- I bought a Harley Davidson Modern Classic - Screaming Eagle Road King!
In my defense, I was left unsupervised. Last night while poking around I found that @alligatoralleyharleydavids3556 had a 2007 Screaming Eagle Road King, a bike I have only ever seen one of, and are becoming increasingly rare, especially with this low of miles (14,800). It needs a little bit of TLC, but she’s gonna make for a great fun bike to ride!

Love the classic simplicity of them. We all carry phones, so most of the tech is usually irrelevant and keeps them from looking dated.

I can vouch for the "110 twin cams getreally, really hot in traffic" comment. Mine was bordering on unrideable. i put a true dual system on it and that seemed to help by getting rid of the catalyitic converter. Don't get me wrong, she still runs way hotter than I'd like, but at least now my calf only gets to medium instead of well done. Such a nice guy... buys his wife ANOTHER motorcycle.

Was not even thinking about another motorcycle when i returned from Sturgis 2024. A 2002 softail Deuce fell into my lap, showroom condition $4995 couldn't pass. Bought an identical bike in 2012 to help my son's recovery process after being wounded in Afghanistan. Fell in love with his bike now i have one of my own. 😊

I built my own from a 2007 Ultra Classic SE3. Added Wood TW 7-7H cam, S&S headers, Rinehart mufflers. Congratulations on the purchase.
Having an 05 Electra, I’m looking forward to this build. Side note custom dynamics makes a good module for getting rid of the hyper flash

Went to Sturgis on my 2021 balled out King Special. She shutdown on me 80 miles from Great Falls Montana. On the way back home. Stator Failed. Big Sky got me up and running again.

Nothing better than a King baby! 1 taller bars, black with chrome grips. 2 I would keep the led’s and add the box that stops them from flashing fast. 3 chrome dual exhaust from our good friends at Tab Performance. 4 I’m usually not a fan of air ride suspension but for some reason I think it would work on that bike. 5 a windshield with a light blue tint to it would be cool. And probably a million different things that I will think up later.

Nice ride man. I got started late, my first HD was a 2006 Road King Classic. My actual first bike I bought was a 1979 Honda CB750K. So, I was just gifted a 1991 Heritage Softail. It belonged to my good friend and former boss G.P. McCoy who passed away 2 +years ago. If you’re interested, I’ll post a picture. The paint on her is 99% perfect and has been garaged all its life. But been stored the last 15 years so I got some work to do. It’s the reason I got into HD in the first place. Take care Monkey Man and Mrs Monkey.
Got my 08 FLHRSE4 from space coast 2 years ago and love that thing! Beatiful find on the SE3!
Note: hard bags will absolutely fit! Highly recommended switching to the newer style bags, changes the look and is so much better than the push button (plus locking)

I do love my 05 road king. I put a 96 cubic inch motor in it with cams and screaming eagle oil pump and cam plate, stretched bags and rinehart 4 inch exhaust. Wouldn’t mind having a 110 though. Definitely put black bars on it
If youre looking for windshield I HIGHLY reccomend the windsplitter sits low but moves wind like a 20+ inch windshield. And the tint looks less "old man"

Very nice find. You ask what it needs? Memphis Shades Road Warrior fairing for a Road Glide, and 16 inch Wild One T bars, or West Coast T bars. And then it will be extra cool. And you know it deep down. Ape hangers went out with yesterdays lunch.
had a screaming eagle 110 for years. good motors if you stay ahead of things. The valve spring pressure is high and beats the snot out of the lifts..replace them and treat them as maintenance item. in regards to heat, get an Oilbud oil cooler. tucks under the frame and is a huge heat sink. outstanding oil cooler
Frame change for the FL series was for the 2009 model year.
2014 was the Rushmore change.

I purchased the 08 Limited CVO Roadking brand new. Still have it. I just purchased 23 CVO Roadglide. Still have the 08. Just something special about that bike.

Sexy bike man. I had an 07 classic road king and it got totaled. Hit a deer on her at like 50. Now I’m on an 18 king.
I would put a front fairing on it, spoke wheels with white walls, hard side bags, and new dual pipes out the back, but that's just me. Love the way the bike looks.

Oil cooler… excellent idea. My 09 SE road glide has an HD external oil cooler in front of that chrome rectifier cover. I believe my oil cooler was aN add on w/stage4. The oil cooler is labeled screaming eagle with a plate

I have a 2012 Road King Classic, with Screaming Eagle one and two additions. Yeah, only a 103, but it pulls great and I love the back-to-basic feel...no radio, no air temp gauge, just straight fun riding. Get a darker out windscreen, higher bars, but I'd leave the Reinhart 2-to-1. Good pick. I Saw your chopper at Full Throttle, and we talked a bit...love it too. 26 years Sturgis, baby. Sorry I missed the misses. Wayne out West (Colorado).
I didn't know in 2007 had a hydraulic clutch. Maybe a CVO thing. Great bike. Congrats

my 1st HD i got was 06 RKC, was 1 of them special custom paint jobs (special purple not barney purple and a burnt orange with gold leaf pin stripe lettering) cost extra 2500, just had the 88 motor and of course parts and sales tried talking me into upgrading motor. i wish was able to have kept it vs traded in for the 11 ultra classic which still have in garage. added a 11 CVO RG to garage last yr. i do like the 110 in my RGU CVO.
Just get a load equalizer for the LED lights. And they will not hyperflash

Tj custom dynamics makes the smart triple play which makes your directionals run brake and turn signals,they also make a led pad for the tombstone tailight

Whats Happening! I really like it, like the wheels, a little cleaning, and replacing the r/light bar.. really like the paint, i dont know if its the suttle flames or what, but it has that sweet look to it. Sumone took good care. They prob spent more time playing and putting little custom touchs ( my favorate saterday thing to doo!) Then riding by the low mileage. Put a pro monkey cover on the case. But well done. I can see why you loved it. Sumone gift my man a bell!. I wish yall many happy funfilled , Safe miles brother. I've noticed that you and i have alot of the same 👍's in bikes. Nice bike, I have an '03 Classic and I love it. Based on the bags and the front light, I think is a Custom not a Classic. But those things may have been changed by the previous owner

Very nice bike. Thanks to your videos the wife I just started working on our bikes. You can use custom dynamic LED lighting with the load stabilizer. I have it on a 2005 softail springer with the triple play.

Wheels check out. Front and rear suspension upgrade ( I had Progressive monotube cartridges in my RK and those were awesome. Just put Progressive FSTs in my popo glide and bike rides like on rails), load balancers, new seat, low laying license plate mount with low profile LED tail light, bars, engine guards, pipes and then the biggest challenge, S2 with a great pair of cams, see Amsoil Adam in Daytona for a set of Love Jugs 😂 I'm sure I can come up with more stuff lol

I put Rushmore Bags on my 02 RKC, just bit of modifying to the mounting bracket, had bore hole out bit bigger so they line up with the Rushmore mounting holes.
Saw that bike on the web at Alligator. No price listed but looks nice. Hope you got a good deal on it. Oh, it's a CVO version of the Road King Custom, not Classic. I have a 2007 Classic and while the bags are leather wrapped, they have the chrome buckles. Harley no longer makes the Classic or the Custom, but I think the Custom was discontinued in 2008 while the Classic was made until around 2013. I got a set of hard bags and lower fairing for the Road King to keep the leather bags in good shape.
I have a regular 2007 road king. Can’t wait to see what you do to it.

I just had a bunch of work done on my 2016 Electra Glide and replaced the tires, motor/swingarm mounts and Ohlins rear suspension.
I’ve had a “wobble” at speeds of 80+ mph that seem to decrease with the amount of miles I put on the bike now!
I’m wondering if it’s just the new tires or the combination of new tires, mounts, and suspension that is causing this issue???
I replaced the tires because the tires it had on it were on it when I bought it and I rode it over 9k miles since I bought the bike before having this extensive work done, and I had no idea how long the tires were on the bike before I bought it!

I believe you can run LED’s on that bike you just need a load equalizer resistor.

2007 110 Blue , i had the same one and still have the stock Exhaust too. I put a pair of Auxiliary lights on mine.
The old seat has a tab , could you put a tab on newer seat?
