We are so so so beyond grateful for all the support this video is receiving!! 🥹❤️
It’s always a futile effort to capture the essence of a place, particularly the magic of somewhere like Chile, but to have Chileans themselves say we did a good job in this one is so exciting and humbling and makes us proud. Thank you so much 🙏
But we can’t really take credit when Chile is such an easy place to get beautiful videos of lol 😂
Cheers friends to this big, spectacular, wondrous planet we all share. See you out there 🌎🫡

now its not the chile from the 90,s or 2000,s the country whent downhill in 2014, and beyond, crime massive migracion from venezuela,i came back to the country in the mid 90,s it was sooo peacfull then, not alot people, and it was safe, now the Chile that i came back. dosent exist. The problem with my country is soooooo damn farrrr, its in the end of the world.now alot of crime, alot, and that was not a problem for chile back in the day.

@@davidtoro4218 It's still safer than the US, according to indexes. Idk, I felt really safe there but some 3 months after I left Leftists started rioting because metro prices (I think) then threw a molotov in a carabinera, burned the metros (which makes sense if you want cheaper prices...right?) the tanks rolled on the streets and killed 35 of them.
I still hold that Chile and Uruguay are better than many european countries, but in a terrible neighborhood, but all with an emotionally childish people prone to elect charismatic dictators. I'm still picking Paraguay though as the most acessible US-like country, but if Argentina continues on the right path I'll one day own a small vinyard in Mendoza lol

Hallulla and marraqueta are the most popular breads in Chile. They are consumed at breakfast in the morning and at tea time in the afternoon, around 6 pm. They are eaten with butter, ham, jam, and the very popular avocado, which makes them very delicious. The avocado is prepared as a purée, with some salt and a little oil to taste.

They live as their name, in corners, dark ones, like inside closets, so you will not see one of those in a camping site. The other thing that can be dangerous is the hanta virus, which is transmitted by a certain mouse that lives in the south of Chile. To prevent catching that virus, always open windows, doors, etc., once you enter a place that's been closed for a while. Other than that, we don't have any dangerous animals or insects. What a wonderful video, thank you guys! It's like going with you. I got very impressed with Rapanui, because was there almost a month in 2007, and it has changed a lot. Hanga Roa is a lot bigger, more souvenir shops, hotels, etc. Maybe you could give tourists certain tips, like when you travel to an island (specially Rapanui because it's so far away) try to not use the hair dryer or an iron because the electricity can not be enough for the whole island, specially in February when they have their Festival, the Tapati. In those days the island duplicates the amount of people, therefore, lots of garbage, etc. It's fragil. Basically, be respectful, which we always should be. I remember when being there, that they didn't have a solution for old car tires, etc., that there is no way to ged rid of, except sending garbage back to the continent. Anyway, I loved your video and subscribed, you guys will keep doing great!
PS: Please use a lot of sunscreen wherever you go in Chile. Sun over here is dangerous. PS2: There es a reason why they close early a lot of places in Atacama Desert. It's because if you get stuck in the desert because your car broke, you can actually freeze at nighttime. There are many parts with no cel phone signal, so you can be alone a while before getting help. And, because the people who work there live far away. The desert has it's own time. Hugs from Chile.

Thank you so much for such an amazing message! 🥰 We so appreciate you responding to the different parts of our video. And yes! Next time we would love to visit the tire garbage in Easter Island, as well as share some more tips on how to get the most out of a particular place. You are so sweet and we can't thank you enough for sharing your thoughts with us. It was a joy for us to read.
And yes! We wear lots of sunscreen now after getting so badly burned in the desert. Haha

@@WyattandReyka As I was seeing the video when you where in San Pedro, I kept waiting to see you guys use sun screen and thinking "OMG these guys are going to get burned", specially when you fell asleep. But sure enough, you learned the lesson.BTW, Anakena isn't the only beach at Rapanui, but is is the tourists beach. Rapanuis have there "secret" beach where you go when the locals invite you LOL. Then you get to see how everybody knows each other, and the sense of community they have. You got right on spot speaking about how expensive it is too. That's because everything except the fish and a few other things has to be brought by ship. And... sometimes when there are storms and ships get delayed, it is possible you go there and there isn't any gas or toilet paper. 😂

Chile is wonderful. Despite the pickpocketeers, its super safe. As a brazilian, I never thought I'd be walking in a 5mi habitants city at 3am like I did in Santiago. Also very clean, except for the leftists vandalizing historical monuments, burning churches and metro, or doing graffitti the classical buildings in general. And I found Santiago somewhat cheaper than my little countryside town.
If they had gun laws and lower taxes like Paraguay, Chile would definitely be my first choice of country. I always dreamed of living in a small vinyeard close to hikeable snowy mountains..like the ones we see on our way to Viña del Mar, which is the bonus as I'd also be living 30min from the beach (with freezing water, unfortunately, but somewhat swimable). And then the desert and the beautiful Torres del Paine which I plan to visit the next time I go there.
And last but not least, the PEOPLE! Chileans were super friendly, and measured no efforts to help us when we went there, from things like helping lost tourists to making sure we left the building in safety during the earthquake we went through on our first day there.

We shoved everything in them and the handle + weight made carrying it through 4 blocks too heavy for my wrists, so my hands were shaky for the next 15min...didn't notice a thing until mom came screaming saying her bed was shaking and someone knocked on our AirBnB door to say we should bail ASAP, 11th floor, can't use elevators in this situation.
It was a strong 6.7 Richter scale, I think it's called "Coquimbo Earthquake". 2 people died (but not in Santiago) and it was international news, so you can imagine how my dad was worried sick when he saw it on the brazilian news, as earthquakes are totally alien for us.

@@WyattandReyka I did enjoy the series and I'm following your travels as time allows, but don't worry about the earthquake; it's nothing special, being close to a heavy cargo train, the ground shakes somewhat the same. Just don't be like those people who try to take selfies near one and become yet another sad youtube videe.
