Hey you guys should an episode of the new 7.3L Godzilla V8 that Ford is making for the 2020 Ford Super Duty.
RUclips analytics is nice. You can see the exact moment I decided this was a tool ad rather than engine build and left @2:16.
The Matco commercial ends at 10:10.
10:00 in for the real content.
Thank you.
striknein what he said
striknein thanks man
I liked the tools
The Lord's work my son.
Came for the Windsor mods, left wanting the soldering tool.😂😂😂
Me too!!
Right...... Weird how that thing just makes sense.
I actually bought one of thoses soldering tools about a hr ago from matco and its one of the best tools in my box!
I wanted it also... till I seen the price!!
Same
Long live the Windsor!
It's crazy now when i look at Mike, I've literally watched him grow older every Sunday...I still remember his first appearance.
Me too. The new look required a second look seeing as they change people so oft. I thought Mike went the way of so many others. Was happy to realize it was Mike
and now he's gone...
Yea time flies.
A single plane and solid roller will make more power but that also means more maintenance and a softer bottom end, requiring a ring and pinion change = worse fuel economy. This is where boost makes everything better. Yeah a Whipple cost more than a cam and intake change but starting off with a 500+ hp engine a fairly small increase in positive manifold pressure would make nearly four digit power.
I've got a 89 Bronco XLT that needs that engine. Beautiful build guys.
A disabled Veteran can't afford dream powerful equipment like that engine, however it's sure nice to see it.
Where is the video
6.0 vs 351w?
Windsors rock!
13:20 The name of the intake is Trick Flow. This video is a Trick Flow. If that carb can flow 900 cfm. That intake can too.
I love this Show🇵🇷
Pat was pretty cool already but finding out he's a Rush fan, much respect.
Rush is smarter than you and they want you to know it.
I would have liked to see a pull with a 1.6 rocker arm ratio. I have seen many times hi RPM stability gets worse by installing hi ratio rockers. It may be possible why the motor peaks early in RPM. Open spring pressure seems a little low just another thought. 🤔 Thank you for the test.
outstanding!!!
That goes to show you the majority of 351w parts are just wider 302 pieces. Good info for carb sizing and planning info.
Jason Line was reading from the Topolinski playbook. 3 time champion because of Pat.
I love that he travels with all his pens and writing utensils lol
I love how you guys switch between lines , one guy works while the other guy talks & when you’re done talking get back to work .. amazing
It’s called a script. 😉
@@danmyers9372
it’s exceptionally well done 👍
I have a Windsor 427 just ready to build. Need to save up some more pennies.
@12:44 HELL YEAH BROTHER!!!
ilove you guys.good job.💪👍💯❤️👽
Excellent power per Cube now.
I would love to see a off road ford 400m build which is basically a stroked Cleveland. For offroad big block reliable 300 hp to the ground 4 wheel drive, like in my 1979 ford Bronco.
Can y’all do a budget build 351w rebuild and recommend a good towing cam for a truck?
That engine would be nice in my 72 F100 👍👍
Got a 302 in my 73 right now but I'm planning on a 460 rebuild to put in eventually
That new early NASCAR spec.s cam they installed will barely want to run below 4,000 RPMs...
I told my Marco dealer I'm not interested in that 6s untill they illuminate the color logos.
What do mean " hate doing ball joints" on gm trucks it pays almost seven hours and takes one hour to do at a normal pace. Plus you tack on a alignment then go home . I love doing suspension work. That's how mechanics make money.
Matco make the best box you can buy, in my opinion. However, they're starting to make a lot of their tools in Taiwan. Same sort of thing Craftsman did before they started tanking.
And that ugly green led and logo🤢🤮🙄
@@cameronb76 - Yeah, I'm not wild about those colors either. My 24-year-old Matco box is just black and chrome.
A couple of weeks ago I was working on my brakes, broke a brand new Snap-on socket. I was disappointed. I I used to be a firm believer in Snap-on hand tools. Hand tool quality is sinking into the toilet these days.
Your upgrades for "BIG POWER" have got to be the most EXPENSIVE power I've ever seen !!
An intake swap is the most expensive power your ever seen?
Hi guys i have a GEN 1 f150 lightning 351 w everyone tells me the factory block is not good enough for boost as they have a habit of cracking using a blower what amount of boost is safe with the factory block or forget it and get an aftermarket block.
That's a lot of spring pressure on that cast iron street roller camshaft
And how do you know its cast and not billet.
@@maximusvonce1381 I saw it. Look at it when he's sliding it in the block. Cast iron
@cv 67 I agree
10:00 I just remembered why I was watching this commercial!
Does increasing power reduces the engine longevity?? Ultimately engine blocks should be able to withstand the extra power .. will it and how long ???
Can you check how the intake manifold works for the Holley Sniper EFI carburetor?
351w for the win
u should also reinfores the frame on that dakato
I could never go to that Matco show. I would want everything.
Rush!!! 🤘🏻🎸
Love the Tape measure Pat.
And the pocket protector.....
@@danhambrick6331 Hey Dan,Pocket protector is par for the course but the tape dropped me .haha
On my 351w engine build,i used an edlebrock airgap intake manifold, it works great, just a FYI, thanks
what kinda hp you pushing.
@@thomasthompson4999 1045hp
Now it's ready to drop in my truck right
What was the valve spring removal tool that you used?
I believe that is a Lisle tool. Don't forget the air in the chamber to keep the valve up or you'll be sorry.
Would love to see ya'll test a set of kasse p38 heads on this motor
Sadly, they'd be rare to find. Kaase is no longer producing P-38 SBF parts.
@@joespeed1952 sadly indeed. Ive been looking lol
Jason Line has the personality of a dial tone.
I would like to see them swap twisted wedge heads on this engine and see if it makes more power.
Curious if a shorter LSA bumps power up
Do you think exhaust duration on cam is more than intake. I was taught a percentage of intake duration which makes it less because exhaust pressure or exhaust is power stroke cycle to jobs in one. So pressures all ready in motion though mechanical motion and interia and expansion of compressed charge let's throw a bit off kinetics for good measure yes there's more factors especially overlap ect anyway cut to end less exhaust duration gives a cleaner intake charge or a better ratio of incoming mix to a lit charge equals more efficiently = more power.thats just what I was taught what you think.
Trick flow top end kit with eagle assembly . 442 hp. Stock.
Not all tools are equal. I've been a Beta tools man for 30+ years. Still have some of the first sets that I bought. The newer stuff though is chinezium
I like my Thorsen USA tools from Bargain City in the 1960's ! Too bad the junkies got 1/2 of them... and later all the rest...
Jason (Buick ) line! Thanks
Yeah buddy
also on that hemi in dodge dakato1995 it has to have a 1000 horse power at rear wheels
antron brown is from my home town, went to my college
I would like to see what a head change would do using AFR 220 Renegade heads, What's impressive is your using an OEM Block and not a Dart block, I would like to buy that engine if your selling it.
Boost it
I didn't notice you guys checking the piston to valve clearance when you went to the larger cam. .669" of lift would seem to be close.
70 - 80% of the new tools look like colorful, fun fluff. I like the tool chest green light to let all my co-workers know I’m serious.
God, Engine Power is such a good show.
No bullshit, all tech. The way it should be!
So....what's your Superflow correction #? What are the uncorrected #?
This might just be me but I wanna see you guys build a rotary engine
Please have the intake ported and rerun the test. I'm welling to bet more power is added.
What EFI system would work on this build?
I want my 75 Ford e150 shorty get a engine like this :)
I would like to buy an engine like this one, how can?
greetings to all a question the friend always loads the syne of measuring
10:10 is were the stuff for engine begins
I wish I had a car with this engine ❤️
Sounds awesome brother.
Sale that shitty non-American made Audi and buy one lol.
Ill stick with DeWalt, I've got some I've had for 20years. Left them out in the rain , dropped them and they still work
Milwaukee offers a ton more tools for automotive technicians. I made the switch about 2 years ago when I noticed that Dewalt did not offer half of the tools I was looking for since DeWalt is more focused on home improvement/ contractors.
Dewalt power tools have fell off the bad end, I returned 3 consecutive drills for excessive chuck runout, I mean really bad runout. Switched to Milwaukee and never looked back
I want to know how much the total build cost
I’d buy a Milwaukee or Dewalt cordless tool before I bought a Matco cordless tool. Also I’ve never heard of kuhnipex, I have heard of Knipex.
It is actually pronounced kuh nip ex. Knipex released a video on how it's pronounced.
I don't have a MATCO guy in my area and years ago I had a MATCO guy rip me off. I don't do MATCO anymore.
David Collis Milwaukee tools
I have an off the wall question: Have you guys ever had an engine blow up while it was on the dyno? And if so how bad?
I was watching one when the Chevy they were working on went south. Didn't blow but did spray some oil. Can't remember what exactly went wrong though, sorry. I watch way too many vids like this so I just remember it happening. I think it was the engine that they put the blower on and then were building for one of the other shows, Trucks maybe?
I am a hydraulic roller camshaft sort of guy, for the street. Nice build though.Love ya work lads.
Hydraulic will never match throttle no response or horsepower of a solid roller
@@maximusvonce1381 The issue is, solid rollers dont seem to live long on the street. just my two cents.
@@1080sucks Get a tight lash street solid roller, not a drag roller. Street rollers designed to last on street. Comp Cams sells them.
a 10 minute ad, then a youtube ad. Bugger off.
I just want a good Matco dealer to visit our shop
Early squad reporting for duty
If you want to skip the Matco bs jump to 9:55
Has anybody used the solid roller cam used in this 351w and if so did you make 600HP?
That's a stroked 351, it's 408ci
Wonder why the cam didn't really change where peak hp was found in the rpm range. I expected it to push the hp up to close to 7k. Thoughts?
it wasn't a hotter cam, it was just a better cam and increased the dynamic compression ratio so torque was increased basically everywhere. an overlay and a longer rpm sweep would have been nice to see the actual differences between the two.
11:05 I wonder what the post Air Flow and Hg is ?
funny how they always leave that info out after he swap
Briggs n Stratton? Absolutely....lol...
16:25 That thing sounds pissed off.
How much for that engine?
11:00 of foo-foo tool boxes.....
Side note, right stuff is not silicone, it’s urethane. That’s why it actually works.
Really 10 minute ad?
Hey Pat, Do you have a Pen I can Borrow?
Pat doesn't loan pens.
That man knows how to run a bead.
A power band of 1500 to 3800 rpm for true daily offroad driving with reliability.
Looks like Amish Mike is adding royal purple to his hair
Big power if you drive flat out, wide open throttle all the time in your daily driver. Lol
I'm doing a 351 with a small cam. Afr 165 heads. DP intake and efi.
The things going to make stupid torq from 1600-4500 rpms. Should be fun in my 67 fastback with a 5spd :)
Unless you’re gonna race it. You’d be much better off, and produce more average TQ & HP with the hydraulic cam and dual plane configuration.
Too great of a compromise in drivability and usable power just to have that extra power from 5500 to 7000
Yea. That was pretty much a race only motor with that intake. There terrible on street. I had one on a cleveland. What I have now is a dual plane with the center divider removed. Best of both worlds.
poor drivability of a single plane is a myth, you just need the right combination of parts and knowhow to have a streetable single plane. But the power band of the dual does make for a better street engine
@@supersevenn Not a myth. Maybe you missed the part where I said I HAD ONE ON MINE.
I experienced the difference. I am not repeating myth. I am sharing experience!
Learn the difference.
#countryboycansurvive right you’re sharing YOUR experience..just because YOU can not deal with “drivability” does not mean it’s not a “myth”
@@eriv4735 epic fail on your part. That was some serious stretching you just did. Hope you didn't hurt your self.
Skip to 10:00 for engine things.
This is when you guys should be the comparison between a windsor and a cleveland, both 408 what is compression of this engine,i have just completed a 408 clevo with 11.5 comp with the crane solid roller TR262 with chi 225 with the chi manifold and AED 950 IT dynoed up 655 hp at 7200 rpm ,engine builder said if i had put his spec custom cam it would of made over 700,he didnt have a super sucker space plate,he tought it would make 680 with one
Yea but if you go with drag cams on the street your valvetrain wont last long. Need a comp cams street roller like my xr292r street solid roller

Your voiceover guy sounds like Ken Kaniff from Connecticut...
Sounds like Cheap whiskey and cigars for 40 years kind of voice.
I didn't like the video because (for me) the like counter was at 351. I thought that was rather ironic considering the subject matter of the video!
