everyone and you should have the conversation with your employer so they may be more willing to work with you on a plan. 🙂

Thank you Diana! Great video! I recognise a lot of what you say. Our first little boy was born 10 months ago and we are planning when he is 1 year old to try for a second little one. I wish I was a little more prepared emotionally, but when all the practical things are prepared, it definitely helps!
Had you used Aniball or the traditional method mentioned on 'Mums Independent' on Facebook - 'Birth Canal Widening' to 10cm with finger tips, to shorten birth and avoid tearing?
I've had 3 children and currently pregnant with my 4th. One thing I would always consider a must have is a Bumbo seat. It has been a life saver for me.

Recently surprised to learn I was nearly 13 weeks with first (yeah, I really wasn't paying attention, having assumed after many years that I was infertile) and whilst excited, hubby and I both feel clueless and unprepared. I’m 14 weeks along. This is my second baby, third pregnancy. My first child is almost 7, so I definitely need a refresher on all of it! My second pregnancy ended in a loss at almost 12 weeks, so now I’m ready to start getting ready for baby, since I’m more comfortable now that we are in a safer zone (second trimester).
Wow, my story is so similar, waiting for my second baby, my first is almost 7, my second pregnancy miscarriage at 12 weeks!! Just I'm now at week 25.. wishing you a full-term healthy baby!!

Well done on reaching so far. May I ask, do you know how to totally avoid episiotomy? Do you have access to Aniball in your country? 8 weeks pregnant with our first baby. I like to be prepared. But I also live in Germany, so I can choose a hospital and pediatrician freely, just hope the one closest still takes patients and my maternity leave is paid for up to the third birthday.
