I own 4 bags from Polene, the first one I bought around 3 years ago, all of them are in great condition and were delivered in without any issues, yet I am disappointed hearing now how they treat criticism - don’t think will be buying another bag from them soon. Thank you for opening my eyes.

I've seen other people having a good experience with the brand as well. I'm really happy for everyone who didn't have a problem. But you're right. Dealing with criticism is important in the way a brand presents itself. This was not the right way...

Why would you be disappointed in hearing about some other experiences if yours had been good not once but 4 times?!? I've had good experiences over the years with 5 bags and these posts basically just inform me there are some issues but different to everything in the world and am not influenced by some opinion when I have my own facts. Stay objective.

That's so sad though. They COULD HAVE been a strong brand for year and years to come. Why trade that for greed in the moment? I myself wanted one and had been just about to buy one when rumors started to swirl about the poor customer service and scammy behavior. Then they hiked the prices and lowered the quality. So unfortunate!
Kinda wish I would have got one when I first heard about them. I am so grateful to this creator and others for saving me the heartache of a bad purchase.

My sister purchased the Polene numero 1 many years ago. She was so happy about it, took a very nice picture (it was just the bag with some nice background), posted it on Instagram and tagged them. A couple of minutes later, they removed the tag so the picture wouldnt appear on their tagged wall (so it’s not even like it was on their official wall). I guess it wasnt curated enough or not coming from bougie influencers. We thought that was very demeaning and belittling, like them choosing what kind of people they want their bag to be seen with and… you’re not (but thanks for the money).

I am French and think they are overrated in terms of pricing vs quality. it's all gone to their heads and trying to squeeze as much money frrm consumers as possible. There you go, now their attitude towards you sealed the deal for me....they should have followed you like a shaddow and gifted you something to show real customer service but instead they created more drama.

Wow! Good for you for standing up for your rights as a content creator! And I am very pleasantly surprised that RUclips backed you up. Excellent.
A Polene bag was, and to a degree still is, on my wishlist. But the mid-priced luxury handbag market appears to be getting cutthroat. As consumers balk at the ridiculous prices for luxury handbags, many of them, myself including, are taking a close look at mid-priced luxury brands. So instead of addressing these quality and customer service issues to strengthen their brand’s reputation, it looks like Polene is looking to squash the negative press they’re getting. Bad move.
At this point the only way I would purchase a Polene bag is from an actual brick and mortar store of theirs, where I can physically inspect the quality and craftsmanship of the bag. Quality issues happen, but when you don’t have the customer service to respond and rectify these issues, that is a huge red flag for any brand.
Keep up the good work! You have my support.

  • @roselynmvm

I would say, I could care less about Polene as a brand, but I’m still confused as to WHY the negative videos were made in the first place if there wasn’t a personal issue with any of the products you owned from the brand. I mean, how do you know for sure others are telling the truth if it isn’t your own experience?? Or at least experiences from people you know like friends and family. I find that weird. Most videos/reviews in RUclips are from personal perspective. Doing negative videos for views (cause let’s be honest, that was probably the primary motive) without solid proof is a bit shady and can ruin a company’s hard work and reputation. Of course, if the company is not in the wrong it could be very damaging, and if they’re in the wrong, then they would probably deserve it.
But why be the person to make light of it without knowing for sure?
My personal opinion is that those videos should have come from a true negative and personal experience and not because you found a point to exploit for your own gain. If anything, you could have connected with others and share their experiences with names and pictures, you know, with real proof.
Polene shouldn’t have ask RUclips to remove your content, but you ALSO shouldn’t be making negative videos without solid proof. If it was a death or life situation and you were helping others, sure, but for views?! Nah. You all seem to be in the wrong in this situation 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thank you for sharing your honest perspective and your experience of Polene. I really wanted one of their bags but there is NO WAY I am giving my hard earned money to a brand that is mistreating customer who raise concerns about the quality of the product and the service.
I have been following their story from the beginning and had finally saved up for a bag but after reading many many many reviews that say the quality have decreased (despite the price increase) I am no longer interested. Then I start seeing videos and reviews that talk about the gross mistreatment of customers. NO! I hope they improve soon and do better. Sad story.

Cardinal rule of sales: never antagonise a customer, but esp. never one with a platform. Extremely shoddy relationship management by Polene.
I was seriously considering buying a few bags from their Paris store in June and made a list, but upon seeing your video, absolutely not. From the photos I think some of the material isn’t even genuine leather, as real leather has a distinct appearance where it is stitched. Otherwise, it is an extremely cheap grade if genuine.

It could be from anyone who dislike you, your videos, the content of your videos, anything. Depending on who your YT representative is, they will either be fair or… not. Those who want your videos removed, channels demonetized or even deleted, are fighting against freedom of speech (1st amendment in America). Since they can’t to that (at this point at least), they find another way and that’s via copyright infringement even though that content is in the public domain.
