Have you heard the Acustica Purple and the NoiseAsh version of the Pultec? Opinions on those plugs relative to this?
I’ve got both and the acustica sound better, but the noiseash gets more use because it isn’t as cpu hungry
I've suspected that subtle or micro differences can have a kind of unexpected macro effect on what we hear (or how we hear it).

@@hodshonf EQing shifts the phrase differently, this is the main part of a character and depth. In plugindoctor you can switch Phase mode and take a look, just like we see the eq curve
9:50 he wrote he matched the phase as well.
