I quite enjoyed Breakout. It's mostly a pretty chill fun movie, but then near the end it has one of the most shocking moments of violence I've seen in awhile. haha What a ride!
I know what scene you’re talking about🤣 I’d gotten Breakout on Blu Ray last year, and I’d only seen it edited for tv before then, and when that thing happened I out loud said “Holy Shit!”
Good to hear! I've only seen Pitch Black so far... I've never seen the others in the trilogy. I'm planning a marathon for the trilogy once Riddick comes out on 4K. Looking forward to it.
Oh that's great to hear... I'm getting more and more excited to see it the more I read these comments LOL! I'm definitely gonna have to pop it in soon.
Fuzz you have been busy adding more movies to your collection. Love it. Jack Lemmon is great in The China Syndrome. Excellent film. Invasion U.S.A. one of those films that is so bad it's good! Goodfellas a must own for your collection. Glad to see you finally pull the trigger on that one. I saw Trap in the theater. Not M. Night's best by any means but I actually liked it especially the 2nd half of the movie after the concert. Didn't see it coming.
Yeah I ended up adding quite a bit to the collection during this cycle... more than I realized even. And this list doesn't even include all the horror pickups from Oct.! LOL! Anyway, yeah that's what I like about M. Night's films... he's always crafting some cool little mystery or throwing in fun little twists. I like to go into his films knowing as little about them as possible, and just experiencing the journey. They're maybe not always as re-watchable as other types of movies, but his movies always seem to entertain and intrigue me. There are still a few of his films I've not seen yet, but otherwise, I think I have most of his movies in my collection. Thanks for watching and chiming in! I always appreciate it.
Cool! I plan to watch it in the next few days. Everyone is raving about it, so now I'm really kicking myself for waiting so long to pick it up (especially being such a big Denzel as I am). Lol!
Yes, Josh took time out for acting for years, so it looks like he is back doing some films. He did the Penny dreadful series several years ago, which was not too bad.
Yeah it definitely feels like I've not seen Hartnett in anything in a while. It was cool to see him in the M Night film. I think he's a solid actor overall. He was amazing in Wicker Park. Thanks for watching!
Yeah I think he got fed up of the heartthrob status/roles and moved to England and retired. He came back recently doing a couple of Guy Ritchie films which are on Amazon prime and has since started coming back into the mainstream. Good to see him back!
Hey fuzz, looks like you got some great movies there, book of Eli is a very under appreciated Denzel film. One of my favorites when it came out. Kinda reminded me of the Fallout games. Love goodfellas and Copland of course. Godzilla minus one is soo good I’ve watched it many times already. For me, menace to society is a really good movie but also a tough one to watch, but I feel there’s always something that I didn’t catch previously when I watch it again. You’ll love the 4K of chronicles of Riddick. Arrow did a fantastic job with it. I can’t wait till my riddick 4k comes in so I can have a riddick marathon with pitch black, chronicles and riddick. Love your passion with all your films. Thankyou my friend
Hi Jorden! Yeah I'm excited to check out Chronicles of Riddick, and I also have Riddick pre-ordered. I figured I would do the same thing once Riddick came out on 4K... I'm gonna do a marathon too. So far, I've only seen Pitch Black. I've never seen the other two, and I know they had a lot higher budget for Chronicles, so I'm curious to see what they did with it. As for Book of Eli, yeah the consensus here in comments definitely seems to be strongly in favor of that film. I'm going to watch it probably sometime this week. The trailer I watched looked good. I probably should've checked it out a long time ago LOL! Thanks for watching and chiming in with your thoughts, my friend. Always great to hear from you! I'm glad to hear the passion I feel for this stuff comes through.
I need to pick up The Hunted. I'm pretty sure I would like it. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed Stone Cold. I love that movie so much. The cheese factor is almost off the charts in that one, but I still think it works. Great haul! Thanks for sharing.
Hi Steve! Yeah The Hunted was a solid film. If you like William Friedkin's other films, you'll probably dig it. Good looking 4K too. Lots of natural locations that look great on the format. And yes, Stone Cold was a ton of fun -- totally cheesy, but totally worth it LMAO!! I always enjoy some good 80s/90s/ action cheese, so Stone Cold turned out to be right up my alley. Thanks for watching and chiming in... Great to hear from you!
It was both fun and hilarious - LMAO!! I really had a great time with it. I love cheesy 80s/90s action flicks like that. Bosworth is pretty bad, but I still got a kick out of the flick. And I almost didn't even recognize Lance Henriksen at first, in his biker getup. Took me a few minutes to realize it was Lance LOL! But yeah, I'm glad I picked it up. Thanks for watching and dropping a comment!
My favorite Bronson movies are: Breakout, Mr Majestyk & Hard Times; so you're in for a treat. I have The Hunted KL Blu-ray coming. I have the Paramount DVD. The previous German Blu-ray has so so picture quality. The KL is getting great reviews, here's hoping, cheers!
Oh yeah, I don't think you'll be disappointed in The Hunted on 4K. It's a very good looking image, as we'd expect from Kino. The natural locations in the film really lend themselves well to the format. Easily the best the film has ever looked. Thanks for the tips on the other Bronson films. I'll have to pick up Mr. Majestyk and Hard Times too. Looking forward to seeing Breakout now... it's sounds like my kind of jam. Thanks for watching and commenting!
cant believe you havent seen Book of Eli! its got a cool message/theme and its one of those films that *absolutely* warrants and rewards rewatches. If you haven't already pick up Inside Man as well, great Denzel film!
I do have Inside Man on blu -- I agree, that's a good one! I'm always a sucker for a great heist flick.😉 But yeah, I'm kind of surprised it took me this long to get around to Eli considering what a huge Denzel fan I am. I don't know what I was thinking! LMAO!🤣 I'll definitely be digging into it soon. Thanks for watching and thanks for your input on this!
That's a solid haul Fuzz. Love the Book of Eli; just an excellent movie! I really need to see Glengarry, some of my buddies quote that film all the time, lol. I also recently picked up Breakout and Minus one, but I haven't watched either yet. One BR I did get recently that I would recommend is The Missing (Tommy Lee Jones film)
Very cool! I think I may have seen The Missing years ago, but I don't remember it very well. I do like Tommy Lee Jones though, so I may have to check that out. Yes Glengarry is a great film with some very quotable moments in it. Jack Lemmon is fantastic in it. And the Alec Baldwin scene is classic stuff (that scene is where most of the quotes come from LOL!). Thanks for watching and chiming in! Appreciate it!
That's awesome to hear! Thanks for the tip. That actually can make a bit of a difference for me. I like dark films... but I prefer it when they have the "good" endings lol. I'll definitely be watching this soon.
Thanks Stuart! Oh you'll like Inside Man... that's a great film! Good heist flick, with a bit of a twist. Probably my favorite Spike Lee film (and out of character somewhat for Spike Lee -- not your typical Spike movie). I'll be curious to hear what you think of it. Thanks for watching my friend!
I remember not liking book of Eli despite being a huge Gary Oldman fan (you NEED to watch Slow Horses!) and Denzel fan also! I may have to revisit it again. True what you say about movies shot on actual film. I’ve been feeling this more and more recently. I rarely warm to these immaculate looking digital film. Just last week I went to a late night showing of Die Hard at my local theatre and thought it looked fantastic. I’m confident it was from the 4k scan and although it’s a digital projector likely at 1080p I felt it looked just like it should. Best time I’ve had at the cinema this year and I’ve seen it a least a dozen times!
Very cool! That must've been awesome seeing Die Hard again in the theater. I didn't even realize it was showing in theaters again, or I might've gone to see it myself. You just can't go wrong with classic filmmaking like that! Thanks for watching and weighing in!
Hey fuzz! Hope you and the family had a great thanksgiving! Man…Book of Eli is SUCH a great film. I’m a sucker for post apocalyptic or dystopian futures. Mia Kunitz is pretty hot in this too…always was a crush of mine. The ending of it is quite a twist and will leave you wanting to rewatch. There is a lot of truth in the messaging of the film I think when it comes to “power and control.” That’s where I’ll leave it - once you check it out you’ll have to let me know your opinion.
Hi Ken! Great to hear from you brother. I hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving as well. the more I hear about Book of Eli, the more excited I'm getting to watch it. I always love a good twist, and I agree, dystopian futuristic films are my jam too. I always enjoy a good post-apocalyptic story. So far in comments, the verdict seems to be unanimous about Book of Eli. Everyone is saying it's a killer film. So I'll be watching it probably sometime this weekend. I'll be sure to get back to you once I do and let you know what I thought. Thanks for watching my friend!
Oh very cool! I didn't even know there was a box set for Glengarry. Nice! It really is such a well-done film. the aesthetics and visual feel of the film is beautiful. And quality acting too.
Great video Fuzz! The original Predator has a special place in my heart. I snuck into the movie theater under age to watch it lol Prey is the better movie! I've never picked it up because it's always on Hulu. If you get a chance let me know what you think of the transfer? Thanks buddy!
Yeah I will definitely let you know Paul. I've heard great things about Prey. It's hard to imagine it topping the original, but I remember everyone raving about it when it first came out. Looking forward to checking it out when I can. Damn, my watch list is getting massive LMAO! Anyway, thanks for watching and weighing in!. Always appreciate it!
@@TheOriginalFuzz Another good one! I don't think it won any Oscars that year, but it did get several nominations. Meryl Streep was great, of course, and so was Kurt Russell and Cher - in fact, Cher won the Golden Globe award for best actress for it. Don't know if you've already talked about the Kino release, but if you haven't, that might be one for future content.
Sometimes you spend too much time talking about blu-rays you bought I saw earlier on itvx that Hunted is there to stream, also showing Star Wars eps 4, 5 and 6 but not the prequels, have much more than iplayer .
Bizarre criticism. Talking about the blu-rays I bought is the whole point of a collection update video. That's why it's called a "collection update." I think it's reasonable to expect that a physical media discussion channel is going to routinely discuss new physical media pickups.
I quite enjoyed Breakout. It's mostly a pretty chill fun movie, but then near the end it has one of the most shocking moments of violence I've seen in awhile. haha What a ride!
Oh wow now I'm even more intrigued by this film lol! I'll definitely have to pop it in soon. Thanks for watching Daniel! Great to hear from you!
I know what scene you’re talking about🤣 I’d gotten Breakout on Blu Ray last year, and I’d only seen it edited for tv before then, and when that thing happened I out loud said “Holy Shit!”
Oh you must watch Book of Eli,now, tonight, don’t wait another minute…😊
I love the Riddick movies. You will enjoy them. Book of Eli is interesting.
Good to hear! I've only seen Pitch Black so far... I've never seen the others in the trilogy. I'm planning a marathon for the trilogy once Riddick comes out on 4K. Looking forward to it.
I love Book of Eli. Huge twist that I never saw coming. I wouldn't call it dark. I call it post-apocalyptic
Oh that's great to hear... I'm getting more and more excited to see it the more I read these comments LOL! I'm definitely gonna have to pop it in soon.

The Book of Eli is one of Denzel’s most underrated movies. It can be a bit dark, but ultimately, I think, it’s a hopeful uplifting movie
Cool! I plan to watch it in the next few days. Everyone is raving about it, so now I'm really kicking myself for waiting so long to pick it up (especially being such a big Denzel as I am). Lol!

Nice lot of new films enjoy

You're really gonna enjoy the book of ELI!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stone Cold, such a peak 80s action movie but came out in 1991. Had to go rewatch after you mentioned it. The best- bad- cheese 👍
It was both fun and hilarious - LMAO!! I really had a great time with it. I love cheesy 80s/90s action flicks like that. Bosworth is pretty bad, but I still got a kick out of the flick. Thanks man, it was a killer concert! One of the best we saw last year. I love Tears for Fears!
Book of Eli is solid.
It definitely has a good ending which makes up for some of the films darkness.
Not too dark though.
That's awesome to hear! Thanks for the tip. That actually can make a bit of a difference for me. I like dark films... but I prefer it when they have the "good" endings lol. I'll definitely be watching this soon.

Prey = awesome 4k transfer, good prequel to the original, but NOT better than the original.
Heh, who doesn't like nuclear power plant dramas? ;)
My thinking exactly! I was also a big fan of Silkwood back in the day.
