I have my own version of street man, saw him all the time, my mum was even with me one time and said he was looking at me. One day I stopped seeing him on my daily commute. A year and a bit later he popped up on Bumble and I knew straight away it was him. That was in 2018 and we’re getting married next year :)

I had 2 similar situations: 1. Once my siblings and cousins were out eating lunch and telling each other all these crazy stories and cracking each other up--and I noticed this super cute guy in the booth next to us (alone) who was sitting there grinning to himself, obviously eavesdropping. When we got up to leave, I went to his table and said, "Well, I hope we kept you entertained!" Turns out he worked in the same building I did and we eventually went for a drink. I was so excited, but it turns out he was kind of a jerk. It went nowhere. BUT 2. I met this guy by pure chance, went to pick up something I'd bought and he was helping the seller lift heavy stuff. He gave me his # (which impressed me--as opposed to asking for my #. This was before social media.) I went home and stared at the number. My best friend and I had this schtick where we'd say "nobody good ever likes me." And I thought, if I chicken out and do not call this guy I have NO RIGHT to whine or complain for the rest of my life, bc here is MY CHANCE. JUST DO IT. I could feel that something was different. So I called him. And long story short, we've now been married for 15 years. The way I felt that night, so excited but scared to death, is exactly how you're feeling in this video...

Before meeting my husband through a dating app, I went on many dates from different dating apps. What helped me was to have the mindset that I may be meeting a potential friend or just practicing being wholly myself boundaries and all. It made it really easy to walk away from what didn't feel great, and I ended up learning a lot about myself and how I relate to others. After about 100 bad first dates that made it easier to be myself and walk away, I finally met my husband. I still approached the date as I was only looking to see how I related to him by being myself, but this time, it was healthy, easy, and refreshing. Don't put any pressure on yourself, him, or the date. Just look at it as another opportunity to practice relating to others, and you'll know if it feels like too much work or feels very natural and easy going. Most importantly, have fun.
I too confide in my pony tail when my anxiety meets my adrenaline. My hair has been through it with me, it knows me, it alone can quell the madness. Also the end of this vlog hits. That feeling is paralyzing!

I had 2 similar situations: 1. Once my siblings and cousins were out eating lunch and telling each other all these crazy stories and cracking each other up--and I noticed this super cute guy in the booth next to us (alone) who was sitting there grinning to himself, obviously eavesdropping. When we got up to leave, I went to his table and said, "Well, I hope we kept you entertained!" Turns out he worked in the same building I did and we eventually went for a drink. I was so excited, but it turns out he was kind of a jerk. It went nowhere. BUT 2. I met this guy by pure chance, went to pick up something I'd bought and he was helping the seller lift heavy stuff. He gave me his # (which impressed me--as opposed to asking for my #. This was before social media.) I went home and stared at the number. My best friend and I had this schtick where we'd say "nobody good ever likes me." And I thought, if I chicken out and do not call this guy I have NO RIGHT to whine or complain for the rest of my life, bc here is MY CHANCE. JUST DO IT. I could feel that something was different. So I called him. And long story short, we've now been married for 15 years. The way I felt that night, so excited but scared to death, is exactly how you're feeling in this video...

This situation of having such deep concern for someone we know just from RUclips reminds me of the days when I watched General Hospital many years ago. An older woman in the story was hospitalized for many months and I found out she died "on the show" the day I wasn't home. My husband couldn't believe how upset I was that I missed "her dying", so he told me I could send her a condolence card!!! I tried to explain our relationship but he just wouldn't get it. (LOL)

Before meeting my husband through a dating app, I went on many dates from different dating apps. What helped me was to have the mindset that I may be meeting a potential friend or just practicing being wholly myself boundaries and all. It made it really easy to walk away from what didn't feel great, and I ended up learning a lot about myself and how I relate to others. After about 100 bad first dates that made it easier to be myself and walk away, I finally met my husband. I still approached the date as I was only looking to see how I related to him by being myself, but this time, it was healthy, easy, and refreshing.
Don't put any pressure on yourself, him, or the date. Just look at it as another opportunity to practice relating to others, and you'll know if it feels like too much work or feels very natural and easy going. Most importantly, have fun.
